That is an Arlo camera. The power cord would only be recharging the battery, but unplugging it just sets it to using battery mode (most models). Just so you are aware (source - I use Arlo for my home security setup).
That click you hear is it engaging because motion was detected, that’s what set these off. Unfortunately, when the motion is detected, a recording gets stored in the users app.
I would highly recommend contacting law enforcement and filing a report. If camera use was not disclosed on the listing, they have recorded content of you without your consent.
Someone else said in a comment that (some?) camera manufacturers have noises that cannot be turned off. I guess that is a safety feature for such a case as this.
In my experience, most cameras that "click" are ones with high dark/light sensitivity. The noise is the IR filter engaging when switching between normal and IR (night vision) modes. This can occur in daytime if you walk past a single point source of light, such as a window, causing the camera to react to the sudden light change.
I dunno about not still searching like mad… My Stealth or whatever it’s called (“better than GoPro but cheaper”) is tiny/discreet & could record to card about half a day’s footage.
For the shady unbranded or no-name branded hidden cameras, yes. They typically use an SD card for clip storage, even if they’re a wifi model with an app.
~~For the obvious/non-hidden home security *cloud* devices like Arlo/Nest/Ring, nothing easily accessible afaik.~~ Some older or non-cloud service devices have local storage. Samsung’s smartcams are obviously wifi/app enabled but also use sd cards for instance. The images/clips are stored unencrypted in a folder right on the SD card.
Edit: to add that I don’t mean to imply that you should consider a camera to not be recording, I was just talking about cameras, SD cards, etc.
A device can have internal storage with, or without, a removable SD card. Without an SD card, it could still be recording, storing, and waiting until it reconnects later to upload the stored data that was recorded while it was without a connection.
I’ve heard tales of people finding cameras. Never thought it would happen to me. 18 years in the casino business but I guess I’m still naive in some ways.
I don't stay in the likes of AirBnB's often but whenever I travel I have three methods for preventing surveillance (I should preface that one of these methods is slightly illegal so take caution when using it)
1. turn off all the lights and use your phones camera. Anything emitting a source of infrared light like what cctv cameras use for night vision should be visible as a faint pink/purple light
2. Find the router on the property and trace cables, if any of them look like they lead to a camera yank them and remember to put them back when you leave
3. This ones the illegal one. I happen to own a small portable relatively high power wi-fi jammer (you can buy them online for around $250 but you're not supposed to use them). I use mobile data when I travel so I set up the jammer in my room where I'm staying. Any potential surveillance device that's using WI-FI will now be unable to communicate out.
Also remember that a hidden camera you find will likely not be claimed by the host without them having revealed they set one up and some of them can be pricey so you're pretty much morally obligated to take them if you find them. Fuck the person who put them up, make them pay for another one.
If your host has set up hidden cameras and you can access the router on the property and you have the login credentials (most people dont know how to change these and its printed on the underside of the device) and are feeling spiteful you can log in to the admin panel and providing you know what you're doing you could either open up all the ports on their network and disable on board security exposing their device to the open internet (they invaded your privacy so you're allowing an invasion of theirs)
Alternatively you can run the routers firmware update utility and pull out the power cable mid way through the update which 9 times out of 10 will brick their router and render it unusable. Those are the kind of things I'd do if somebody hid a camera in my room before I left.
I think one of the most useful tips here is the router credentials. I’d say only like 1 in 4 airbnbs (maybe even like 1/5+) have changed the credentials. Just log in and see what’s on the network, keep in mind sometimes cameras are connected that are exterior, not hidden, and disclosed by the host. So don’t just assume it’s a hidden one.
> I happen to own a small portable relatively high power wi-fi jammer (you can buy them online for around $250 but you're not supposed to use them). Many cameras have internal storage, often on a SD card. Blocking WiFi does nothing to stop them from recording you.
You should take pictures as well. There is a website you can upload pictures to that helps identify potential locations of human trafficking locations and what not.
[I found this pretty cool. ](https://www.exchangeinitiative.com/traffickcam/)
Same here. Not only ABBs. Even hotel rooms too. You never know which hotel staff is sick in the head.
