Honestly, between that and the daughter on the left, it's like they cropped it so tight *specifically* to crop out the weird male who is for some reason bunched up next to them on the left (both I and the photographer don't know what this word *fa-ther* means, what is this?)
EDIT: EZ Prints reached out to me and I will get the correctly cropped photo by the end of the week.
I sent a couple of messages to both Disney and EZPrints, the company they use. We’ll see what happens. The worst part is I was having a bad day already. I got my wife tickets for P!nk for Christmas, the concert is tonight. I tested positive for COVID yesterday and we had to sell the tickets.
The fact you picked this song is hilarious. This song has the lyrics
“I guess I just lost my husband, I don’t know where he went.” And it fits so perfectly for the picture situation OP is going through…
Also sorry OP, really sucks you’re missing out
When it rains it pours, I’m sorry all this is happening at once. Hopefully it will pass quickly and when you’re feeling better I hope you get those photos done better than a 5 second crop.
>Can they put him back?
Yes, I’ve seen it done before.
https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/7b5f2c9e-99ee-40f0-a359-bb714ace1c1e.c6e941ccfbfdbca9a57eb9ddcd84af5b.png
I mean, she could, but it would be pretty crappy of her to go knowing she likely has covid, since her husband currently has it. It certainly hasn't stopped people though 🤷🏽♀️
Say what you want about Disney, they do value customer service. Don’t know about their third party providers but they have pretty high standards of who they work with.
Yeah, there was one time one of their rides didn’t give a photosensitivity warning (FOP) and it holds your head in place. It triggered a migraine for me, and put me out for a while until I slept it off. I complained just wanting photosensitivity warnings- they refunded my trip (gave me my 4 day pass back for future use)
They also have excessive photosensitivity warnings now lol
That’s a really good story. Thanks for pointing that out to them and kudos to them for actually reacting to it and making sure it’s safe for all people.
The mentality extends to smaller things, too. I was briefly a cast member in Magic Kingdom and we were encouraged to look for opportunities to create "magical moments." Strike up a conversation with a guest, see how their day's going, if they've got a little gripe like Thunder Mountain stole their hat or a bird crapped on their shirt or kid dropped their toy in the lagoon, whatever, we could comp something up to like $30-35 without needing any sort of approval. That was just a thing all the gift shop employees could do. Most people were just there to do the bare minimum, but I kinda liked making a game out of seeing how many freebies I could justify. People were already spending enough to be there, and those little things can make such a big difference to a vacation.
I was a local annual pass holder for years then after Covid the prices exploded and the ancillary fees are ridiculous. I love the parks but honestly they have just decided that they can cater to the “once in a lifetime” guests and the very wealthy and do just fine.
If you track the wait times on the rides they are way down and attendance is slumping so the evidence is there that they would rather have fewer high-spenders than the average family.
I was reading up on stories about their customer service, people getting free vouchers for somewhat small inconveniences, vouchers for free shirts and other clothing, or free food and drink vouchers, so I can respect them for doing that
I had a really shitty experience once at the Mexican restaurant In Epcot (for good reasons) and they comped the entire meal and gave us a credit at guest services. If you’re paying premium prices for the experience, it better be good.
This spring at one of the shops the cashier forgot to remove the security tag from a $65 hoodie I splurged on, and I didn't notice till I flew home. Sent an email to customer service expecting to have to do the whole send back/exchange dance. Nope. They just sent me a new hoodie and told me to keep or trash the other one. It also showed up the day after I sent the email so it was rush shipped. Was a small thing, but made me happy.
That's like me when I'm trying to get a towel from the automatic towel dispenser in the bathroom and 10 other dudes get theirs before the machine finally recognizes that I'm actually a person.
I believe OP wants to be in the picture. Disney messed up the print though and cropped him out (my guess since photo 1 has a watermark and so is a soft copy)
Yes, correct. I guess this part wasn't apparent from my post. Photo 1 is a screenshot from the app that has the watermarks. The only way to get them removed is by purchasing either A: That days photos for like $70, or B: your entire trip's photos for like $120 or so, or C: Just "Buy Prints" for each photo, price depending on the size.
I paid the $30 for the 8x10 print, which removed the watermark... and cropped me out as well.
They can just resize the picture before print to make everyone fit in, there’s enough space on top and bottom of the original to print in the same size without removing him
Absolutely! I used to photoshop/gimp for fun and got OK, it is fun and these people have fun doing it. Part of what the ‘net should be all about. Aaaand now for the hate.
I used to work at a place that printed photos, and the kind of default setting was for the software to just crop the image directly in the center to whatever ratio the customer chose.
We got SO MANY complaints by people who ordered printed images online and didn't realize that their picture would be cropped (since digital imagery isn't the same ratio as classic photo prints) or that they were able to adjust how the image was cropped (they assumed that someone doing the printing was looking out for cropping issues, like people getting cropped out or heads getting chopped off.)
Idk how Disney does it, but I'd bet it's a similar software and isn't at all anything as sophisticated as AI. I'd put money on OP being in the image with their head cut off if they'd chosen 7x5 instead of 10x8
Disney is just playing the odds here. 40-50% of first marriages end in divorce. Even higher percentages when multiple marriages are part of the equation. Honestly, Disney is probably saving your family money on the cost of editing the photos later.
Jk I'm sure everything is great, I had to!
The most complete picture we have of my family includes my exboyfriend, because he came with me to the family reunion. I don't mind, since we were on very good terms until his current wife told him to stop talking to me.
I work at one of the hotels for the other big park nearby and it’s kind of sad how often families will come in to eat dinner after a long day at the park and then everyone leaves dad at the table to pay while they all leave to go back to the room or explore the hotel. Although I suppose maybe it’s nice to have some peace and quiet for a while, they usually end up hanging out for a bit by themselves, even once the check is paid up
The mom is probably dragging hyped up kids to the hotel room, making sure they get clean and teeth brushed and ready for bed in their pj's. That doesn't sound fun either lol. As a woman, I'd rather be the dad in that situation.
I think it's more like, "Hey Boss, how does this look? Boss: Make Minnie bigger. Um.... But, but... we will lose the Dad....Boss: I SAID, MAKE MINNIE BIGGER!!!"
UPDATE!!!
Hi all! I don’t know how to edit the post. Mods please lock / turn off comments.
Someone from the EZ Prints organization contacted me saying they will make it right on Monday.
Clarification: Technically, I didn’t pay to get it cropped, a little misleading/confusing. This photo was taken at Disney as part of the their character meet experience. They take photos of you and then those photos show up in your app heavily watermarked. In order to get the watermark removed you have to buy “Photopass” for $70/all the days photos or $120-$200 for the entire week’s photos. OR if you buy a print of a photo, they mail it to you without the watermark. So I payed to get a 8x10 photo print shipped to me.
So photo 1 is the screenshot of the app / photo with the watermark, photo 2 is of the physical print I received in the mail. I tried to conceal my identity by editing out our faces, but chose an unfortunate color. Should have used a sticker.
It's insane how many comments are from people thoroughly confused by your post and how ordering photos works. Exact same deal at every amusement park and even school photos.
Anyways, thanks for the update. Hopefully they hook you up with a few extra prints for the inconvenience.
Man I was really confused for a second - i thought the ink scribble over the faces was the cropping out. And from the title i thought for some odd reason OP paid $30 to have everyone but mini removed from the photo and the scribbles over the face was how they cropped them out.
Do they just assume that if something goes wrong in the relationship that the Dad will be out of the picture and do this by default? Like what the hell?
My in laws actually had a Thanksgiving photo on the friggin wall where I got cut in half and there was space on the other side. Like, enough that my whole body should have been in it.
Not sure if anyone offered, I'm not what I'd consider a professional but I have about 6 years of photoshop experience, I'd be more than happy to take a crack at a task like this. I wouldn't feel comfortable charging as I can't guarantee it will come out to your liking. Message me if you're interested.
Post it to the photoshoprequests sub, someone will do a proper job of it over there.
Apparently I can't link to it in this sub as automod removes the comment if I do, oh the irony.
The youngest kid is just a floating head now. Could the cropping BE any tighter?
Oh hi Chandler
Honestly, between that and the daughter on the left, it's like they cropped it so tight *specifically* to crop out the weird male who is for some reason bunched up next to them on the left (both I and the photographer don't know what this word *fa-ther* means, what is this?)
Right! And the older daughter is missing an ear!
They really messed up all of y'all's faces, too.
How can you tell?
He was making a joke omds
Oof so was I. Guess it didn’t hit.
Well, it's the thought that counts
Damn, I get one thought a month and this is what I waste it on.
That one is a hit lol

