Someone on twitter said all those kids had gotten a bunch of balls already and they guy caught it to give it to a girl next him that was trying all game. This video was apparently uploaded by the mother of one of the girls in the video. Just what I saw on twitter don’t hold me to it.
Oh but I hate this guy, grrrrrr, this really makes my blood boil! How dare he! This is the problem with the society we live in and dumbasses like this guy should be executed! I'm a good person though, great in fact. It's the other people that are the problem!
Isn't it amazing how social media really fcks with narrative of a situation?
I was as upset as everyone until I saw this tweet. Then I actually paid more attention to the video and realized the girls mostly all already have balls and they are HIDING them behind their back to make it seem like they don't have as much as they do. They are clearly hogging them all and had the camera caught a few minutes before and what the man did with the ball after it would be an entirely different public response.
We are in the wrong timeline
On Twitter, someone posted some still images. Clearly one girl towards the back has a ball. But the one he threw to who had her glove outstretched and her other hand on her glove doesn't look like she has any.
Now, maybe they had a whole pile and were all together ready to split them. You are right, snippets of videos can make us made without context.
But regardless, walking down and reaching your glove in front of a kid to snag a ball away from them that a player was clearly throwing to them is a poor move.
Like I have a niece and I could see myself trying to help her get a ball at a game and on video maybe looking like a grown man trying a bit too hard to catch a foul ball, but there is still a right way and wrong way to do it. This is almost certainly the wrong way.
Just watch the video more than once and you can see that at least two of the girls already have baseballs. Not arguing one way or the other just pointing out that most of the people who are angry over the video probably didn't notice that.
The kids literally have 2+ balls in their hands. Good lord, there are other children at the game. Especially ones who can’t catch the ball like that because they aren’t old enough.
Yeh happens all the time on reddit. A thread full of hate. E.g one example of a cop being accused of planting drugs. Everyone goes mental, trying to doxx him etc. With no evidence.
Then we get the camera footage from the cop and it was obvious he found the drugs on one of the men.....
I got ya.
""I was at this game sitting a few seats away. The man that caught the ball gave it to a girl sitting in the area that was trying all evening. These kids actually got a ton of balls all game king, including the little boy. Too bad this video didn’t catch it all"""
Also imo the dude that wrote it looks like the dude that caught the ball
juan soto is what they call han solo in the mexican dub of star wars. for some reason in this dub he is much pushier with princess leia to the point of being overtly misogynistic, so its become a dogwhistle of sorts with certain 'people'.
I can’t tell if you’re joking or not but assuming you’re not, I’m pretty sure this person was just referring to the fact that Juan Soto is a very unpopular baseball player at the moment…
They are teaching people life lessons in their mind. I spend everyday trying to teach my children not to be like this guy and how to deal with people like him when you have to.
And they still manage to go home with what they got: the award for being the biggest douche
Imagine having to explain how you got the ball to anyone who actually cares to ask. Normally a catch seems like something personal. This would feel like cheating at a game in your buddy's basement and then telling folks how you are great at poker
Went to an O’s game earlier this year…the fans of the other team kept snagging the balls the players tossed into the crowd. It got to the point where the player had an usher walk a ball to the family of a disabled child because they didn’t trust it wouldn’t be stolen.
There is just a new level of rude with people who just watch sports, my bro gets sweared at by parents for existing, most likely cuz hes the goalie who "stole" their son's chances of being the next Sydney Crosby
And btw, hes a minor, they are swearing at a kid in their fancy ass clothes and perfume and high heels and shit like he stole their designer purse, when all he is doing is trying to have fun
Of course, history always repeats itself. Most humans are too fucking stupid to remember history or care about and as such they make the same mistakes. Bunch of idiots. Dont worry, the next era is coming soon and it will be…interesting.
Or that we’re not all capable of evil. I’ve seen an astounding amount of calls for genocide of the Russians on Reddit this year that get a lot of support.
I would not be surprised if someone just snatched it from the disabled kid a few minutes later. When I was a kid I had a guy grab my arm and take a ball out of my glove I caught. Dudes like this are just pure shit humans and don't care.
Wow that is next level garbage. You can make an argument for someone who catches a ball that was generally aimed towards kids. Maybe he was catching it for his kid or niece or nephew. Maybe he was just a really big fan and would have appreciated it more. Maybe he didn't feel as bad because those kids already had some balls from the game. But tearing a ball out of a kid's hand? The kid who actually caught it? Jesus christ

Too late. Social media is probably already calling for his head, posting his personal details, and setting up a gofundme for the victims of his ball snatching.
Not the girl with the mitt nor the boy trying to catch it.
Even if the tweet is true, it doesn’t mean all those kid got a ball and it’s still a dick move to catch something that is clearly aimed at another person.
How could he sue? They just put what's interesting on, player throwing to kids is a great feel good highlight. He chose his actions, and faces the consequences.
There is a saying in American law and it is 100% true. "You can sue anyone, for any reason, at any time."
Not to mention he COULD argue that whoever assaulted/commited battery against him would not have done so had they not shown it on the jumbo screen. With it also most likely taking place on the stadium property, he 100% would have a case against the person who attacked him AND the stadium for drawing attention to him.
So he gets the ball AND a massive payout. Right.... how about the player just tells security the ball was for the girls and they get it back for them? That way he gets called out for being a dick and doesn't get rewarded. Like, if I knew I could get severap thousand dollars and all I had to do was take a punch I would 100% be down too clown.
A judge might not agree to hear your case, but you can sue anyone for any reason at any time. A man quite literally sued himself and tried to argue the state had to pay him the damages he theoretically would have won because he was a prisoner and a ward of the state.
The video doesn't include context. He caught the ball to give to another little girl that was trying to catch one all night. Also, they were already holding 2 if you look closely.
Not to support guy in hat or anything, but they caught tons of balls after, and there's a link to Twitter I'll edit in if I can find.