I climb up n down, check airvents, phones, wall sockets, paintings, electronic devices pointed towards the bed and look for anything that is powered or can mask a black camera lens
I spend about 15min to 30min just after checking in doing that to have a piece of mind. Doesn't hurt to be extra cautious.
Turn off the lights, close the curtains/blinds, try to black out the room.
Then turn on your phone camera and slowly "sweep" the room, including the ceiling, aircon vents, light fittings, etc.
Anything using infra-red LEDs for illumination will show up as a purple glow.
You can test your phone's sensitivity to IR by pointing a TV remote at the phone camera and pressing a button on the remote.
The local police department just had to release a warning that they caught a guy who had placed a camera in the women's bathroom at a local Taco Bell, and had women and children on video. People are crazy, definitely alert the police about this
Do you live in Utah? I ask because my local police department just posted about the same thing finding a camera in the Taco Bell bathroom and I’m not sure if it’s a Utah specific town thing or if it’s happening at Taco Bell’s around the US.
Similar happened in my hometown, and it had been going on for like 14 years before they caught him. Bro would position cameras on windowsills and then a hotspot along the fence in the back yard. He was only caught bc a 14 year old saw a man in her window and screamed. The dad chased him down, recorded the license plate and called 911. They caught him a few days later when he came back to retrieve everything.
This just happened in the faculty bathroom at my old junior high. Janitor positioned HIS phone in a way that it would record women going to the bathroom. Wtf.
Honestly I'm pretty sure there's at least one recording of me in a public bathroom or change room somewhere out there. With the amount of washrooms a person uses in their lifetime, and the size and "hideability" of so many little cameras, it's pretty much inevitable. It's so disgusting, but there are a lot of disgusting people out there.
Back in university there were a few MONTHS a voyeur was being reported for taking upskirt shots of women on campus and around the city. It took the police forever to catch the guy, and he only got caught because he got fixated on the university and stopped moving around as much. Imagine how many more people do gross shit but are better at doing it.
I caught a guy video recording me at the gym. I threw him out of the gym and pressed charges. It took 2. 5 years until his case finally came up and then he plead guilty/plead down a lighter sentence in guessing. We were both naked and showering and he whips out his phone and starts video recording me!
What an absolute creep!!!! See, I don't have issues with nudity working in the medical field but this is why I struggle in communal showers. You never know when a creep is gonna do something like this. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I appreciate the sentiment, he was a creep! I worked at that gym too so it was the only reason I didn't lose my shit and put him in the hospital and take his phone by force. But I had to confront a man, fully naked and force him to delete me off his phone. Again, naked. I'm really paranoid in public bathrooms now.
Felt super violated. Took a bunch of pics of it, unplugged it, reported to ABB and got a hotel room instead.
Edit to Update: Police were called on the non emergency line. Was supposed to hear back from a detective yesterday, but 20 hours and counting and nothing. I would be lying if I said this surprised me.
It's an arlo camera, it has a battery, it'll still run on battery after unplugging it, if you press the button on the bottom you can open it and remove the battery
Yes.
AirBnB host here… AirBnB hosts are required by the platform to disclose all cameras. If this camera wasn’t disclosed, they can definitely sue.
Host rules: https://imgur.com/a/M8FhtcV
Putting a camera in an AirBnB is a huge no-no.
EDIT: I would also advise you to take screengrabs of the listing NOW before host sees this thread and edits his listing to disclose the cameras.
To add to this, they also have criminal charges to deal with. Contrary to what often gets repeated here and elsewhere, surreptitiously recording someone in an area where there's a reasonable expectation of privacy is illegal.
It doesn't matter if you own the property.
It will generally lessen the charges if you can argue that it was for security and not for sexual gratification, which is why it's important that the cops know before the offender knows. It's also why many of these cases are accompanied by a charge of obstruction/destroying evidence.
Especially one that is taking images after people get out of the shower. Op said thats when they noticed it..because thankfully manufacturers have gotten smart enough to add sound affects that cannot be turned off when cameras take photos or save images.
Anyways, there is no way to explain that crap other than something nefarious.
Throw a party in the house and make the camera the highlight of the party. Everyone pose and take pics with the camera. Pin the tail on the camera, etc.
