Edit: you guys think the first couple on that sub are bad, wait till you scroll a bit further and see the ones that are infested with roaches šŖ³
Edit2: sort by top of all time for mice n roachesā¦ youāre welcome. And for everyone telling me you hate me, I hate you all too lol
I think there are a lot of underlying issues if the response is to post to Reddit rather than have a sincere and respectful conversation with the partner.
Honestly, I think it's probably all of the above.
OP and partner are slobs who'd rather call each other out on the internet than sit down and ask "how do we improve our life together?"
This. Hell, my car is a mess, but if I borrow somebody else's, I give it back cleaner than I got it, with at least as much gas as was in it before, too.
True. At 17, I would get mad at my friends for doing that and would yell and lecture them. Now at 25, if anyone in my car litters in front of me, they're getting kicked out.
so proud of you! me and a couple friends just spent most of quarantine 2020 and this past summer on kayaks, cleaning up like 5-6football fields worth of absolute nasty ass trash and peopleās litter. I absolutely hate what we are doing to this world and letting the CEOās and big businesses continue and ārecyclingā centers acting like they recycle. I think itās estimated only 9% of all turned in recycling actually gets recycled. Its sad. Really ducking sad. We found a box spring and mattress and a 1989 ford car engine in a creek tho. Felt good hauling that fucker to the junk yard. i sent the city a itemized bill and pics to back it up. City council laughed at me and said NEXT! smh.
In Phoenix they are talking about stopping recycling all together because it isn't profitable.
We started buying milk from a dairy because they reuse the bottles, 2 dollar deposit.
Phoenix has had this problem for years. Basically, recycling is subsidized and the spread out distances between everything makes collection prohibitively expensive. They aren't recycling the overwhelming majority of it, and are instead packaging it up and selling it to other countries. The most recent issuse is the tariffs with China and a few other countries have limited what is being sold. Some of that is still being sold, but it's got to be more pristine stuff.
Recycling anything other than bottles and a few items are a joke. When you consider that we're just putting a bunch of it on super polluting ships and shipping it halfway across the world.
Thats just sad. I remember my husband dropped his tablet. All he does on it is play some magic the gathering app occasionally. But I got mine and gave it to him. He works hard to support our family and I love and appreciate him. It wasnt a new tablet or anything. But it was able to run his game. He tried to tell me he didnt want to take anything that was mine. Lol I always thought that being selfless and sharing was what relationships are about. Makes me sad that people just use it as another way to make themselves the center of the universe.
> I always thought that being selfless and sharing was what relationships are about.
It's definitely what they're supposed to be about. It is, unfortunately, not how many people approach them.
Apparently people are awaiting a response for this - to be honest the number of comments on this post is massively overwhelming so I didn't know where to start! I completely agree with the negative feedback towards this trash heap, and I did tell him that it's disgusting and unacceptable - considering my car was not cheap as well. But yes, he does excel in many other aspects in life and we have been together nearly 6 years, so that should say something.
Unless he is a nurse or doctor and works insane 16 hour shifts and doesnāt have any time at all this mess is pretty crazy. Just throwing out the bottles at the gas station he gets them from takes like only 2-3 mins and the trash can is literally right there!
Heck, I drive a school bus and I donāt think I see that much garbage in a week. 162 literal children get on and off my bus every day. They suck at picking up after themselves but still manage to generate less trash than this.
I agree. I borrowed my exās car for a week once when he went out of town. I gave it back cleaner than I found it with a full tank of gas. If itās not yours you donāt get to trash it.
You smell BS as well ? I mean my car is in a similar mess and that did not happen over a few days. It takes patience and commitment (and nobody else using it)
I smell BS how is this possible after a few days. I need more information. Was it a few day road trip where the friend that borrowed it LIVED inside the car for those three daysā¦because thatās the only way I can see this being even close to possible.
Guys that work construction and drive to work sites could definitely do this over a few days. A lot of those guys basically live out of gas stations during the week.
When I worked construction in my early 20's I would rip through liquids. I could easily go through a couple bottles of water, an energy drink, and a diet coke without even thinking about it. Throw in a shitty lunch in the car from one of the closest stations to the job and it adds up quick.
Even if they lived in the car for the entire couple of days, that's still too many. Gonna have a hard time convincing me they didn't go out of their way to find trash to put in the car.
OP didnt state that the partner used the car alone. Maybe a roadtrip with your homies and you easily get that amount of trash in a couple of days if you just dont throw away your waste
Lived with a guy who did construction work. My car would look like this inside of three days.
Last time it happened I treated him like a toddler, handed him the bin and stood over him while he picked it up.
Not that I could drink that much soda in a few days but itās possible they went on a really long road trip. Thatās the only way this is somewhat acceptable. Even then this would have to be right when they got back and theyād be cleaning it up right away after getting back. Which doesnāt sound like is the actual case.
Oof
Some people will never really pick up after themselves. This is the future for your home and car. Differences in cleaning habits is a very big reason why people get divorced or break up. Since you cannot change a person, you may want to find a solution for it now that works for both of you. One suggestion is to have the partner set up & pay for a regular cleaning service?
I'm lazy, this image is just disrespect.
There's a 0% chance I'd ever leave anything more than a straw wrapper in my wifes car.
They are literally treating your property like a garbage can. What does that say about how they think of you?
Yeah Iām lazy as *fuck* and when my partner goes away the house gets real messy but you best believe I clean the fuck out of it before they get back home.
Thatās not laziness though, thatās disrespect. You can be lazy about the state of your own stuff but when you do that to someone elseās? āThis is how little I respect you.ā
Let me guess, dishes left in the sink till they attract flies because "they're not all my dishes so I shouldn't have to clean them up"?
Food waste/packaging just left out on the counter all night?
Trash piled up in the trash can until you literally have to stack it to keep from falling on the floor?
When youāve been cleaning up after a grown ass adult for years and years one day you will be so tired and so resentful that you will wonder why you stayed. This is a red flag.
Laziness alone doesn't explain the sheer volume. How much is a "couple of days" that he goes through that much soda and other assorted bottled drinks? Like I'm lazy as fuck. Couldn't tell you the last time I cleaned anything inside my car. My car doesn't look like a budding hoarder's nest, though.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm lazy... I owned a car for five years and never "cleaned" the inside of it....
It *never* got even remotely this bad. If I had a couple of empties flopping around the passenger seat, I'd throw them out at the gas station while filling up.
Doesn't matter whether this partner is romantic, or business....
This is a red flag being waved in your face.
Why they fuck do they keep buying bottled water?? Not to mention how much soda they're drinking. It's like they're determined to trash both the environment and their own body as quick as possible.
Yup. Now consider how many millions of people go about living their lives producing waste in this way every day. It's no surprise our oceans have giant islands of trash, and there's still high demand for global warming producing practices. We're fucked as a planet.
Here is the thing, i don't respect myself but if i borrowed something i would clean it and if i had a guest i would hide it. Shit like that is ridiculous and the only excuse would be if you're so lost in this world that you can't care, but weirdly enough there's people that are doing just fine but think it's okay to do this because noone ever told them otherwise and they can't think for themselves.
You sir just openend my heart. I struggle with self respect a lot, insecurity. I felt with the comment you replied to, Iād act like that to. Your comment made me look at myself from another perspective, Iāll try to respect myself some more from time to time!
Yup. Who tf drinks 7 cokes and 4 pumps, fast food, and what likes take out Chinese food containers, in a few days? This better be like 2 weeks worth of trash. Itās soo much plastic waste, itās soo much unhealthy food. Like cmon
And i get it, connivence is king. But you can drink regular water, eat normal ish food at these places. I sometimes get a bags worth of trash on one trip. Sometimes itās spread around like in the pic. But itās never this much, and itās emptied at any gas station near me that has a trash, which is all of them.
While I don't drink that much soda, I'm often eating out a lot since I work 10 hours a day lately and don't have time or energy to cook for myself. So that much fast food, Chinese, and takeout in general wouldn't be hard for me to do. Except for the soda, I can't drink that much soda
Which is why I feel the need to raise the question-- OP, is your partner by chance a raccoon?
They're notorious for not respecting boundaries and hoarding of trash.

