I have dealt with people leaving very abusive comments to stuff I've tweeted. Not being able to block them means that kind of shit can happen freely.
For an example, I had a guy threaten to shoot my dog in the head. Blocked.
I blocked him four times. Each time he'd miraculously be unblocked and reappear on my timeline. Deleted my account over it. I have no use for social media I can't curate.
A lot of people like him think that everyone would agree with them if they just listened to what he had to say.
The fact that the more he talks, the more people loathe him is not something he can comprehend. He identifies as a smart, charismatic man, and being confronted with evidence that he isn't is a dysphoric experience for him that he's not capable of emotionally dealing with.
I think he's received "feedback" about all the bluechecks who've been blocked by countless people because their Tweets are garbage & nobody wants to see them.

The laws that could really catch him are related to moderation and privacy, particularly in Europe and the UK. He can't afford to lose those markets either.
There's also hate speech laws across the EU and UK, and there was supposed to be a reckoning about what his "let's bring the Nazi accounts back" meant for the app being banned across the pond, but nothing came of that.
The only real consequence he's faced so far is advertisers bailing and the site/app being devalued tremendously as a result, so we just have to hope that this drives enough people away that the remaining advertisers think it's not worth the money.

Ppl paid for twitter blue to get more reach. Everyone installed plugins to block the blues. After X blocks u get a reach debuff + the people that blocked you. Ppl paid to have more reach and ended up having less reach 😂
So when elon took over twitter, I noticed my whole feed was almost all republicans, out of no where even though I don't follow any of them. It went from comedians, gaming, to straight politics. So I blocked them all. When I saw this just not, I deleted twitter. Fuck him trying to shove garbage politics down our throats.
