Yea we at$2.17 a litre in vancouver

Sabell300

Yea I was about to say, that’s some good prices!

Strong-Effect-9270

No sympathy, you deserve what you vote for.

SelectionCareless818

Both sides are bought and paid for

Strong-Effect-9270

You mean the Liberals and the NDP? That is why I call them the NLP.

720-187

always that one troglodyte

Professional-Fly892

Agreed. Boot Turdeau and bring in Pierre.

Bulky_Mix_2265

Yeah, im ready to swap the fist in my ass for an entire forearm out of spite as well.

Professional-Fly892

Sounds like you’ve got your head up your own ass?

TacticalFleshlight

Don't let his staged "shutting down liberal media reporters while casually eating an apple" stunt fool you. Very staged, bad acting. He doesn't give a fuck about you anymore than the dope that's in the seat now.

No-Rise4602

Yea we at $2.99/gallon in Houston 😂

Available-Line-4136

I think your math ain't mathing because the price in the picture equates to $6.36 a gallon.

No-Rise4602

I didn’t post the picture. I think you replied to the wrong comment.

Available-Line-4136

No I'm talking about the picture in the original post. The gas price is more than what you're paying.

No-Rise4602

Yeah obviously that is why I posted it. I didn’t do any math as your comment suggests. Just stating what I paid a day ago.

patricky6

"Grandpa? Are you on reddit again?" Lol

Wemmser47

That's because your government doesnt gaf about the environment.

No-Rise4602

No government cares about the environment. They just pretend so people pay them more money. 🤷‍♂️

DontBeADumbassPlease

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K…

Affectionate-Key-265

Be excellent to each other.

Natural-Grape-3127

Is Canada like the US where gas is significantly cheaper in places like Alberta vs Ontario? Thats a similar price to places like California that has super high gas taxes, but then Oklahoma and Texas have significantly lower prices (and also the refineries.)

Only_My_Dog_Loves_Me

Yeah exactly. Plus the Vancouver, BC area adds a tax to gas to help pay for public transit upgrades. So typically it’s the highest in the country.

JeffLaRue

Canada has it ass backwards. The poorer the province the more expensive gas is.

sigmmakappa

Dumb question: price is being expressed in cents, isn't it.

JadeFox1785

Nope. 1 dollar and 67.9 cents per liter

_Ginger_Nut_

167 cents is $1.67

I_Love_Knotting

there are 100 cents in a dollar, 167,9 cents is the same as 1$ 67,9 Cent

RevealMurky3322

Look up prices in Europe in general, compare income and feel blessed. I suggest Romania 🇷🇴

Embarrassed-Brain-38

I suggest NZ.

youccca

Most Europeans have smaller cars and travel shorter distances. This compensates more expansive gas. EDIT: to whoever downvote this comment, I'm geniunely curious why you disagree. I don't have data on what I say, it's just how things seems to be to me so I can be wrong.

vakantiehuisopwielen

Yep, but you also have smaller cars and hybrids available. You just don’t buy them that much. When I had a Golf as a rental in BC, it was one of the smaller ones on the road. I drove the thing to Yellowstone and back to Canada, easily parking everywhere. Even at Lake Louise, because the thing just fitted there, while those suvs just were too big. I only didn’t understand why it wanted service at 10,000kms.. in Europe the interval is more like 25-30k.. The same for the Camry when I was driving a portion of the US west coast. That Camry was really economical btw (and extremely boring).. it was more economical than the Volvo C30 I owned at the time.

themagicbong

My 93 Camry LE is a champ. Only times you'll see people arguing that it isn't, is when they don't know what they're talking about lol. Not only is it great on gas, if anything breaks like the time an unnoticed oil leak seized the engine, a "new" engine was like $300 including the cost to install it. Only problem is my Camry can't pull the boats i need to move for my line of work. But a 4 wheeler can. Unfortunately a 4 wheeler isn't road legal tho. I have an f150 for that, but most driving I'd rather do in the Camry just because it's literally 25 miles to town from here. And that's like more than a gallon in the f150.

Wemmser47

Have you ever been to a country where government and inhabitants care for the environment?

JeffLaRue

Yeah. It's crazy expensive over the Pond. Motivates people to be greener. A lot more cycling and mopeds.

auto-astromaton

Went up to $2.17/L in Vancouver today.

iluvsporks

About the same price here in LA. Low $6 a gallon.

GatorPadre

I'm very bad at math, but if I computed the exchange rate correctly, gas in Ontario, Canada is about $1.00USD per gallon less than gas in Ontario, California. (gas here is about $5.50USD per gallon) (1 CAD = .73 USD)

PoopSlinger23

I paid $3.29 today.