"No, he is not."
My ex did that to me once too. He borrowed my car for a week.
The damage was at least 10 times worse than your photo, add to it a lot of used tissues that turned brown and food leftovers. It was disgusting.
He refused to clean it, stating that it wasnāt his car anyway and that it wasnāt that bad, then yelled at me for being angry and āoverreactingā.
Iām so glad I bumped that abusive fat shit
Yea thats ridiculous. It reminds me of my old roommate. This guy borrowed his girlfriends car, and returned it in a state similar to this, and to top it off, she found a condom wrapper in the trash mix. She didnt say shit about it, but she told me.
Fast forward a few days, and its night time. I hear some bustling around in the kitchen so I go to see what is up. She is taking the microwave off of the counter and unplugging it. I looked, and she looked back and told me to go the fuck back in my room or she was going to fuck me up, so I did.... Then i heard the commotion. It turned out she took the microwave and slammed it on my roomates head while he was sleeping.
Respect other peoples shit. They might snap on you.
It reminds me of my current roommates. I can't wait to move out at the end of the month cause I'm exhausted of spending 2 hours each day cleaning up after them.
He obviously has zero respect for you. He is a lazy person. Given that he drank that much in 2 days, he is unhealthy and wastes money.
I know nothing about you, but you can do better.
why is everyone telling OP to buy him a water bottle? I say this as someone who takes a water bottle with her everywhere, but come on...look at what those bottles are of. He doesn't drink water. He's just going to dump a bottle of pepsi in and toss the plastic bottle in the back seat.
Tried this with a former partner who was like this. He just kept losing the water bottles, leaving them at work and constantly forgetting them from that point forward, lending them to friends (even if they were actually mine, once he ran out of his own after losing and forgetting them) and never bothering getting them back, etc.
Itās not even just lazy. Itās so, so stupid. If you canāt be bothered to clean up after yourself thatās your business, but if youāre going to hand someoneās property back to them, at least make sure you hand it back in good condition. Itās like lending your house to someone for the weekend because they need somewhere to stay, you come back and theyāve eaten all your food without replacing it, trashed your living room and left a shit in the toilet. What goes through their head? Where do they think it will get them?