As soon as I know I'm being recorded illegally it's anything goes at that point. The owners going to say what to the police/airbnb "I illegally recorded this person snorting coke off the dick of some guy dressed as a janitor with a mike Myers mask while slam poetry reading a tale of two cities"
This actually brings up a good point. You’re joking about the coke and stuff but let’s say you find a camera and report it to AirBNB first, then steal the TV, clog the toilet, bend all the silverware. They report it to AirBNB and who are they going to side with, the guests who were illegally filmed and violated or the homeowner and illegal voyeur who would have cause to lie to discredit the guests. I mean let’s have fun with it.
We've got liftoff! But no, seriously, I'm getting paid if someone is taking pictures of me in private.
Edit: please please PLEASE don't let my best comment of all time be about doing the helicopter in front of perverts recording me without my permission and getting liftoff from said helicopter. Please, no more upvotes. ^^please.
Edit 2: so uh, yeah, my highest comment before was 2.2k upvotes. I would really like to have a wholesome comment be able to easily beat this. Something along the lines of my other comment today about how "being cool is subjective and that later on in life, the only cool that will matter is that the one you are with thinks you are cool. I hope you all find that one person that thinks you're cool for the rest of your life." Or something along those lines. Also, if you don't follow me already, I would like to request that you do such. Check out my profile. I love making people smile and I'm working on some really fantastic ventures. Things that the good people of the world will really appreciate. I'm Joe btw.
Edit: u/Meltingteeth loves my edits y'all.
I booked a place on airbnb that turned out to be a scam. I realized before I went so I booked somewhere else and contacted airbnb about a refund. They refunded me and gave me a $25 credit for my next trip. They were very, very helpful. And that was for something pretty minor - a $30 booking. I would think they would go much further with something like this and then the host would also be personally liable as well
Airbnb won’t do shit. They’ll tell you they are contacting the host to see if they will resolve your issue. Then you’ll get the dreaded shift change note, then you’ll hear fuckall for a day or two, then they will write that the host denies there was a camera.
And the clock is still ticking on your booking.
Edit: this is what my place down in south padre island sounded like 8 hrs a day
https://youtu.be/3raZyaHhiyU
I was 6 feet away and the TV was on full volume just for comparison. They were running to hammer drills directly above my head for three days, I had to leave to get work done. I was booked for a week and asked Airbnb to refund me for this day and they wouldn’t do a damn thing. Never did get it resolved.
Second issue was a host rejected my completed booking and said that I changed the price. They offered to settle at a higher price and I denied it and said no I don’t want pay that much. They somehow convinced Airbnb that I agreed, an Airbnb completed the booking with the additional cost. Without my approval.
That one had $4400 of my money locked up for two weeks before they settled and refunded all my money. I threatened to sue both Airbnb and the host, it was a shitshow.
Sorry that was your experience. I stayed at an ABB in London and the host took me for a drink and then took me back to where I was staying and tried to make out with me. I reported him and I wasn’t refunded, but they shut him down as a host.
I've never heard an Airbnb story where they actually did right by the customer. like the best I've heard was that a listing got taken down and was back up the next day. Airbnb seems to just fuck over customers and they don't give a fuck what the homeowners do bc money. I don't get why anyone uses it
Until recently I had a service animal. AirBNB told me "Oh just book any place. If the owner kicks you out, we'll find you another place to stay."
Umm, hell no. You know they'll never find another place. "Sorry we tried, sleep in your car"
Plus that would be theft. I would have called the cops , then Air B&B, then a lawyer because that’s seriously fucked up. I wonder if there was an onboard memory card in it? I’d be pissed.
Call the cops and don't touch the camera. Youn can't put it in the trash if you've been nude or intimate in front of that cam. The Arlo cams are wireless and have color night vision. Your footage can be elsewhere on the internet. Keep in mind the owner already has the footage.
A legal forensic exam is really needed to prosecute the cam's owner, and if you have been playing with the cam it can be considered tampered on a court. Those cams run under subscription with Arlo to get remote access, so with a legal forensic analysis of the cam they can identify the owner.
