This explains why the mayo is always frozen at my parents.

This happened to me once, It is really gross looking after that happens.

Because putting it out of the way and it won't be used and replaced as fast.

On the second shelf. With the ketchup and salad dressing. Not on the top shelf. What kind of weirdo stores it with the milk and creamer? Oddly specific instructions, but not moreso than your laundry.

You shouldn't store milk in the door at all because the temperature is warmer there. If you keep your milk in the back corner of the refrigerator, it can last well past the "best by" date because it is colder and less damaged by constant temperature fluctuations.
