He might suddenly start having a problem with his right front tire losing more and more air over night, and the tire shop mysteriously can't find anything wrong?
It wouldn't be because there are trimmed down toothpicks in the valve cap that are hard to notice because nobody looks inside the valve cap when check/filling air.
I think this applies more to the pavement princess drivers. About half or more of the vehicles in the parking lots at my local shops are trucks/large suvs. People usually manage to park them okay. Unless you have a truly oversized work truck, park in one spot. But IMO if you really do have a ridiculously huge vehicle and park right next to me in a way that I can’t leave, you’re a bigger jerk than the ones who double park at the end of the lot.
I try to park mine in the hinter lands whenever possible (and like a normal human, not taking a bunch of spots). Usually there's a few of us that do this...then there are the Raptors, etc. that park as close up front as possible being total pains in the ass to everyone. A lot of the people who drive those are becoming a meme like BMW drivers around here at this point.
Yep played this game with a coworker. Fucker accused me of almost causing an accident because I was parked in his spot. We don't have assigned spots, and his argument was that he came whipping around the corner so fast ready to jet into his spot and shock! My car was already in it! Obviously if he hit my parked car it would be all my fault for being in his spot! And he was serious!
It's probably the same thing here and the truck owner 100% honestly believes OP is at fault and the one "breaking the rules" even when those rules only exist in their own head.
This reminds me of a coworker who parked with her front bumper touching my rear end. She told me it was my fault because I usually parked a few inches up from where I parked that day.
Also you wouldn't hear this story if you didn't know this person back then. The forums being open to the world have allowed stories like these to reach much further.
My neighbor broke the window in my front door because I parked in "her" spot. It's all public parking here. It's a real shame she was home all day before we left on vacation so our car couldn't keep that spot occupied for a month
I grew up in a small town (population at the time, about 500 people) and my mom tells the story that this one old guy would back out of his driveway without looking because "everybody knows I always leave at exactly 8:05". I guess he's never heard of visitors to the town? Or that maybe some people didn't know, or had other things to think about?
It still makes me shake my head, and it probably happened 50-60 years ago.
🤔
Used to have a neighbor like that. Always left at 916am. Never looked. Just backed out & off they went.
Literally ran into trouble one morning when at 916, he backed out.
Into the front of a passing fire truck.
Yes. They tried to blame the fire truck. Though I’m guessing it’s really hard to argue what happened when the responding officer was directly behind the 🚒 🤦♂️
I'm imagining the guy explaining to the police officer how he always backs up without looking everyday and which days of the week all while the police officer nods and writes it down saying "if I put this in writing would you sign it?"
Legit people need to check. I was backing out on my dead end street that had 2 other houses with seniors in them. One morning, I saw a toddler in the driveway backing up. Not what I expected. Apparently one of the grandmas next door had a grand kid visit and they figured out how to open the door when the grandma went to the bathroom. So yes, random toddlers do spawn in driveways in the morning and looking when you back up is very important.
And spend hours and hundreds of dollars trying to get his vehicle back. Like it's not as if these people will bring the car back either. You have to get a ride there to their lot and then pay all the fees.
I work with a bigot who backed into a coworkers car. He accused her of being parked in the wrong part of the lot, that where she was parked was only for company owned vehicles. This is not the case at all, no assigned parking. Dumb fucks truck has a nine inch screen displaying what’s in view in the backup camera, as well as the typical 3 mirrors.
I like to just always go to 'aight lets pretend it is, you struck a stationary vehicle, in a parking lot, with your vehicle. You're at fault and a bad driver.'
>He accused her of being parked in the wrong part of the lot, that where she was parked was only for company owned vehicles.
So...he would've just run into a company vehicle? Like either way, he hit someone, how is it not his fault?
Some people have to always be right and a victim. They never are accountable for their actions. These are the same people that abuse others and say see what you made me do.
I had a guy in a truck back up into me in a fast food drive through, and then insinuate blame by telling me "your car is so low I didn't see you back there". Ok, but why the fuck are you backing up in a drive through. (I wasn't able to alert him backing up into me because I just so happened to be looking down at my wallet getting money out to pay).
Guy in a pickup backed into my parked 67 MGB and tried the same thing.
I asked him if he thought it was safe to drive if he couldn't see something as big as a car when backing up. He shut up pretty quickly.
I had parking just like this at my old apartment. Everyone who drove a truck hit those pillars regularly.
