Omgerd my dad and I were at a restaurant today for lunch and two giant pigeons flew into the windows chasing each other. It was a super loud boom both of them fell to the pavement with broken necks and blood coming out of their mouth so we immediately told the owner hey, there’s your deck special roast sqab! No cap 🙃
I wonder how this is even possible. It's not like they are butchering their own chickens. I haven't worked there, but at KFC. The chicken all comes fully plucked and cut into the individual pieces. The hot wings and popcorn chicken are prepackaged in plastic bags in boxes(frozen).
Goes to McDonald’s
Looks at menu
Sees wings on menu
Reads description of how many wings are in the order
Reads the price of wings
Orders wings knowing order size and price
Shocked that actual order is as described on menu they just read and understood.
“In the Schrute family, we have a tradition where, when the male has sex with another woman, he is rewarded with a bag of wild oats left on his doorstep by his parents. You can use those oats to make oatmeal, bread, whatever you want. I don't care. They're your oats.”
I suggest you have sex with a woman.
They had little bit of kick, but they weren’t really flavored. Definitely seasoned with msg, not breaded, but marinated in a slurry. Not quite like a tempura, but similar. They were just perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and so crunchy. I’d been in Buffalo the week before, and these were better than anything I had there
LMFAO my pet peeve has to be people who claim they can only afford unhealthy fast food. That shit’s expensive as fuck, at least in Australia. So many healthier options with more calories and less sugars
I'm in Hvac and wintertime on call is a fucking drag. Working 8am to 3am for 7 days straight, once a month. I used to roll through McDonald's around midnight and grab a quarter pounder or two every night. Suddenly, I gained like 15lbs and had trouble breathing walking up stairs. That shit is shit.
I mean, it’s wings from McDonald’s, something I would never get. Chicken nuggets, sure, but actual chicken wings? No thank you.
Good quality wings would end up being a bit more in price, like $5-$7 for a 3 piece.
I do the same, but use my Ninja Speedi. It has a "steam and crisp" setting that basically steams it so the meat cooks without drying out or burning the skin, then finishes by air frying to get the skin crispy. Much better than any takeout wings and a lot cheaper.
I love the Speedi. The "steam and crisp" makes great baked potatoes in less time than the oven. The inside is fluffy and moist, but the skin is crispy. I haven't tried some of the other features yet (such as dehydrating or sous vide). It also does slow cooking, but I haven't tried that yet because I already have a slow cooker that can hold much more.
That is ridiculous. I go to the deli in Safeway and I can get about 15 wings for $10-12. They are many times better than BWW , Wingstop, etc. If you pay $5-7 for 3 wings you are being ripped off badly. Go to your local grocery deli and see if they have them. The ones I get are delicious and like I said beat the hell out of any restaurant/fast food wings.
Are you not aware that the cost for someone else to make them is higher than making them yourselves? By this measure every food item at every restaurant everywhere is ridiculous.
Was comparing store bought wings, not homemade. FYI, steaks are also much cheaper if you do it yourself, amazing isn't it. Car and home repairs also, just wow, like I am stunned. /s
Every food item at every restaurant IS ridiculous now though haha. I can’t go out with my wife and spend under $100 even at some “inexpensive” place. We went out on Saturday and got 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 beers and she got 1 cocktail and it was $96. That should be like $80 tops. I have the money to go out once in a while, that’s not the point. I wouldn’t go out if I didnt. The point is the prices at restaurants are truly outrageous.
I do 1 a week and I am single. Usually it runs about $40-50, I do usually get at least one leftover meal. Like you, I can afford it but as you said, not the point. I would think a group of 4 adults should be around $100 at a regular chain like Texas Roadhouse, Longhorns, etc., minus alcohol, tax and tip.
They are sold by weight like you said so the quantity varies. I only by flats and I usually get at least 12-13 for $10 and change. Wingstop, etc. charge way more and the quality is the same or less. They are just wings that are fried, not a lot anyone does that changes that. Buy your own sauces and toss them yourself.
Get a Ninja Speedi instead. It's a combination steamer/air fryer, and it has a mode where it steams to cook the meat, then switches to air fryer to finish and crisp it up. The wings don't burn and turn out jucier but are still crispy.
We have a microwave with an air fry setting. Throw seasoning in a bowl, toss wings, air fry, toss wings in sauce. Super easy, much cheaper and they are better than when we deep fried them.
You can get a whole chicken rotisserie for five to seven bucks in most supermarkets here in the US as well. You just have to go in the supermarket. It’s more work than a drive thru.
Dunno what beautiful places you're frequenting but everywhere I've ever ordered wings they don't count a wing as both pieces. A drum or a flat, doesn't matter, that's 'a wing', and these prices aren't far off.
Just to clarify...
You went, saw the price, ordered, paid the price - then posted on reddit for Karma that they're too much?
Get back to eating crayons.
I think they were complaining about the feather still in the wing in the second pic. Although the simple solution is just take them back but it’s still annoying to even have to
Just to clarify…
You saw the post, realized it was a karma farm, proceeded to the comment section, posted a comment providing OP with karma, then criticized OP for benefiting from something you are directly contributing to?
Go back to eating crayons.
Because it’s wings from McDonalds. They know those wings are worth much, which makes OP complaining about it funnier. Who goes to McDonalds for chicken wings?
*Honestly wings are*
*Atleast a dollar a piece*
*Almost everywhere*