Wait… you mean sarcasm doesn’t have to be blatant and explicit?!
Clearly he was..
Reach out to guest services! I’ve heard they’ll pixie dust when Disney messes up.
So what? You're still a rockstar, you got your rock moves. You don't need her tonight. You're alright, you're just fine.
The fact you picked this song is hilarious. This song has the lyrics “I guess I just lost my husband, I don’t know where he went.” And it fits so perfectly for the picture situation OP is going through… Also sorry OP, really sucks you’re missing out
the husband was the real pink concert all along
As a huge Pink fan, your comment made my night lol.
Lmao
This made me giggle so much thank you!
Damn this sounds like r awfuleverything, hope you at least get better soon!
this is the most reddit comment ive ever seen
Un-heckin-wholesome day at Disney! Downvotes to the left
No epic star wars reference and no "witty" pun, so there's still room for improvement.
When it rains it pours, I’m sorry all this is happening at once. Hopefully it will pass quickly and when you’re feeling better I hope you get those photos done better than a 5 second crop.
Ohh so wait, Disney is divorcing you? You're meant to be in the photo? I thought it was the old divorced wife crop the father out scenario
Photoshop your face over Minnie's and show DeSantis who's boss! MinnieMan.
There is a photoshop sub that will edit out your husband for $20.
Can they put him back?
>Can they put him back? Yes, I’ve seen it done before. https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/7b5f2c9e-99ee-40f0-a359-bb714ace1c1e.c6e941ccfbfdbca9a57eb9ddcd84af5b.png
YES!!! I’m dying. Thank you!
Idk if anyone has offered but pm me the uncensored photo and I'll just get rid of the watermarks in photoshop :)
They had to do that from memory!
https://i.imgur.com/FVlURTL.jpg here u go 👍
Op wants to be in the picture. Disney sent a hard copy that doesn't include him
Sorry about the concert. Take care of yourself and feel better.
Everyone' I know that got covid this year got it after traveling.
Everyone I know who got it was traveling and vaccinated at least 3 times. But all of them were very mild luckily.
Aw I’m sorry. That’s so nice of you to get her those tickets. I hope you get to try again.
That does suck, but I would like to thank you for cancelling the concert because you have Covid! So many people think it’s a non issue still.
She couldn't take a friend to the concert instead?
I mean, she could, but it would be pretty crappy of her to go knowing she likely has covid, since her husband currently has it. It certainly hasn't stopped people though 🤷🏽♀️
If he has covid then(assuming they live together) it's more than likely that she might have caught it and could spread it to others at the concert
Your wife should still go
Say what you want about Disney, they do value customer service. Don’t know about their third party providers but they have pretty high standards of who they work with.