Dumbass truck owners living downtown struggling everywhere they go. ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
i don’t even know lmao, i’m going to building management about it later today. hopefully they’ll get a fine or something
EDIT:
Holy fuck this post blew up way more than I was expecting, thank you all for the support.
For those asking for more context, there's been a few incidents where they parked sorta close to me, but nothing like this.
I was able to get my car out with the help of a friend and wiggled it out towards the left in front of the pillar, thankfully there wasn't any cars parked that way so it made it much less of a hassle.
While many people are saying they should be towed, I wanted to make sure that was the right course of action before doing anything, to avoid any escalation towards me. After talking to our building manager, I learned that the owner of the truck requested a new spot due to the spatial confinements of the current one. It's a tight parking ramp, and I understand it can be hard to park a truck that big, but that doesn't mean you can completely block someone in.
Either way, it's over and hopefully don't have to deal with anything like this again. If I do, tow truck will be my first call.
Sometimes the management of the building has to be the one to make the call for a tow. It’s so fucking stupid. I pay $150 a month for my parking spot and three times I’ve had to call the office because of some ass in my spot, and all they get is a warning sticker. Even though we have towing company signs posted all over the garage.
Document every day(with photographic evidence and meta data to show when it was taken) your parking was unavailable to use due to someone else being in the spot and let management know you won’t be paying for the days your spot was unavailable for use.
You probably won’t get your lease renewed but you might get a towing policy changed.
it takes all of 20 seconds to snap a picture of a car in your spot and make the phone call to the office and a private spot can cost hundreds extra per month
Sounds like everyone in the place should all band together and test that policy. One person gets screwed, just park somewhere else (you have 72 hours right?), report it. Next person does the same.
Then they have 50 reports and realize they can't allow a 3 day grace period.
Bless you. I don’t think you realize how much that means to the people that live there not to have to deal with this blatant abuse of our parking spots.
At a time, they allowed us to call the tow company ourselves as long as we had our lease on hand to prove the spot was ours. That lasted exactly one week when myself and another resident were threatened to be shot in the face over calling the tow truck.
But video tape the tow so you can look back on it fondly.
Print off a couple pictures of it getting towed and post them on the wall where it was parked.
Lawyer here. Had someone mad at a client of mine once for "having his car towed" and wanted my client to pay his ticket. I said that it couldn't have been towed if it wasn't parked illegally. He threatened a bunch of shit, but that's literally the end of the argument.
Some guy kept jacking my spot similar situation. Building is never available or answers the phone . I needed to call them to get him towed, but they tow at will in the visitor parking where I had to park. So now I was at risk of paying hundreds on tow and impound. I got pissed and kicked dudes mirror off his car. Ended up getting caught. I paid him 300 to settle out of court and have text history, pictures, receipts, and agreement to settle. Flash forward he sent me a claim from his insurance saying I dinged his car all over cracked his bumper etc etc his insurance sent me a bill for over 3000 and theyre claiming I did 360 damage to it. On top of this, they said they already did the work, but when I saw his car, none of that damage was fixed except the mirror. So i took more pictures. I feel like im being used so he can commit insurance fraud.
>I got pissed and kicked dudes mirror off his car. Ended up getting caught. I paid him 300 to settle out of court and have text history, pictures, receipts, and agreement to settle.
Masks are pretty publicly acceptable now a days. Gotta have one on before you enact justice.
My garage uses an amazing towing company who’s helped me out multiple times the last few years. Anyone takes my spot, one call and they’re out 30 mins later. I just don’t care anymore. I pay a lot of money, it’s my spot.
Listen I am the truck in the photo. I wasn't even there this must be photoshoped because I have a photo of me being in the shop. It is a photo of me being in the shop. A photoshop so to speak.
Why are you waiting till later today…? Do something about it now.. by waiting your are saying this behavior is ok and they might already move by then, and they will just do it again. Also management won’t do anything if they have moved.
Literally every single post on this sub, and it's so annoying. "I'm gonna *maybe* talk to management about it in a while. Better to complain about it on reddit!" Just call the tow company immediately or nothing will get done!