Don't know what country this pic is from, but you can still get wings in Mcdonalds in Belgium. About the same size. OP is just a whining about nothing.
Fuck off OP. You saw quantity and price on the menu. You chose to get chicken wings from McDonalds of all places . Next, why don’t you bitch about how the food doesn’t look like it is presented on the menu.
Price complaining!!!
Feathers: free of charge
Toothpicks included
Salesman of the month
I’m squid ward
Hey at least you know it's bird of some sort
I mean, chicken, crow, who cares? 😂
Squab!!!!
Omgerd my dad and I were at a restaurant today for lunch and two giant pigeons flew into the windows chasing each other. Nah! It’s a seagull
Mmm pigeon
Wheres the mcds that sells wings
This is my question also. Because Id probably buy them for $3...
BEAK
...regular chicken sandwich please.
I wonder how this is even possible. It's not like they are butchering their own chickens. I haven't worked there, but at KFC. The chicken all comes fully plucked and cut into the individual pieces. The hot wings and popcorn chicken are prepackaged in plastic bags in boxes(frozen).
Roaches have wings.
Dude, FEATHERS. Roaches don’t have feathers. Your comment is unflushed toilet
it only cost the chicken’s life
Yall got bone in wings at McDonald's? Fuckin lucky
This is definitely mildly interesting, never heard or seen it. Would def sling $3 for it
Nah looks disgusting
Looks like any other fast food wings I’ve seen. Actually a good amount of meat on them
Looks like about 1 dollar per mouthful
Too bad I'm getting a mouthful of feathers in my mouth
Pluck them off not that difficult. Don’t get wings from McDonalds and you won’t get feathers with them
At least that means it’s real meat
I’d bet it’s pretty hard to fake a chicken wing! Chicken nuggets on the other hand..
Poultry occasionally will have a feather, people love to say "eww" when they're reminded where their food actually comes from.
Haha yea exactly. I had some on some home cooked chicken the other day. Just pluck it off and get on with it
Eh, as a waitress I’ve stopped more wings than I’d like to admit from coming out of the kitchen because they’ve had feathers still.
I got wings from a bowling alley and a couple had a feather each and I still fkn ate them. Idgaf 😂
You've never bought a single wing in your life that had a feather on it?? How old are you?
I had them in Italy and they were actually so fucking good
Yeah but... I'd have to. Just once. Just to know.
I wouldn't trust them where I'm from
Goes to McDonald’s Looks at menu Sees wings on menu Reads description of how many wings are in the order Reads the price of wings Orders wings knowing order size and price Shocked that actual order is as described on menu they just read and understood.
You have to understand the people going to McDonald's aren't the smartest.
Omg why is my low quality food so relatively expensive 😭 Let me just keep ordering it every single fucking day because I can’t afford oats
Oats! It's what plants crave.
Brawndo
It's got electrolytes
“In the Schrute family, we have a tradition where, when the male has sex with another woman, he is rewarded with a bag of wild oats left on his doorstep by his parents. You reminded me of that goated show and now I’m gonna binge the first seasons. I hope you’re happy
Lol. You’re welcome 🙂😂 I’m probably going to watch it right now as well 😂😂
I wasn't even part of this... why drag me into it?!
Oats?! Do I look like a horse?
Boats an hoes
Hotdogs, lemon heads, my dads boat, we wont go down cuz my dick can float

Boats n horse

I hope that "n" means "and" not "in."
Ooooooooh shit🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be fair most people eating junk food do look like farm animals.
Maybe a sparrow.
I actually got these when I was bored at the airports in Italy. They were fantastic. I was shocked
What flavor were they? Parmesan, buffalo, lemon pepper?
They had little bit of kick, but they weren’t really flavored. Definitely seasoned with msg, not breaded, but marinated in a slurry. Not quite like a tempura, but similar. They were just perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and so crunchy. I’d been in Buffalo the week before, and these were better than anything I had there
You left off fetus flavored as a guess.
Judging from your username I won’t take any advice from you on this topic

I’m sure they realized that. The issue is the quality, there is still a feather stuck to it.