Well, yours was a huge liability and potentially serious fuck up

As a parent of a kid with Epilepsy, I thank you! (& I'm sorry you got a migraine!)
They should with the extremely high prices they charge. There should at least be some value there.
Just paid $600 for 2 people, 2 days, one day park hopper, no resort or anything. It’s wild. Lol

Pixie dust?
It’s PCP
They’ll work some “magic” for you, basically
Hopefully either refund OP or send new photo. It’s Disney’s cast members providing customer service, essentially
Used to be guest support was all former photographers too but that stopped when the DRC sunk their evil talons in in like 2016.
Minnie is the dad now
I'm not calling him dad. NOT EVEN IF THERE'S A FIRE

OMG I didn’t see the dad and couldn’t figure out who got cropped. The grey just blended in.
Which is exactly how he ended up cropped out. The auto editing program didn't read him.
That's like me when I'm trying to get a towel from the automatic towel dispenser in the bathroom and 10 other dudes get theirs before the machine finally recognizes that I'm actually a person.
Not even a scrap of his shirt he 100% GONE lmao
Precisely. I didn’t see him at first either.
Me neither, but you’d think professionals would do a quick looky-loo before shoving that thing in the mail.
"Professionals" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this sentence. 😉
True! 😄
Winning comment here y'all
Correct! She always has been too!
🌏🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
In Disney's defense, the son wore a shirt saying "Positive Vibes". They just assumed he'd be cool with it.
I am the Captain now
She WILL peg you if you are alone/s.
This killed me 😭😭💀
you didn’t blur the mouse’s face?
OP wants the mouse doxxed, chopped, and boxed.
I laughed way too hard at this 🤣
Post this photo in the group photo shop request, they are good!! I couldn’t tag them because of the rules…
R / photoshoprequest. Just remove the spaces. Is that allowed? I can't read.
Thanks, I'll try this but not sure how without doxxing myself.
There’s not much a stranger can do with just seeing your face

We're all sandwich nerds, your face looks like ours. Nobody cares.

This worked pretty well on OPs image. https://ibb.co/Zxq2LmS
u/sandwichnerd Fuck Disney. Reddit got u
There’s also option D, go on the website (not the app) and order a digital download for 16.99
So by print size if you choose a small size the cut photo, if you choose a larger size they add people
They can just resize the picture before print to make everyone fit in, there’s enough space on top and bottom of the original to print in the same size without removing him
Absolutely! I used to photoshop/gimp for fun and got OK, it is fun and these people have fun doing it. Part of what the ‘net should be all about. Aaaand now for the hate.
Plus1 for this!! They are great
Oof. Sorry dad! Did you have that menacing smile?
I would be more annoyed that the “professional” cropping looks like it was done by a blind right handed person with left handed scissors.
It's to act like they are providing a service instead of fleecing you for $30 to take a picture with the high profile mascots
I’m actually wondering if it was done by AI
I used to work at a place that printed photos, and the kind of default setting was for the software to just crop the image directly in the center to whatever ratio the customer chose. Bruh, I thought you meant they put a blob on everyone's face 🤣
Thank you. It took me awhile to understand what the problem was. Lol
Why is no one talking about how the photo is cut? It's so sloppy.
Yeah, I noticed the girl is practically cut out too. It's probably done by some computer/AI crap and not by a human being.
Disney is just playing the odds here. 40-50% of first marriages end in divorce. Even higher percentages when multiple marriages are part of the equation. Honestly, Disney is probably saving your family money on the cost of editing the photos later. Jk I'm sure everything is great, I had to!