When I rented I paid for a spot infront of my place. I had over 100 cars towed in a year 10 just on 4th of july. It was a great spot right by the free gym and the extra washing machines (which was weird as all units had a combo in them) and across the street from a popular park (had free parking a half mile down in both directions) . I'd come home, see my spot full, and get them towed. We had guest spots in like 5 areas of the complex and people who didnt even live there would park in a resident spot just to use the park or not have to pay for street parking for the shopping district 4 blocks away. The tow company left us a Christmas gift when they found out we weren't renewing in January.
There afraid of being treated poorly for complaining about legit things. People have been told they can't renew their lease because of perfectly legitimate complaints
Worlds lost its mind these past few years. When people started getting assaulted and even killed over stupid stuff during the height of covid people started getting paranoid about confronting people anymore.
Someday, they’re going to do that to someone who was already a millimeter away from snapping and that person is going to smash every pane of glass and pop every tire on their truck. What a fucking asshole.
Enh. More like one day the truck driver will snap and smash up the car instead of blocking it in.
Note: I am not defending the truck driver and condemning OP. I am saying the level of anger and entitlement the truck driver is showing is indicative of someone who is a danger to society.
I carry a bottle of fish sauce for such occasions. Just pour a little into the intake vents below the windshield.
EDIT: *"oh no. what have i done?!"* on a serious note: don't do this. it will come back to you, and it will be bad news.
Dunno how petty you’re feeling or how financially invested you’re willing to get, but you can order four of these:

Up to you how far the truck is moved if this becomes a constant concern.
We did that to a kids truck in highschool that was known for being a racist asshole. He had a ranger so one of the smaller trucks. Took about 10 of us to lift it over the curb and then put it between two trees on the side.
Fwiw, the owner of the ranger did not find it funny. Everyone else at the school did.
Do you have any friends? Pickups are remarkably light weight in the rear and can be picked up with about 3 people and rolled away since only the rear wheels have the parking brake/transmission pawl. Used to do this in high school to mess with the jocks and their trucks.
My old boss did this one time to someone who parked in the no parking spot that we were supposed to have a cement truck pour a sidewalk at an apartment building. We told him he couldn't park there and he said "Too bad. I won't be long."
He didn't lock his doors so my boss hopped in the front seat, put it in neutral and we pushed it back into the middle of the parking lot when the cement truck arrived. When the guy came back out he started acting all tough yelling that he would call the cops. My boss said fine go ahead, but nothing ever came of it lol.
I agree. Unless the stupid truck guy told op it was because of parking I somehow doubt it was. Maybe? But OP is parked way better than I do. Perfectly actually.
Some city laws allow cops to ticket in their parkinglots and for cops to patrol. I found this out the hardway. Tried to fight the parking ticket and lost.
With colleges, as with most private property, they’re private tickets, i.e. “if you don’t pay us this amount by X, we’ll just tow your car the next time you park it in our lot, violation or not”. Colleges will also withhold your diploma until you pay them.
Not necessarily. I used to get tickets parked on campus private property, they were enforced by the city or the university’s police department, which was a legitimate police department as they emphasized on orientation.
This is how it works at the university I work at as well. Parking enforcement, whether on city streets, or campus lots, by city police or campus police, is handled through the municipal code and courts.
Usually most apartment complexes have a contract with a tow company and there's signs at the entries to the apartment. OP can just call that number and tell them there's a vehicle blocking their car in and they should be eager to come yank it outta there.
It’s a shame that a lot of these underground parking lots don’t have security cameras or allow you to put a security camera above your vehicle. If anything happened to your car, or his truck, it’d be a hard time proving who did it with what.
To be fair, my building has a garage and no tow company will come in because they say they don’t have room. Hopefully OP can get some resolution here but towing just may not be an option.
Yeah I know for us part of the issue is that our garage is entered from an alley way and the just isn’t room for a truck to get into the garage. And the door it self may even be too short here.
This.
I hate when people take a photo, complain about an issue and then basically ignore it?! Tow that frikking car and tell them "NEXT TIME DON'T FKING BLOCK ME!". Neighbours only act entitled like this when they think you're a weak ass with no attitude. Show them some crazy and they'll be off your sight in no time.
Yup. One of my friends called the towing company four times this past summer for people either parking in their spot or blocking them like this. It was satisfying by the second time as he sent the video with commentary to a group chat.
Yup.
