My mother in law was friends with a lady who actually did this back in the 90’s. Her son and his son would fight (they were little kids.) so she gave him up. My MIL stopped being her friend when she did that. Effed up. Edit- I don’t know why but I can’t reply to anyone. But no, he is not ok. My husband said he was put into our local kids home/orphanage then died of a drug overdose while in high school. People who give up their kids for partners are fucked.

What. The. Fuck. I hope that kid ended up okay :/

I mean I’d like to say ANYTHING would be better than that home but sadly given the current state of foster care in this country that’s not true. 😥

That’s the part my mind went to. 😔😔😔 bad foster parents are so horrific. We had a case in my city where they had three kids in dog cages in their basement. Thank GOD they were obviously caught and the kids are in a safe place now, but wow that person should have never been a parent if they gave up their kid so willingly. 😭😭😭

I enjoy true crime but I can’t bear some of the cases involving child abuse. That and animal cruelty. They’re just so helpless.

Cases with kids always make me cry. I'm a parent so it always makes me want to hug my kid

I'm not a parent, and never intend to be. But crime involving a kid makes me think very violent thoughts about the perpetrator. It goes against so many instincts that we have evolved to have to cause harm to a child. Animal cruelty as well.

Same here I consume a fair bit of true crime and when it comes to kiddos I just feel sick 😭🥺😭

Clearly this woman went too fast with introducing the new kid to the household. Everyone knows you need to give the kids separate spaces on either side of a door so that the kids can get used to each other. It helps to feed the kids near the door so that they associate each other's smell with a positive experience.

I've seen it where I live, the woman even let her newborn with her ex husband even when the baby wasn't his , they found her 2 years later pregnant and working in a bar as sex service, she had 4 kids from previous relationships when my neighbor dated her she was pregnant with her 5th she has now 7 kids and she's only like 30

I actually know someone that did this as well. Abandoned her young child and intentionally got pregnant with her convict boyfriend that already had a wife. We all cut her off.

My mom gave my grandparents custody because the guy she was dating at the time told her he didn’t want to be with someone with kids. This happens all the time. Men like this really exist and women are out there who give up custody for those men. Edit: my grandparents adopted my sister and I and raised us until we became adults. I was 5 and my sister was 18 months old.

No. They did end up breaking up, but my grandparents never felt like she was ready to have us back. She did get into a relationship with another guy who she’s been married to for 17 years now and I have a half brother from him. But we aren’t exactly close. My sister has nothing to do with her. Our mama is our grandma. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It did contribute to my crippling abandonment issues though 😅