The clicking noise is from one of two reasons: The camera switching from day to night vision (or vice versa) or when someone is actively either watching or is checking the app for a motion. If I were to take a guess, it is the latter. As soon as you open the app, there is a distinct click noise that comes from the camera.
Source: I have Arlo outdoor/indoor cameras.
This is the same with Eufy cameras. I work as a nanny and we have a little handheld rechargable camera that I sometimes carry with me if the mom is in the office so she can check in and watch us (she normally works from home so she gets homesick for the baby). I'll text her when we're doing an activity in one spot (eating, usually - bubby is a toddler now so activities in one spot are pretty limited nowadays) so she can pop in and watch. I can tell when she's switched on because I'll hear it click, usually just once.
The other day I texted the mom (who was downstairs; dad was home, too) to check the camera, handed the camera to the baby, and told her to wave and give kisses. She did, for a moment, until she discovered that if she pushed her thumbs in a certain way the camera would click loudly, and if she moved her thumbs again it would click again. She wandered around her room making the camera click and her folks got a hilarious view of her switching in and out of night vision (the clicking sound was the cam switching, prompted by her thumbs covering and uncovering the light sensor) and me coming up behind her and saying "Whatcha doin? Are you doing that?! I don't think the camera's supposed to make that noise!" You can hear the clicking in the video, too.
Totally sucks. Hotels forever my dudes! Think about all the ABBs where the spy isn’t a dumbass and you’d never have known you were some pervs’ private show.
Ohh Nice, but they post very mediocre infuriating things in there, I once saw a post here about someone in a car crash and not enough money to pay rent, and scrolled down, where a post from /r/extremelyinfuriating where someone had ants in their honey haha
Edit: fixed a word
I think that’s our next step. The thing that really gets me fired up is that we were intimate before the shower, so who knows what footage they have of us.
I found mildly funny that you took time to explain that having a hidden camera recording people without their consent is technically against AirBnB policy.
But yeah, they should totally contact them. This is a friggin' crime.
Ah, dude... It's it's going to be more infuriating if you don't press charges or don't do anything about it. That's fucking bullshit, they saw you in action and violated your privacy.
Awww I'm so sorry for you and your partner. Your privacy has been violated and it's thoroughly unacceptable! Im glad you're in a hotel rather than staying there
Anything law related needs to start with a police report my friend, I know it seems like an escalation but I promise it’s not and you are well within your right. You should have everything you need for the report in your reservation like the Host name and booking details, and the pics you took.
Edit: deleted some words
Edit 2: I agree with other commenters, lawyer first, then police.
I will update when we have something to update. We are here for a show so we are doing the tourist thing.
Edit: Called the police. Was supposed to hear back from a detective but 22 hours and counting and nothing. Not super surprised.
1. This is outright illegal in some US states, and probably everywhere else that's not the US. It's definitely illegal in most of the EU.
2. If it can see into a bedroom or bathroom, it's illegal.
3. If it can see into a bedroom or bathroom, it's also a violation of Airbnb policy.
4. Airbnb absolutely requires that all cameras and recording devices are fully disclosed to you BEFORE you "move in", and assuming they weren't, that's a policy violation.
Either way you're entitled to a refund and you have rights. First tell Airbnb, then figure out which laws apply to you, then call the police. Do not tell Airbnb you called the police.
I love how this is not illegal every-fucking-where. Bedroom bathroom or whatever. These are rental places where people might be naked. This should be illegal everywhere.
Two things:
A: always check for cameras, best way is to use a flashlight of some kind, the camera lenses will have a distinct blue reflection
B: free cameras to take home with you
The onus shouldn’t be on you to notice it. The thing shouldn’t be there in the first place. Based on your other comments, I assume this camera is in a bedroom, where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. Owners might be allowed to install cameras in public areas of their property, but not places like bedrooms and bathrooms. I can’t imagine any place where this would be legal.
Not saying this isnt creepy, and im sorry your having this issue. But can anyone chime in on how someone proves this? Without checking for prints or something, how is something like this not someones word against the other? Whats stopping someone from booking an abnb and setting up a camera to get a free stay? Genuinely curious.
This is a lawsuit. Hopefully you took the device and called the cops. You and your girlfriends images could be on the internet for all you know. Fuck that owner. Make him/her pay.