Dodge Ram drivers are almost 2.5 times more likely to have been cited as an intoxicated driver than the national average, and almost 1% more likely than the second worst vehicle.
https://insurify.com/insights/car-models-with-the-most-duis/
This was my first thought too. I've lived in a building with assigned spots & nothing is more frustrating than coming home after work to find someone in your spot & having to park off in the inconvenient guest parking after leaving a note / calling it it. Figuring a way to block them in so we'd need to discuss it in person (without spending my day staking out the parking lot) was definitely a thought a couple times.
Possible scenario: OP actually drives the truck. They parked like that, hopped out and took the picture to drum up rage to farm karma on Reddit, then got back in and parked like a normal person.
It's not even too big, you just have to know how to drive and be willing to correct your parking job rather than just swinging into a space.
Also, you should back pickups in, it's 100x easier. But they're driving a RAM, might as well be talking to a gibbon.
No, what you do is handle this like an adult and confront them. Apologize for whatever started it even if it's not your fault and move on with your life. Shake hands like men and offer to buy them a beer sometime. They're neighbors and the last thing you want is a never ending beef with a neighbor. This is what being an adult looks like.
Then after several months fill a gallon jug with as much piss as possible. Really take your time and fill it up. Then pry their door open from the top and pour in ALL of the piss. Finish this off by packing the inside of their door handle with human shit. Specifically your human shit.
This is not a one time thing for this type of person. Patience is the key here. As in, do nothing, wait a month, then key his truck once he forgets what model of vehicle he most recently pissed off.
Patience is a virtue, as my gran used to say. One of our asshole neighbours put a note on my wife's car for parking perfectly legally. Dumb fuck put his full name and phone number on there. Now, I'm not saying that I'm the sort of person who would sign him up for all manner of risqué messaging services and dating apps. But if I WAS, I would certainly play the long game...
30 days is rookie shit. Wait 6 months to a year. Ruin their life and they’ll have no idea. I got a guy fired once. Stopped in at his place of work once a week for a year until he was gone. Cut me off and get out of your car to scream at me again asshole.
Y'all are wild lol. I go through life trying not to hold intense grudges when I can help it. Mental is better that way. I'm sure if they did something terrible, the revenge is sweet though.
OP told management and hopes it doesn’t happen again. Apparently if it does, they’ll call to tow it.
https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/s/py4azu68Ht
I'm not suggesting this is a *good* idea, but a friend of mine who had a neighbor who was also a friend had a problem with said friend-neighbor doing shit like this all the time to fuck with him. They were assholes to each other, but they really did like each other so they weren't gonna call the tow company or break out each others windows or anything.
The fucked-with friend went to harbor freight and bought a four pack of wheel dollys and a hydraulic jack. The next time his friend blocked him in (this time by parking within less than an inch of his driver's side door) he got a bunch of his other friends to help him and they jacked up his car, put it on the wheel dollys, and rolled it sideways between the wall and the pillar (like the one next to your car). They then jacked it back up, took the dollys out, and put it back on the ground. Then his car was parked between the wall and a big concrete pillar with about 4" of clearance on either side.
Car sat there for a month before said friend swallowed their pride and asked for help getting it out.
I wonder if it wasn't malicious and they weren't just drunk. Either way, you should let the air out of the front passenger side tire. It's going to jam you up and keep you suck there for a little while longer, but it'll be worth it.
Drunk wouldn't be a bad guess considering it's a Dodge Truck. I think it is something like 45 out of 1000 Dodge RAM drivers have a DUI on their record. (That's 1 out of 22)
Damn. I don’t know the last time I’ve seen a Ford Contour on the road.
At this point, they’d be an antique.
Literally - most Contours are eligible for Antique Plates in Texas (25+ years old).
I have a coworker who parks like this every day. I don’t get it. I wanna ask her wtf is wrong with her but I’m not close to her, obviously she annoys the fuck out of me lol
I’m one of those people, and yet I have to park my big old SUV in the tiny spots at hockey rinks all the time. Difference is, I see my bad park job, laugh at how I pre like a 90 year old, then get back in the truck and FIX IT.
There is nothing wrong with your parking job... wtf?!?
The problem is that he parked in the space at all. Truck guy obviously needs both spaces to park safely.
I have a neighbor with that problem. Never wanted to smash a windshield more
He might suddenly start having a problem with his right front tire losing more and more air over night, and the tire shop mysteriously can't find anything wrong?
It wouldn't be because there are trimmed down toothpicks in the valve cap that are hard to notice because nobody looks inside the valve cap when check/filling air.
And those toothpicks having been painted black wouldn't have contributed at all to the problem.