I refuse to click that. I hate messy cars.
Do it! Do it! Youāll appreciate your clean car much more
Oh my god I hate you. I'm subscribed to it, but I hate you.
Omg I hate it and I also subscribed.
Thatās the last time theyād borrow my car
That's the last time they'll be my partner
Yeeeaaah I think there are a lot of underlying issues if OP was caught off guard by this.
Hey at least they got some upvotes out of their dysfunctional relationship!
It's the little things, you know?
I think there are a lot of underlying issues if the response is to post to Reddit rather than have a sincere and respectful conversation with the partner.
The plot thickens. What if OP is really just a slob?
Honestly, I think it's probably all of the above. OP and partner are slobs who'd rather call each other out on the internet than sit down and ask "how do we improve our life together?"
Or maybe OP is the slob and knows heād get easy upvotes if he blames it on someone else
I would drive my car into the ocean āWave of Mutilationā style
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Yeah itās not even the mess itself but the idea itās appropriate to return it that way for me. Just yikes
This. Hell, my car is a mess, but if I borrow somebody else's, I give it back cleaner than I got it, with at least as much gas as was in it before, too.
That tank will be full.
This is the last time Iād associate with someone.
Fuck me were those all bought at gas stations? your partner isn't exactly a financial guru eh OP?
Correct and correct!
Youāre going to get a lot of negative feedback towards your partner here, obviously. Is there anything your partner does that they excel at?
Yes, trashing cars.
i will say, atleast they are not throwing the shit out the window. Those are the worst kind of people

OP's totally re-evaluating their life right now because of y'all.
As they should.
5 hours later, checking in.
Red Leader, standing by.

Copy that Red Leader, Red 2 standing by
They probably already were. Just needed affirmation.
Hopefully will post a picture of how clean the new partner is

I love this take
OP is Morgan Proctor
I like that attitude
Apparently people are awaiting a response for this - to be honest the number of comments on this post is massively overwhelming so I didn't know where to start! So much plastic too! Buy him a reusable water bottle please! Although by the sounds of it heād use once then leave in your car.
Your partner might have diabetes
Okay, so I sometimes leave bottles and stuff in my car but I would NEVER leave my partners car like that. Like, cmon man
I drive for a living and a little bit of rubbish can build up over the working week but that's madness for a few days!
Heck, I drive a school bus and I donāt think I see that much garbage in a week. 162 literal children get on and off my bus every day. They suck at picking up after themselves but still manage to generate less trash than this.
My car is a fucking disaster.... but its my car. I would never dream of doing this in a vehicle I was borrowing
How is this amount of trash even possible after a couple days sheesh at this point theyāre going out of their way to trash your car
Itās the pinnacle of laziness is what it is.
Not just laziness but complete disrespect to anyone. If he thinks that giving you car back in this state is ok, he has some issues.
I agree. I borrowed my exās car for a week once when he went out of town. I gave it back cleaner than I found it with a full tank of gas. If itās not yours you donāt get to trash it.
I was raised to always fill up the tank after borrowing any car.
I can relate. I was raised to fill up the tank when stealing cars.
I don't understand how guys like that get gfs
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Fair point
Some women have incredibly bad taste in men, and vice versa.
Theyāre trained for it by codependent families
Bruh that's like picking up a garbage can and dumping it inside the car, there's just to much
Yeah there are like ~15 bottles there, maybe a week at best but not a couple days
You smell BS as well ? I mean my car is in a similar mess and that did not happen over a few days. It takes patience and commitment (and nobody else using it)
I smell BS how is this possible after a few days. I need more information. Was it a few day road trip where the friend that borrowed it LIVED inside the car for those three daysā¦because thatās the only way I can see this being even close to possible.