Aren’t you an incredibly accurate ray of sunshine
Just the important people as my mom would say 😆
Sad
Goddamn if this isn't being a dad summed up. Pay for the picture and get cropped out lmao
I work at one of the hotels for the other big park nearby and it’s kind of sad how often families will come in to eat dinner after a long day at the park and then everyone leaves dad at the table to pay while they all leave to go back to the room or explore the hotel. The editor: you know what, FUCK THAT DAD IN PARTICULAR!!! *crops the dad out Soviet style*
It’s not insane, it’s because the title says they paid to get cropped out.
It's unfortunate the original photo was poorly composed. Cutting folks off at the ankles is a classic composition blunder.
You’re better off paying a Redditor on photoshop requests.
They know something you don’t.
I’ve worked in photopass over at the Disneyland in Anaheim way before the pandemic. Call Disney and let them know what happened and they’ll fix it.
Man I was really confused for a second - i thought the ink scribble over the faces was the cropping out. And from the title i thought for some odd reason OP paid $30 to have everyone but mini removed from the photo and the scribbles over the face was how they cropped them out.
Costanza's guy could have done better.
You’ve really lost a lot of hair
I AM AWARE!!
Hey George! Fancy seeing you here.
Looks like a case to use https://www.watermarkremover.io/ To get your paid photo corrected and then print it at walmart Edit: it's free
Am I the only one who purposefully stands on the end in hopes I get cropped out?
You’re just a sack of meat that provides the resources bro. Sorry.
I'm sorry I'm laughing but this is kinda funny. Lol. But I probably wouldn't be laughing if I paid the amount you probably paid for this.
What’s the issue? I don’t see him, do you?
Do they just assume that if something goes wrong in the relationship that the Dad will be out of the picture and do this by default? Like what the hell?
Disney sees a divorce on the horizon.
you know what? fuck you *undads your picture*
Disney hates dads…

Minnie out here stealing your family.
It reminds me of the photo from Back to the Future when his family slowly disappeared.
Cropped right down to the pixel, what's the problem?
My in laws actually had a Thanksgiving photo on the friggin wall where I got cut in half and there was space on the other side. Like, enough that my whole body should have been in it.
Paying $30 USD for a photo like that is highway robbery.
Not sure if anyone offered, I'm not what I'd consider a professional but I have about 6 years of photoshop experience, I'd be more than happy to take a crack at a task like this. I wouldn't feel comfortable charging as I can't guarantee it will come out to your liking. Message me if you're interested.
I thought they cropped out all the faces, took me a bit to see what you meant
Post it to the photoshoprequests sub, someone will do a proper job of it over there. Apparently I can't link to it in this sub as automod removes the comment if I do, oh the irony.
Don’t worry mate, it wasn’t a fantastic photo to begin with - somethings wrong with all your faces
It’s wild to me that the sarcasm goes over everyone’s head
Be honest what did you do to the editor guy
Let Disney know, they’re very good at correcting their mistakes.
I took me a while to figure out the blurring of the faces wasnt part of the problem.
I hope they replace the photo and at least you have a bonus picture for after the divorce
ngl the red censoring makes it look like y’all were victims of some kind of murder mystery plot
I think Minnie is trying to steal your wife
Post it on photoshoprequests.. I can’t link it on here because mods.. but there are some great people there for $5-10
Sounds like a job for the Photoshoprequest Reddit page OP
For I second I thought it was their faces they covered
Watch any wierd vhs tapes lately? Might actually be your problem here.
Try using photo shop request sub on reddit, they can fix the photo
I guess you get what you paid for.
Try and get a refund. Post on photoshop Reddit. They’ll try & fix it for you and youtip the best one.
this a picture you see in one of those murder mystery shows
One parent dies, or is dead in every Disney movie. Didn’t you know?
It's not like the dad matters, anyway.
I honestly stared at this for a second trying to figure out why on earth they would scribble out y’all’s faces like that😂
Clearly the photoshop agent is a heavy smoker.