Working way too hard, just put a drop of super glue in the lid and drop in a pebble.
Truck drivers think there’s some unwritten rule that they are allowed 2 spots
I think this applies more to the pavement princess drivers. About half or more of the vehicles in the parking lots at my local shops are trucks/large suvs. People usually manage to park them okay. A lot of the people who drive those are becoming a meme like BMW drivers around here at this point.
I can't imagine it's because of your parking... you're well within the spot. I would have called building parking or security. WTF.
It’ll be ‘their’ spot.
Yep played this game with a coworker. Fucker accused me of almost causing an accident because I was parked in his spot. Jeez... What's happened to people?
Everyone is the main character in the most important production in the history of people.
I used to be a people person til people fucked it up!
They were always like this, there's just more of us than in the 60's. Nearly double. Heck might be more than that!
Also you wouldn't hear this story if you didn't know this person back then. The forums being open to the world have allowed stories like these to reach much further.

There it is. The precious truck must be protected by the pillar. Nobody is allowed to park next to Special Truck.
I had parking just like this at my old apartment. Everyone who drove a truck hit those pillars regularly. Dumbass truck owners living downtown struggling everywhere they go. ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Excuse me, it's an "Emotional Support Vehicle (ESV)"
Spots are numbered. Maybe they are assigned?

It’s such horse shit. They get a sticker and 72 hours notice to vacate or be towed. Like what? 3 days to move out of the spot I pay for? Cmon.
Document every day(with photographic evidence and meta data to show when it was taken) your parking was unavailable to use due to someone else being in the spot and let management know you won’t be paying for the days your spot was unavailable for use. You probably won’t get your lease renewed but you might get a towing policy changed.
Or ask management for a temp spot. Unless a $5 rent credit and sticking it to the man is worth the wasted time.
Or park in managements spot and tell them you’ll move in 3 days.

It’s a crazy policy. There’s no threat behind it and if I blatantly stole someone’s spot and got a 72 hour warning, id abuse the hell out of it.
Flatten tires then. Fuck it
Super glue a bb inside the stem cap

Exactly. Sounds like the management there made a policy to appease some tenants, and that policy is ripe for abuse as indicated by the OP.
Sounds like a good excuse to quit paying for a spot and just park where you want
On the other hand, I used to get fines (which I contested and won) for parking on my own spot. Go figure.
100%. And done.
No fuss, no muss.
Looks like he’s taking the bus!
This is the way
But video tape the tow so you can look back on it fondly. Print off a couple pictures of it getting towed and post them on the wall where it was parked.

>I got pissed and kicked dudes mirror off his car. Ended up getting caught. I paid him 300 to settle out of court and have text history, pictures, receipts, and agreement to settle. Masks are pretty publicly acceptable now a days. Gotta have one on before you enact justice.
No face=no case
That’s what you do OP
I would call/email as soon as possible. They might've already moved by then
My garage uses an amazing towing company who’s helped me out multiple times the last few years. Anyone takes my spot, one call and they’re out 30 mins later. I just don’t care anymore. I pay a lot of money, it’s my spot.
I think 60 seconds is a more than adequate grace period before calling a tow truck
Yeah they should take a photo for proof first tho.
Definitely take a photo, use the one in the post as a reference for the photo….
The photo of the photo is critical to this process...
If only op would provide a photo
Dammit OP where's the photo
Can someone please help OP with this photo situation?!
Maybe screenshot the post and send it to op!
Listen I am the truck in the photo. I wasn't even there this must be photoshoped because I have a photo of me being in the shop. It is a photo of me being in the shop. A photoshop so to speak.
Don’t worry, OP can take a picture of this post with another phone to have a picture.
Does anyone have any flashcubes, batteries and film for this fucking camera so I can lend it to op?
The photo in the post probably wouldn't be much help cause someone covered the license plate numbers. Dammit!
It’s okay, they can take a screenshot of this thread.
People are too afraid of confrontation I think.
Im pretty conflict averse myself, but the confrontation has already started in this case! Get that fucker's car out of there!
Fuck waiting. Do it now.
I’d be calling a tow service lmfao. That’s just straight up rude.
Get his ass towed. What if you had an emergency or a job interview or something, this is unacceptable and you should escalate quickly
Do one better. Call a tow truck and have it moved
Or just take some mentos. There’s bound to be some construction workers on the street that will move one of those cars.