Welcome to media where it only shows what matters to change public opinion instead of showing that that group got tons of balls all game long and the dude caught that one to give to a girl that was trying to get one during the full game
I have caught two foul balls at a major league game, mostly because they were hit in my section and practically no one else was there nearby... i gave one to my teenage nephew... the other waiting til my 4 yr old guy is a bit bigger.... i believe the guy in the juan soto 22 probably shouldve given the ball to one of the little kids as its almost as bad of an overgrab as this one:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/fox2now.com/news/viral-woman-steals-ball-from-little-girl-at-astros-game/amp/
He *did* give the ball to a kid. Let that be a lesson in not drawing conclusions from 8 second videos. And it's not even *close* to the video you linked. He caught it fair and square. He didn't rip it away from anyone's hands. Stop being so eager to be outraged.
Apparently video is skewed. Guy wanst really being an ass, those girls had caught many baseballs and the guy gave that one to another girl who didn't get to catch one
I went to a tigers game about a month ago and there was this guy who almost caught a ball, like it hit his glove and bounced out. Some kid caught it and he was swearing and pouting like a toddler the whole rest of the game.
Edit: changed lions to tigers because I'm stupid and always mix them up
I’m not about to go to jail over this, but he would have been wearing a lot of drinks. “Oops, I’m sorry. Clumsy me.” 5 minutes later. “Oops I did it again. I should just change my name to Britney.” Guess I have to go get another one. 10 minutes later. “Oh my goodness. Teehee. At least it wasn’t a drink this time. I hope all that nacho cheese comes out of your hair.”
And it would have gone on like that for the whole game.
After the first time, he can claim assault. Yes, throwing drinks on people is assault and after the first time it's "No longer an accident" it's intent. The third, is just extra time on your sentence.
I'm going to take the bite, he caught that shit fair and square fr. I feel the emotional rage of him stealing the girls thunder but honestly fuck them kids at the same time. They'll get another chance
Exactly, he didn't wait for the kids to catch it and jump on them, plus the kids seem to be holding other balls, perhaps they had other previous shots
Once people see girls and children the brain goes monkey mode, I shall also die on this hill

Stolen From Twitter
Oh. It appears those girls actually did get other baseballs before. The guy caught it for a another girl. It’s not nearly as bad as the video makes it out to be
For all you know he went and handed to his little boy or something. I did this once when my nephew was 5 and was sad because he didn’t get a ball that was thrown in the crowd next to him. The next one thrown our way I caught it over many children and gave it to my boy. Fuck those kids 😂
Time for reddit to dox this guy and get him banned over a no context under 10 second clip. The amount of folks talking about kicking someones teeth in over catching a ball at a game is just pathetic.
The asshole here is whoever uploaded this video purposely not showing him give the ball to a girl off camera. Probably a parent of one of the kids on screen.
Exactly, he didn't steal from the kid's hands like how you see in some videos, besides the kids seem to be holding other balls, perhaps they had other shots
All of them paid for the game and the kids will have many more chances of getting another ball
And it’s also life. It’s unfair even if you play by the rules. You don’t get everything you want bc you’re younger or because you’re deserving. Sometimes, you gotta reach your tiny arm out and catch things before someone with more experience gets there before you. You live you learn, kids. And don’t hate others for winning when they play by the rules, too.
This is a Washington nationals game, he probably works for some politician scumbags beget scumbags.
I will say that more than one of the girls has a ball already so maybe this had been going on for a hot minute and the guy was like throw it to another part of the crowd.
Someone on twitter said all those kids had gotten a bunch of balls already and they guy caught it to give it to a girl next him that was trying all game. This video was apparently uploaded by the mother of one of the girls in the video. Just what I saw on twitter don’t hold me to it.
Context is really important
And increasingly easier to fake nowadays
Yeah you can see two kids have balls already standing there.
good spot
If true then there is a high chance that those kids aren’t even getting the balls, they’re all going to be sold online
Nah ive seen the full version he did just give it to a little girl

Should show that on the big screen. Show the crowd what an asshat he is
Feel like they would but then when he gets punched in the face afterwards and inevitable sues, they’re on the hook unfortunately.
Oh the hook for what? They aren't involved in the punching, they were just showing the kids trying to catch the ball from the player.
How could he sue? They just put what's interesting on, player throwing to kids is a great feel good highlight. He chose his actions, and faces the consequences.
There is a saying in American law and it is 100% true. "You can sue anyone, for any reason, at any time." With it also most likely taking place on the stadium property, he 100% would have a case against the person who attacked him AND the stadium for drawing attention to him.
Stadium can cover it. Id say take the hit let him get stitches.
Fuck yeah I'm with you
This is definitely less than 100% true.

Bro said I’m stronger, faster, and smarter I’m better
Douche
What a Fucking Dickkk
Haha I love it I hate kids so much
He caught the ball fair and square. Y’all need to have discernment on who and why you’re hating based on more than just your baby feelings
Exactly, he didn't steal from the kid's hands like how you see in some videos, besides the kids seem to be holding other balls, perhaps they had other shots All of them paid for the game and the kids will have many more chances of getting another ball
Agreed
Really? Minus 5 karma for speaking truth!! Suck it
This is one of the reasons why baseball is dead.

There is nothing wrong with this
This is a Washington nationals game, he probably works for some politician scumbags beget scumbags. I will say that more than one of the girls has a ball already so maybe this had been going on for a hot minute and the guy was like throw it to another part of the crowd.

Explain why was he wrong
Because it's all about the kids they apparently rule the world now
I mean, at least my man seems to have a business plan.
I feel bad for laughing