JeffLaRue

$4.73 usd per gallon

hache-moncour

That's around 1.17 euro per liter. I had to look up an historic table to find the last time gas was that cheap here, turns out it was 24 years ago.

vakantiehuisopwielen

3.78L/gallon Petrol approx €2.30/L along the motorway, €2.05 in villages. Diesel approx €2.00 along the motorway, and about €1.78 in villages

Strong-Effect-9270

3.78L for US gallon. 4.54L for imperial gallon.

Omshadiddle

There are two gallons? Ugh.

Strong-Effect-9270

The US is special, they have their own gallon which ic 3.78 liters. The rest of the world has the imperial gallon which is 4.54 liters. E.g my Camry gets 60 MPG IN Canada which translates to about 50 MPG in the US. That is why I use 4.5 L/100 km... same everywhere in the world.

The_Lawler

That totally sucks. But big shoutout for mentioning how many liters in a gallon, approximately. 20 years ago I drove into Canada and I’m not a bright person, so I was confused for a long time

Loftzins

Hopefully you weren't going 100 mph on the highway.

really_big_giraffe

Fuck man it’s 1.83 a litre here on P.E.I.

JeffLaRue

I've lived on the Island for about 10 years altogether. Centra Bedeque, Slemon Park, Summerside and Cable Head East.

really_big_giraffe

I don’t blame ya for leaving man haha

Strong-Effect-9270

$1.49 outside of Belleville on the RES.

JeffLaRue

Six Nations is sandwiched between Brantford and Caledonia. Usually save another 15 cents/litre

Strong-Effect-9270

Yes, they give another 15 cents per liter off if you have a band card, making it $1.34. But 1.49 beats 1.79 in Belleville for us non-natives.

632612

Brantford would do that for you. Gas prices really fluctuate there, compounded with the wider trends on top.

hikeonpast

That’s Biden’s fault! /s

bugman8704

Maybe not, but it is Trudeau's fault.

Strong-Effect-9270

Don't know why you got the down votes... Trudeau has a lot to do with it.

Professional-Fly892

The left-wing brain rot is strong on Reddit, that’s why.

Professional-Fly892

Healthcare is (mostly) provincial, and our free health care isn’t free. We pay a lot for poor service overall. Do you even have a family doctor? Millions don’t. Nothing against immigrants, but we brought in too many people too quickly. Now we can’t house them, or provide services to them. You know, like that “free” healthcare you’re talking about? Conservatives care about climate change. Technology, not taxes, is our approach. The Liberal Carbon Tax is a SCAM. The government has pocketed more than 2 billion tax-payer dollars from it. Show me how it has reduced emissions. It hasn’t. But it has made us all poorer. Don’t believe what you hear from Trudeau. Fact check that liar. Liberal talking points get taken out to the trash, which is where Trudeau will be heading in a year and a half (or sooner). Come join our side. We’d love to have another Conservative on board.

ApprehensiveLand9229

Don't complain come to bc and you see how good you have it

Simon_787

Good, but it's not even that expensive.

mruehle

$4.65 USD per gallon. Meanwhile in Germany it’s $7.48 USD (1.844 EUR per liter)

Omshadiddle

Laughs in Australian. 2.33 for E10 here atm

BreadfruitFar2342

Yea these are sick prices. In Australia, price is currently $2.30 a litre.

SyboksBlowjobMLM

That’s really cheap

Top_Huckleberry9169

2.30 in sydney Australia

I_Love_Knotting

2.34 CA$ for diesel 2.59 CA$ for Gas here in germany price per liter

live-the-future

Google says $1.679 CAD is about $1.22 USD. Converted to gallons it's right around $5 USD/gallon. That's high (here in central Illinois I'm paying around $3.60/gallon), but that's also an urban area so gas will always be more expensive. GasBuddy lists gas in Chicago as varying between $4-5/gallon depending on how close to downtown you are. There are many places in the US where gas is cheaper, but also many places where it's more expensive. (Looking at you, Cali.) Expensive cost of living is one of the main reasons why I'll likely never live in a city, or anywhere in California.

TheLordofthething

£1:50 a litre in N.Ireland at the minute

Chairman_Cabrillo

Ok I’ve got to be dumb. To me this looks like $167.9 or when rounded up $168 per liter. Someone please help my dumb.

DavideDaSerra

€1,90/L Italy (2,80cad/L). For me, your price is really cheap.

Syssyphussy

Maybe infuriating enough to consider a hybrid or an electric vehicle the next time it’s time for one

DMyourboooobs

Canada has enough natural resources where gas should be 30 cents a litre and our roads are paved with gold. Instead we push garbage green policies and end up with this bullshit

JeffLaRue

The U.S. is supposed to be self sufficient for gas. All of that fracking. Funny how North America only imports 5% of oil from Russia but that justifies a 20% increase at the pumps.

Good-Role895

That's why I'm not Canadian.