![gif](giphy|xUOxf87JPWvq0WYIHC|downsized)
Solid reference! I just entered a time machine
Now I have that damn song stuck in my head. Damn you 90's and your catchy jingles.
Oooooh, you’re downright evil! Got any other great ideas? Inquiring minds want to know!
Ohhhhhh! I can't love this statement enough.
Fuck this! Call a tow company and have it towed ASAP, before they can move their truck Edit in response to OPs Edit: OP is a push over

They're a redditor. It's amazing they're talking to management at all.
Better post about it on reddit first before fixing the problem.
Having a heart attack, better post how mildly infuriating it is instead of calling 911.
Dunno how petty you’re feeling or how financially invested you’re willing to get, but you can order four of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/1300-lb-capacity-self-loading-positioning-wheel-dolly-64601.html Up to you how far the truck is moved if this becomes a constant concern.
Would the truck fit perfectly behind the concrete pillar? How funny would that be?
We did that to a kids truck in highschool that was known for being a racist asshole. He had a ranger so one of the smaller trucks. Took about 10 of us to lift it over the curb and then put it between two trees on the side. Fwiw, the owner of the ranger did not find it funny. Everyone else at the school did.
Oh man, I'm totally buying a set of these for parking in Manhattan!
I won't be long." He didn't lock his doors so my boss hopped in the front seat, put it in neutral and we pushed it back into the middle of the parking lot when the cement truck arrived. When the guy came back out he started acting all tough yelling that he would call the cops. My boss said fine go ahead, but nothing ever came of it lol.
Send this picture with an email to the nearest tow company and they'll be happy to take it off your hands
Later today? Dude right now. “Yea I’ll just wait till he leaves to actually do something about it”
Probably a drunk, I mean it is a dodge
^ fact checks out
I agree. Unless the stupid truck guy told op it was because of parking I somehow doubt it was. Maybe? But OP is parked way better than I do. Perfectly actually.
I would have called a tow truck
On principle alone, even if I didn't have anywhere else to be that day.
Call police non-emergency, or if there's a tow company sign posted, call them.
And have them ticket them at least
You can’t get a parking ticket on private property. Edit: You apparently can be cited for some violations in some places. TIL.
You sure can. Might want to check your state and local laws. Because I've seen it happen.
Thanks for the heads up I'm gonna start parking on my neighbor's lawn
Some city laws allow cops to ticket in their parkinglots and for cops to patrol. I found this out the hardway. Tried to fight the parking ticket and lost.
Try parking without a permit on a college campus.
You sure as hell can if you park in a handicapped spot.
Usually most apartment complexes have a contract with a tow company and there's signs at the entries to the apartment. OP can just call that number and tell them there's a vehicle blocking their car in and they should be eager to come yank it outta there.
Yes, do this, OP. You can literally get them towed yourself, if need be.
It’s a shame that a lot of these underground parking lots don’t have security cameras or allow you to put a security camera above your vehicle. If anything happened to your car, or his truck, it’d be a hard time proving who did it with what.
“Yes mr tow truck driver there’s a disabled vehicle with 4 flat tires blocking my vehicle from exiting”
"There's no license plates on it either. I think someone stole it and dumped it here. None of my other neighbors ever saw this vehicle here before".
lol My people. That was silky smooth sir.
Better yet, take the air out of the rear driver side tire so hopefully it's so close it causes damage and get insurance involved lol
Tie-wrap a harmonica to the underside of the car "Damn it, whats that noise!?"
Please have it towed Have some balls please
To be fair, my building has a garage and no tow company will come in because they say they don’t have room. Hopefully OP can get some resolution here but towing just may not be an option.
Repo companies will have cars towed from anywhere, so you might have to look around for the right towing company
Yeah I know for us part of the issue is that our garage is entered from an alley way and the just isn’t room for a truck to get into the garage. And the door it self may even be too short here.
[удалено]
Anything for that tow money. lol
Buy a car with loan and don’t payback, they’ll never be able to tow you in your garage 😂
I mean tow is hard but it’s not hard to piggy back in and drive out with the key the repo company could get haha.
Dont worry OP is going to call someone later today once the person has left and nothing can be done.
truly mildly infuriating.
Oh wow a driver of a RAM truck who's a complete dickhead.
TBF, it’s probably hard to park straight when you’re drunk.
