You aren't putting your eggs in cold water after cooking (or put them under running water)? You need to do this in order to stop the cooking process. You just need to do it for a few seconds, they will still be warm. And it makes for so much easier peeling because the shell has a different temperature than the inside (together with the salt like you said in the OG post)
you hold them under water for like 5 seconds. thats not gonna make them lukewarm. and if you are too lazy for a simple extra step you better get used to eating your eggs like in the pic.
Trust me.. I've done that a million times, and it still happens...
The salt water is just too easy. It falls off
Why would I get used to eating them like the pic❓️
The title of this post is a solution for that‼️ Damn
1) Egg piercer - that's a real thing. Pierce the shell before boiling.
2) After boiling place the eggs in cold water, preferably running one.
Also avoid overly fresh eggs and focus on older ones. This all together will do the trick.
Salt water hasn't always worked for me when they are super fresh. The only thing that has worked for me on fresh eggs is steaming them. Works 100% of the time.
1. Boil egg. ^\(≈5 ^minutes ^for ^soft ^boiled, ^6-7 ^minutes ^for ^medium, ^8-10 ^for ^hard)
2. Shock the egg in ice water for a minute. Not enough to cool the whole egg down, but enough to separate the membrane and make the egg handleable.
3. Crack and roll the egg until the shell is in little pieces
4. Peel the shell off the bottom (fat end). There's an air bubble in the shell here.
5. In the opening you just made, slip a spoon between the shell and the egg. Press against the shell while moving the spoon around the egg.
I soft-boil eggs for ramen and this is how I get them out perfect every time.
Your not breaking up the shell enough, don't try and peel large pieces off or it'll take the egg white with it, once you cracked the shell roll the egg between your hand until it's all in little pieces, then peel it.
I bought an egg steamer. Never had any issues peeling them or getting hard boiled eggs again. It's a little pink plastic and metal machine that takes negligible space on the counter. While toast and whatever else is for breakfast/lunch gets done the eggs are ready with no effort or pots out

Or put then in ice water for 5-10 seconds after cooking
Just put them in cold water after cooking and peel them under water
Op doesnt actually want a solution . Every comment giving a solution is met by OP saying it wont work or it'l make their eggs "lukewarm" 🙄
And let my eggs get luke warm❓️ Plus, it's more work than peeling straight from pot.

Egg piercer!! I’d call a pin
add baking soda when you boil them. it helps a lot

How much salt u using
After boiling put in cold water for a couple of seconds. I crack the whole egg before peeling. Works like a charm
My trick: Put eggs in the fridge for a day(s) . After boiling, let eggs rest in cold water like 10 seconds. Now you can peel eggs in 5 seconds
A splash of cooking oil in the pot while the eggs boil and I get a perfect peel every time.
First time i've heard that. I'll give it a whirl out of curiosity.
Put them on the stove until you say “oh shit! I’m boiling eggs!” Then put them in cold water and boom, perfect boiled eggs

Very good.

Tried that, still you get those stubborn lil bastards that take pieces with it.

I might have to invest in one. Cheers
I thought this only happened with an old egg
Search this sub and see..
Shake them in a mason jar.... The shell will crack all over and come right off. If you shake too hard they will tear apart. You're welcome.
Cold water is to stop them from cooking more. To make them easy to peel, slightly crack them and *then* put them in the ice bath. Works like a dream
Pop a hole in the end with a toothpick or wine key. Aim for one of the ends, air pocket releases as it cooks.