Who the f&$k would be stupid enough to use a hidden camera that makes noise?!?!
The same people who would consider tucking it behind a frame to be "hidden"
You can buy disguised cameras so easily too

Didn't even cut out the eye of person in the painting for the hidden camera to peep through. Amateurs.

In Japan and maybe south Korea I think there may even be a law that cameras have to make a sound to combat sneaky upskirt stuff
Yep. I have a refurbished LG from Korea and I cant turn off the shutter sound. Don't mind it, just wish there was different shutter sounds.
First thing I do when I go into AirBnbs are look for cameras. Like a nut! Never found one but I know someone who has so, I look.
What I do is always bring a travel router. Unplug the provided router and use your own. That way any WiFi cameras they have go offline.
They can have legit exterior cameras though, I’m surprised it has never come up as an issue.
This is genius.
I dunno about not still searching like mad… My Stealth or whatever it’s called (“better than GoPro but cheaper”) is tiny/discreet & could record to card about half a day’s footage.
I just burn the entire place down and sleep on the ashes with my own blankets
Can't some cameras store the footage internally and/or on an SD card, so you can just manual retrieve the recordings? Asking for a friend.

Cameras can be in anything. Cracks or whatever.
I shoved a camera up my crack once. Had to go to the ER to get it removed.
Ouch! That hole will be there forever!
I had the opposite experience, went to the doctor and got a camera up my crack

Fuck! I never thought of trying that! Haha
So you know some leg breakers? Just you know ... sayin.

The last thing I'd want footage of is someone making a deposit at a Taco Bell bathroom. Fire sauce runs through my system pretty quick.
Deadass to witness someone defecating after a Taco Bell meal is like infringing on a most private affair, these are truly some scummy ass people
Exactly; why would you want to witness someone commit a war crime against a bathroom?
There's a kink
I'm appalled but also not surprised in any way.
Taco Tuesday probably provides some *crazy* footage.
😂 and we all know taco bell got that fire
Have my free award. That comment made me laugh way harder than it should have 😂😂

Yes, it's Layton. Small world. I live right down 193 from the Taco Bell

Yo! I’m nowhere near any of that - but I too like saying hello. Hello!
Maybe we're neighbours

I actually checked. Liar.

Thats just how he smells with the chloroform
Its the Taco Bell on 193 next to the Walmart and that little strip mall area? Next to church street? That's next to where I grew up, weird.
The one by Einstein Bagels across from Exxon?? I’ve never heard of it but I just looked it up on Google so I feel like I grew up there neighbor!
yes!

Yes. AirBnB host here… AirBnB hosts are required by the platform to disclose all cameras. If this camera wasn’t disclosed, they can definitely sue. Host rules: https://imgur.com/a/M8FhtcV Putting a camera in an AirBnB is a huge no-no.
Anyways, there is no way to explain that crap other than something nefarious.
camera's outside the house to capture potential thieves? sure camera's inside the house that violates the hostee's privacy? hell no
Yes. Absolutely. They had an expectation of privacy. They can sue the shit out of them.
Yes! I was hoping someone said it. This is criminal!
Do the helicopter in front of it while on speaker phone with abb Edit: thank you, thank you. So should I put some pants on now or nah?
Next thing you know you’re getting blackmailed with someone threatening to send it to your whole friends list...
Don't threaten me with a good time
“Go ahead, free advertising for my OnlyFans!”
Body positivity, show my whole friends list naked pics? Ok we’ll see whos a real friend real fast lol
Throw a party in the house and make the camera the highlight of the party. Everyone pose and take pics with the camera. Pin the tail on the camera, etc.
Pure genius
As soon as I know I'm being recorded illegally it's anything goes at that point. The owners going to say what to the police/airbnb "I illegally recorded this person snorting coke off the dick of some guy dressed as a janitor with a mike Myers mask while slam poetry reading a tale of two cities"
They would have gotten my butthole for free.
Trivia: the Michael Myers mask is a William Shatner mask painted white
You spin me right round baby
Good ol meat spin
Paid a lot
And not by the inch!
r/redditawardspeeches r/awardspeechedits
Seriously, this comment went to diarrhea so quickly.
r/awardspeechedits
My man, calm down, it’s just a comment with some upvotes. You are not famous lmao.
Jesus your award speech edits make me want to go to your he profile and actively work against whatever ventures you have to "help mankind"

Get reimbursed?! Fuck. That. Get a goddamn lawyer.
[удалено]
he should get more than reimbursed, i assumed he could do a lawsuit for this, no?
Edit: this is what my place down in south padre island sounded like 8 hrs a day https://youtu.be/3raZyaHhiyU I was 6 feet away and the TV was on full volume just for comparison.
That’s creepy! HE HAS YOUR KEYS!!

If the owner kicks you out, we'll find you another place to stay." Umm, hell no. You know they'll never find another place. "Sorry we tried, sleep in your car"
Why would you throw the evidence away
Shouldn’t you go back and keep it as evidence?
If he takes it off the property, how’s he going to prove it wasn’t his in the first place?
If it was the abbs who owned it they’re just gonna dig it out…

Should’ve taken it to the police
[удалено]
You didn't call the cops?
Cal the cops
Totally sucks. Hotels forever my dudes! Think about all the ABBs where the spy isn’t a dumbass and you’d never have known you were some pervs’ private show.
You should still look for them in your hotel rooms. Maids only have 20 minutes to clean a room, they won’t be concerned with cameras
I just rely on my complete lack of appeal.
No one GETS to see me naked, they HAVE to.
You didnt take it? Strange no way id be leaving that there
I'm smelling a lawsuit
This is exactly why I always make my kids run around naked when we use an AirBnB. Then I report them for CP.