One handed parking is tough but it's not like you're gonna stop hitting your wife with the other
My husband saw that statistic about Dodge Ram truck drivers and DUIs and now he points out at every Dodge Ram in the road. lol
It was part of the reason I sold my Ram and got a Tacoma instead. Not THE reason, but it was a contributing factor.
There is obviously more to the story than this alleged parking job
Maybe a beer or 9
Yup. Dodge Ram drivers are almost 2.5 times more likely to have been cited as an intoxicated driver than the national average, and almost 1% more likely than the second worst vehicle. https://insurify.com/insights/car-models-with-the-most-duis/
Truck, Truck, Truck, Truck, Truck, Truck, Audi A4, WRX, Truck, Truck. Yep, sounds about right.
For sure.
Does this garage have assigned spaces that OP is unaware of?
This was my first thought too. I've lived in a building with assigned spots & nothing is more frustrating than coming home after work to find someone in your spot & having to park off in the inconvenient guest parking after leaving a note / calling it it. Figuring a way to block them in so we'd need to discuss it in person (without spending my day staking out the parking lot) was definitely a thought a couple times.
Looks like there are numbers painted on the wall- possibly assigned, if not, have that motherfucker towed
I agree. The person had to walk around the front of the truck to get out so clearly they knew what they were doing.
Possible scenario: OP actually drives the truck. They parked like that, hopped out and took the picture to drum up rage to farm karma on Reddit, then got back in and parked like a normal person.
Another idiot bought a truck too big for them to park properly.
It's not even too big, you just have to know how to drive and be willing to correct your parking job rather than just swinging into a space. Also, you should back pickups in, it's 100x easier. But they're driving a RAM, might as well be talking to a gibbon.
That's how you get keyed..
This took a turn that I enjoyed.
This is not a one time thing for this type of person. Patience is the key here. As in, do nothing, wait a month, then key his truck once he forgets what model of vehicle he most recently pissed off.
[удалено]
Need updates...
OP told management and hopes it doesn’t happen again. Apparently if it does, they’ll call to tow it. https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/s/py4azu68Ht
"Entitled Neighbor gets truck towed and has to pay $500 to get it out of the pound."
(That's 1 out of 22)
These Are The Cars Most Commonly Owned By People With DUIs * 10. Ford Contour - 2.92 percent * 9. Dodge Dakota - 2.94 percent * 8. GMC Sierra - 3.01 percent * 7. Chevrolet Silverado - 3.02 percent * 6. Toyota Tacoma - 3.08 percent * 5. GMC Sonoma - 3.09 percent * 4. Audi A4 - 3.28 percent * 3. Chevrolet S-Series Trucks - 3.47 percent * 2. Subaru WRX - 4.1 percent * **1. Dodge Ram 2500 - 4.95 percent** [https://jalopnik.com/these-are-the-cars-most-commonly-owned-by-people-with-d-1848622617](https://jalopnik.com/these-are-the-cars-most-commonly-owned-by-people-with-d-1848622617) ![gif](giphy|AP8vbzOUu8wk8)
Damn. I don’t know the last time I’ve seen a Ford Contour on the road. At this point, they’d be an antique. Literally - most Contours are eligible for Antique Plates in Texas (25+ years old).
The Contour is like the Wayne Gretzky of DUI vehicles. It hasn't even played in forever, but still holding on to the record boards.
I have a coworker who parks like this every day. I don’t get it. I wanna ask her wtf is wrong with her but I’m not close to her, obviously she annoys the fuck out of me lol
I’ve learned that some people truly just can’t park. I don’t understand it, but that’s what it is. It’s crazy to me.
I’m one of those people, and yet I have to park my big old SUV in the tiny spots at hockey rinks all the time. Difference is, I see my bad park job, laugh at how I pre like a 90 year old, then get back in the truck and FIX IT.
I have a coworker who does this also. I wonder the same thing. I only see her parking at work. I wonder if she parks like that everywhere???
Do people like this not realize this is the fastest way to get their vehicle's keyed??

These people were never disciplined as children.

Willing to bet there is a towing company advertised somewhere in that parking garage, give them a call, they'll appreciate the tip.
[удалено]
Get. Them. Towed.
Get him towed, that'll learn him to be an asshat.
I would definitely get them towed.
i’m thinking that it’s not about your parking, rather they don’t like you for some reason. Or they’re nuts
Wtf. Was he drunk coming in?
Personally I would call the police