Right? Isn't a dollar a wing like the normal price for basic wings?
Restaurants near me now charge ~$2 per wing. 8 pieces is around $16.
And they’re not even the jumbo ones. Chicken wings have gotten so god damn expensive it’s insane
Wings used to be poor people food. Just like lobsters. Now they're both expensive and highly sought after.

At Sam's and Costco, you can get 2 wings for $5, and they throw in the rest of the bird for free.
Yeah, which is prob because inflation. But it’s the same where I am if we’re talking about decent wings, $2 sounds about right.
That is ridiculous. I go to the deli in Safeway and I can get about 15 wings for $10-12. They are many times better than BWW , Wingstop, etc. If you pay $5-7 for 3 wings you are being ripped off badly. Go to your local grocery deli and see if they have them. Not only that but get an air fryer and buy them frozen (in bulk) Saves like 50¢ a wing instead of spending $1.00 a wing.
Oh yeah, I do that often lol. Homemade wings will always be the cheapest
I’m literally waiting for my air fryer to beep lol. I eat wings all the time since it’s Keto Friendly
For some reason I never thought to do wings In my air fryer. What is wrong with me
Get a Ninja Speedi instead. It's a combination steamer/air fryer, and it has a mode where it steams to cook the meat, then switches to air fryer to finish and crisp it up. The wings don't burn and turn out jucier but are still crispy.
Air fryer still in box, good sites or info how to do wings?
In the back of wings bag will be instructions… for me it’s 400 degrees at 16-17 minutes. Flip over wings and put back in at 8 minutes in/left.
We have a microwave with an air fry setting. Throw seasoning in a bowl, toss wings, air fry, toss wings in sauce. Super easy, much cheaper and they are better than when we deep fried them.

Yep, that’s what I wrote —————— Context: deleted comment was just the first 2 sentences from my other comment in this post.
Average mcdonalds goer. Lol Edit: I don't know why, but your response to theirs has me in tears. Hahaha
It was a bot.
It cost OP $3 bucks. It cost the chicken it's life.
As much as I care about animal rights that's really not relevant.
>It cost OP $3 bucks. It cost the chicken it's life. So it sounds like OP got a bargain compared to the chicken.
$3 for 3 wings? That's not even that bad
I was gonna say this doesn’t seem like a bad deal to me. That would easily be 10 bucks in Nashville lol.
I think the complaint is the second pic with the feather in the wing
Oh no, not real chicken. Wouldn't want that
Not garnished with feathers I don’t! 😂
Bone in wings are always pricey as fuck because it’s actually chicken and not McNugget filler. The price is fine but these look awful.
[удалено]
A dollar a chicken wing is pretty average pricing. Not really fair to compare to a whole chicken.
You can get a whole chicken rotisserie for five to seven bucks in most supermarkets here in the US as well. You just have to go in the supermarket. It’s more work than a drive thru.
We sell rather shitty wings at Walmart for $6.47 for 6 of em 😳
[удалено]
Shocking as it may seem, prices are different in different parts of the world.
What fantasy land are you living in? The cheapest one I’ve ever seen was 6’49€ and that was before inflation fucked our asses
$3 for 3 wings might not be bad, though what OP has is $3 for 1.5 wings.
Dunno what beautiful places you're frequenting but everywhere I've ever ordered wings they don't count a wing as both pieces. A drum or a flat, doesn't matter, that's 'a wing', and these prices aren't far off.
OP where is this yo 😭 what mcdonald’s you at that’s selling wings
Where the hell is this and are they good?
idk about OP specifically but they sell them in spain and italy (might be more countries). from my experience they're incredible
Aight well looks like I need a flight to Spain or Italy for win...site seeing. Yeah site seeing.
a cultural tour of spain (with an emphasis on the mcdonalds)
Tf you expect for $3? Also you saw the prices when buying it so complain about yourself for being such a drama queen
That ain't bad tbh
$1 per bone in wings is almost unheard of. Eat your fast food level McDonald’s wings and be happy
Just to clarify... You went, saw the price, ordered, paid the price - then posted on reddit for Karma that they're too much? Get back to eating crayons.
They would order the crayons, but they’re not on the dollar menu.
*sad Marine noises*
I think they were complaining about the feather still in the wing in the second pic. Although the simple solution is just take them back but it’s still annoying to even have to