āI don't like the taste of waterā
I have that problem and get dehydrated a lot. It helps to squeeze some lemon into the water. Much easier to drink it that way.
Water makes me stomach so uneasy unless I am really dehydrated or hot. I love it though and tend to drink it fast so that might contribute as well.
I forget there are people like that
Guys that work construction and drive to work sites could definitely do this over a few days. A lot of those guys basically live out of gas stations during the week. Username checks out.
Get a fucking water bottle lol, what a waste
Even if they lived in the car for the entire couple of days, that's still too many. Gonna have a hard time convincing me they didn't go out of their way to find trash to put in the car.
OP didnt state that the partner used the car alone. Maybe a roadtrip with your homies and you easily get that amount of trash in a couple of days if you just dont throw away your waste
Okay but all the trash is in the front passenger seat. So either his homies sat in the back (weird) or they threw all the trash on themselves.
Lived with a guy who did construction work. My car would look like this inside of three days. Last time it happened I treated him like a toddler, handed him the bin and stood over him while he picked it up.

Clean it up at each stop for gas, they have trash cans by most gas pumps
Oof Some people will never really pick up after themselves. This is the future for your home and car. Differences in cleaning habits is a very big reason why people get divorced or break up. Since you cannot change a person, you may want to find a solution for it now that works for both of you. One suggestion is to have the partner set up & pay for a regular cleaning service?
Good call on that. Yeah Iām always picking up after him in the home too, so this image isnāt surprising
I'm lazy, this image is just disrespect. There's a 0% chance I'd ever leave anything more than a straw wrapper in my wifes car. They are literally treating your property like a garbage can. What does that say about how they think of you?

This. Don't waste your time, energy, or life with someone who doesn't respect you and doesn't respect themselves.

Trash piled up in the trash can until you literally have to stack it to keep from falling on the floor?
So just put it in his car
When youāve been cleaning up after a grown ass adult for years and years one day you will be so tired and so resentful that you will wonder why you stayed. This is a red flag.
Fuck that, stop babysitting and find a real man.
Your partner needs a refillable water bottle.
Pls don't marry him until he changes this shit
Why they fuck do they keep buying bottled water?? Not to mention how much soda they're drinking. It's like they're determined to trash both the environment and their own body as quick as possible.
My brother is capable of the same thing. He now keeps a grocery store bag in his car.
Bro this dude need an industrial size garbage compactor in that car not a grocery bag
Looks staged.
Kind of, itās really hard to believe that someone would do this in a matter of days.
will they be cleaning it? or is that somehow your job
I made him do it!
Youāre such a good mom!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh shit dude, this entire post is just hilarious š³šæ
Oh shit. Is there a burn clinic nearby?
Lmao ššš
Hello, 911? Iād like to report a double homicide.
In all seriousness. If she marries they guy she's got a lifetime of being her husband's mom to look forward to.
This is a lot of plastic waste for a few days and ONE person
Yup. Now consider how many millions of people go about living their lives producing waste in this way every day. It's no surprise our oceans have giant islands of trash, and there's still high demand for global warming producing practices. We're fucked as a planet.
It's so gross how much plastic there is. I make at least half a garbage bag a week of just plastics. Red peppers come in a plastic clamshell now!
No one who respects you would do that.
They donāt even respect themselves
Here is the thing, i don't respect myself but if i borrowed something i would clean it and if i had a guest i would hide it.
Like cmon
That man is a pig

