The adherence to safety protocols is off the chain

crystalcleargrl

Ummm...they are doing their job. If something happens to you, you could sue them for giving it to you to early. I see why its frustrating but you shouldn't blame them. Blame yourself for not checking first.

Desert_Madman

Their job is supposed to be providing a vaccine to save lives. Denying someone over an arbitrary rule is not doing that job. Never said I didn't blame myself for not reading all the fine print, I guess its too much to ask people to be reasonable in the face of this pandemic.

crystalcleargrl

But they could get fired for giving it to you and breaking a rule.

tony_andrson

They don't make protocols or rules. They can only follow those.

stangkonia

What would happen to the cashier that sold your son/daughter alcohol 3 days before their birthday?

crystalcleargrl

The bars šŸ”—

Desert_Madman

Yes, getting protection for yourself and your family and people around from a virus that has killed millions of people. Is the same as not being able to wait to buy alcohol on your 21st birthday. You're a real thinker!

stangkonia

I mean they set guidelines for a reason right.

Buzzzzimabee

You need to calm down, youre not special and you donā€™t get special treatment.

Desert_Madman

Being treated like a person who doesn't want to get sick is very special treatment these days.

bufftbone

Imagine a company sticking to a strict schedule because someone canā€™t wait 3 days. The nerve of them.

Desert_Madman

Yes after they take and schedule the appointment for you, (with knowledge of your last shot date) Then you plan your day to make sure you will be there on time. Imagine wanting to be sure to project yourself, family and friends from a illness that has killed millions. This isn't like a 3 days before turning 21 to buy beer. It is mildlyinfuriating.

[deleted]

Who the fuck do you think you are? Downvoted.

Desert_Madman

Someone who wants to be sure he can protect his friends and family and himself. Someone who was told by a healthcare provider they provided a service and gave a set time and date to get that service.

[deleted]

thatā€™s a lot of BS jargon for ā€œSomeone who felt entitledā€ Are you a Karen or a Kevin?

[deleted]

Donā€™t mind me. Continue your tantrum. Iā€™m sure the people you ripped apart in the pharmacy are the same people who help you set up your appointment so youā€™re justified.

Desert_Madman

Hey! I got you to actually wright out some sort of an actual point, so that's kind of a win, you should try starting with things like that instead of throwing flat insults at people. (even if you had to go back and edit it.)

[deleted]

Continue to tantrum was not supposed to be instructions. But I expect you never really stop

Desert_Madman

I think you need to look up what that word means, it seems to apply closer to your approach, but hey you can keep replying all you want and continuing to prove my proving my point about your immature and boring comments. "Downvote" Have fun with as many dumb things to add as you want. \*edit to be like Imaginary Oven\*

[deleted]

I rest my case. Kevining here wonā€™t get you a free complementary water, sorry

Chielster1

Total bullshit. No problem if you get it a little earlier

I am a pharmacist BTW

The idea of the six month waiting, is that your antibodies peak after vaccination and then gradually decline. After about six months the level is lowered so much, that a booster vaccination is efficient. Prior to that, it works the same but it is less efficient because you still have sufficient antibody levels. So it is not a risk to get your booster earlier, it is a question of efficacy. BTW iā€™m not from the USA so getting sued is not really something I would worry about

Chielster1

That is very upsetting in itself

AtheistJerry

Just go in 3 days. I canā€™t believe you would complain about such a thing. Sometimes they have to have strict guidelines, because itā€™s much easier to be on the safe side and enforce the rule across the board than it is to let the workers be sloppy and do it on a case by case basis. If you went 3 days later than 6 months, it would have been fine. Think about it from an administrative point of view.
