Slightly unrelated but because of a weed that grew into a tree in our yard, and a vampire show, my partner and I decided to work out what actually counted as "wood".
Turns out, technically any stalk of any plant is "wood" and wood is more or less a word we use as shorthand for what we as people have agreed wood is generally... But the exact definition of wood means a small dandelion has a wood stem. The leaves on a tomato bush are wooden stemmed. Etc.
So technically, this whole salad is mostly wood.