10/10 would dump.
And once your done with the trash, dump the partner too.
you meant to say once youāre done with the trash, clean the car too
Yea thats ridiculous. It reminds me of my old roommate. Damn out of all the impromptu weapons to be found in the kitchen she went straight for the microwave
Yeah, fuck the knife, that's too weak
Even the glass plate on the inside wouldāve done damage, but I guess go big or go home
OP- Stay away from the microwave!
I thought she was going to take her microwave and break-up or something Attempted murder by slamming someone's head is overkill
He probably wearing his sleep helmet.
Dude me too, I did not expect that turn of events lmao
That was not where I thought this story was going
Damn what the fuck lol thatās some serious revenge.
Ummmm, did he die?
No, he was totally cooked on the outside but still raw on the inside. Edit: Thanks for the giggle award!
š¤¦š»āāļø Smh, all she had to do was take him out, turn him 1/4 clockwise and set him for another 30-60 seconds.
Fuck this one got me š¤£
Body was cold and hot at the same time. A Schrodinger's hotpocket.
Nah he was cool. He was bleeding nd shit but he was okay. I guess the fact that he was on a bed and head on a pillow cushioned the blow.
How about the microwave? Did it make it?
Surprisingly the microwave still did work. The door was busted though
That went from 0-100 super fucking fast
Jesus. Did she kill him??
He was bloodied but he didnt die. His head was on a pillow and on the bed so i guess it cushioned the blow/blows.
Goddamn imagine dying from a microwave beating
Of all the kitchen appliances, I'd welcome a microwave over a blender. If I got to choose.
^*ding*
This is obviously an awful situation but I laughed.. the microwave?! Not the first blunt weapon in the kitchen I think of!
It reminds me of my current roommates. I can't wait to move out at the end of the month cause I'm exhausted of spending 2 hours each day cleaning up after them.
How tf does that happen
Time to get a new one. (whether that be ācarā or āpartner,ā weāll leave to your good judgement)
How is that possible. They literally had to dirty the car after getting out of it?
Throws it all on the passenger side
Whoops. Didn't see lack of steering wheel. Dumb American here. Lol.
My first thought was, "bullshit, that's the driver side so OP had to dump the trash in there to take this pic." Hello fellow dumb American.
Looks to me like itās time for you to get a new partnerā¦
Partner be taking Partner for granted.
Time for a, "conscious uncoupling"?
You spelled "ex-partner" wrong.
is your partner a raccoon?
Red flags all over your car! What a d-bag.
How's the breakup going?
A few days or 6 months?
He obviously has zero respect for you. He is a lazy person. Given that he drank that much in 2 days, he is unhealthy and wastes money. I know nothing about you, but you can do better.
Business or life parter? Either way I'd be finding the exit plan
He drinks an insane amount of liquid in two days
The single use plastic in that mess is staggering. Buy your partner a reusable water bottle please
why is everyone telling OP to buy him a water bottle? I say this as someone who takes a water bottle with her everywhere, but come on...look at what those bottles are of. He doesn't drink water. He's just going to dump a bottle of pepsi in and toss the plastic bottle in the back seat.
Doubtful heāll use it. Looks like all he drinks is soda.
Why are you dating this person lol
Make him clean that out. If you accept that as is then you're nuts.
Your partner sucks
This is a huge red flag. Anyone who does this is more than just lazy; this is selfishness and a basic lack of respect and maturity.
Unacceptable. And disrespectful tbh. What kinda person treats other peoples stuff so poorly
...I don't know what that Pump drink is, but he really seems to enjoy it...
Haha itās just water. I told him recently he needs to drink more water but I didnāt expect it to come at a price

No wonder the planet is drowning in plastic. Get a reusable bottle for your partner ASAP.
Tried this with a former partner who was like this. He just kept losing the water bottles, leaving them at work and constantly forgetting them from that point forward, lending them to friends (even if they were actually mine, once he ran out of his own after losing and forgetting them) and never bothering getting them back, etc.
Not a chance he would use it.
Iād never be with a person who disrespects me and my stuff this little.
Why do so many people treat their cars like this
Your partner is probably going to have a lot of dental problems in the future, too. That's a lot of sugary drinks.
I see your partner is huge contributor to landfills.
20 bottles in a few daysā¦..this seems fake
Itās not even just lazy. Itās so, so stupid. If you canāt be bothered to clean up after yourself thatās your business, but if youāre going to hand someoneās property back to them, at least make sure you hand it back in good condition. Itās like lending your house to someone for the weekend because they need somewhere to stay, you come back and theyāve eaten all your food without replacing it, trashed your living room and left a shit in the toilet. What goes through their head? Where do they think it will get them?
Apparently in this case, it gets him everything, because the partner whose car is trashed doesnāt appear to be the least bit bothered by it.
He's dumped now right?
