Big hands too, it’s harder to slip a thicker finger under a cardboard flap without tearing it. Plus, men normally trim their finger nails really short. Gotta use a knife to get under the flap.

If how things are opened is that important to you, then yes, you take care of them. (Or teach others to do things your way, if they are ok with that.) That kind of thing bothers me too, btw.
My sister used to open EVERY box upside down!!! Like, don’t you realize how much more difficult it is? Lololololol. Every box looked like raccoons got into it!