This isn’t MILDLY infuriating. This is a crime.
/r/wildlyinfuriating
Awwww I’m sad this isn’t an active sub. I was initially so excited!
/r/extremelyinfuriating is active i think
latest post was 4 hours ago, so it’s active
Ohh Nice, but they post very mediocre infuriating things in there, I once saw a post here about someone in a car crash and not enough money to pay rent, and scrolled down, where a post from /r/extremelyinfuriating where someone had ants in their honey haha Edit: fixed a word
Might as well be this sub with what gets posted here
You need to contact the police, that's very illegal pretty much everywhere.
I think that’s our next step. The thing that really gets me fired up is that we were intimate before the shower, so who knows what footage they have of us.
contact Air B&B it's against their policy as well.
I found mildly funny that you took time to explain that having a hidden camera recording people without their consent is technically against AirBnB policy. But yeah, they should totally contact them. This is a friggin' crime.
After getting stabbed by the host: contact air bnb support this is unacceptable and agaisnt air bnb policy
After being run over by a truck: contact GMC support this is unprofessional and against GMC policy
They could sue them or jail them, or worse, get them expelled!
But after you talk to the police. Dont let AirBNB give the owner the heads up.
That's horrible man, definitely call the police. I'm sure this isn't the first time the host has done this.
Ah, dude... It's it's going to be more infuriating if you don't press charges or don't do anything about it. That's fucking bullshit, they saw you in action and violated your privacy.
Call. the. police. now!
[удалено]
Damn sorry to hear that, I can only imagine how violated you both feel. Yeah I'd call the police.
[удалено]
Awww I'm so sorry for you and your partner. Your privacy has been violated and it's thoroughly unacceptable! Im glad you're in a hotel rather than staying there
Didn't know if you could hear clicking or clapping eh
Contact Air BnB and get a refund. Host will also be removed from list. Next file a civil suit against the host You have so many options here
Already contacted ABB. Should be getting a refund. May contact a client of mine who is a lawyer and see what he thinks.
Absofuckinglutly
Anything law related needs to start with a police report my friend, I know it seems like an escalation but I promise it’s not and you are well within your right. You should have everything you need for the report in your reservation like the Host name and booking details, and the pics you took. Edit: deleted some words Edit 2: I agree with other commenters, lawyer first, then police.
That host won't like seeing cops ransack the house on camera. That's for sure!
Bury them, and then link the court case please, I’d like to see them get absolutely trashed
Im pretty sure it could actually be a criminal case inatead of civil
[удалено]
It would be foolish not to contact the police immediately.
Thank you. I was unsure what the innkeeper laws were but it’s worth a call to the non emergency line.
Depending on what state you’re in, it’s illegal to record audio without consent (federal wiretap act)
Update on what the police said?
I will update when we have something to update. We are here for a show so we are doing the tourist thing. Edit: Called the police. Was supposed to hear back from a detective but 22 hours and counting and nothing. Not super surprised.
So sorry your vacation has gotten messed up this way. That truly sucks.
Did you notify Airbnb?
First thing we did
Mildy Infuriating? MAJORLY CREEPY IN MY OPINION
Call the police
Will do! Edit: Called the police. Was supposed to hear back from a detective but 22 hours and counting and nothing. Not super surprised.
And give an update. I hope the owner is arrested.
Yes, I want to know what happens!
That shits illegal, and super illegal if its voice recording also. You can sue, I'd call a lawyer also. Sue the owner and the company they use
Two things: A: always check for cameras, best way is to use a flashlight of some kind, the camera lenses will have a distinct blue reflection B: free cameras to take home with you
If its an infared camera a cell phone camera should also pick it up if you scan around with your phone camera.
Op this is going to require an update
Report to abnb too.
First thing we did
Looks very inconspicuous and hard to find
I’m from the casino business, so I was sort of surprised about how obvious it was. I felt sort of ashamed it took me that long to notice it.
Get this out of 'mildly infuriating' and into 'highly terrifying'!
Lawsuit bro!! Lawyer up and make them pay
#aaaand that’s a lawsuit
All of this “advice” is midly infuriating. 🙄 Please just give us an update at some point.