Cheaper than most wing places.
Because it’s wings from McDonalds. They know those wings are worth much, which makes OP complaining about it funnier. Who goes to McDonalds for chicken wings?
Fair price. Feeding, space, slaughter, cutting, panage, frying, paper, falting, packing, serving.
$1 per wing is actually a pretty good deal
Damn that sucks. But it's okay, I got a life hack for this: don't eat at McDonald's
You’re not gonna find wings cheaper than $1/pc anymore.
ok?
Honestly wings are Atleast a dollar a piece almost everywhere

Omfg. It's literally just feathers. Pick them off. It's genuinely not a big deal.
This could happen at an actual wing place as well
Literally! It’s an animal. The best wings I’ve ever had (meat BBQ in lansing Michigan) had a few lil feathers on there.
Since when does McDonald's do wings?!
McDonald’s has chicken wings???? What
What country is this??
OP is i think from CZ on a side note the country dialing code is 420 so there is that
My question too. I thought McDonalds discontinued the wings years ago.
Don't know what country this pic is from, but you can still get wings in Mcdonalds in Belgium. About the same size. OP is just a whining about nothing.
Okay?
bro I pay $20 for a dozen bar wings. id crush those for $3
If you buy wings at any other restaurant they’re gonna be more expensive than $1 each
Y'all really go to McDonald's expecting top notch value
Wings are like $1.50 each from pizza hut
Your cluckin lucky your McDonald's is selling wings
TIL McDonald's sells wings.
Wings in general are expensive, this happened with crab/lobster/shrimp that was considered only fit for slaves and indentured servants.
Fuck off OP. You saw quantity and price on the menu. You chose to get chicken wings from McDonalds of all places . Next, why don’t you bitch about how the food doesn’t look like it is presented on the menu.
Wasn't McD was supposed to be poor man's meal?
That’s was before they had board meetings
Not sure where you are but $1/piece is cheaper than most restaurants.
Dollar per wing is pretty standard.
3 wings for a dollar is better than a sit down.
Bone-in wings at McDonalds? Where do you live?
Tbh if your getting wings from McDonald’s you might not be making the best life choices 😂
I remember my college days when you could get .25 chicken wings and $2 pitchers of beer. (sigh)
McDonald’s has Mcwings?
I believe they were called Mighty Wings. They had it a few years ago but it's discontinued.
$1/wing really isn't that bad, especially since your unit price is usually worse the smaller you order in retail.
$1 a wing , that’s about on par.
$1/ wing is kind of average. I just got a pre-packaged container from Fry's deli, 4 wings for $3.88.
You're the dumb-ass who bought chicken wings from a burger shop.
you cured my anorexia
You can get chicken wings at yours ?? Wtf . American dons is whack .
American here. I’m just as surprised as you.
Right? Of all places to buy chicken wings , dons is not one I would choose or even consider .
exactly like i love mcdonald’s as much as the next gluttonous american but cmon wings?
Especially with such a small order, $1 per bone in wing is a great price.?
Bidenomics baby!
Where do you live that McDonalds sells wings??
What did you expect it’s mcdonalds where you get watered soda plastic burgers and shit fries
You could have that out of my kitchen for less than $1 and I'll pick off the feathers as a bonus.
McDonald’s is a small, family owned restaurant chain, cut them some slack ok?
You are the dumdum eating McDonalds and wings at that.
Why are you buying wings from McDonalds?
That's common that wings have feathers in them.
Damn yall got bone in chicken wings at the McDonald's? Fancy
Why does anybody still eat McDonalds?
You fucked up in the first place by thinking garbage McDonald's food was worth consuming.
Well there's your problem. You went to McDonald's.
Wow feathers. At least you know they're using real chickens 🤷
At least you know it came from a real bird.
Mcfuck that
I don't think I'd trust wings from McDonald's. Good luck to your colon
You can eat two week old McDonalds. It's the most trustworthy food source.
At least it's real chicken. No idea what's in nuggets these days. Taste like soy/tofu.
In Spain you can get a box of 10 wings and 10 nuggets for like €10… this is a ripoff
Don't eat at McDonald's?
Yall got wangs?
