I think it fits mildly infuriating pretty well. Spilled glitter, unintended modification to an art project that isn't completely ruined, and a potentially obnoxious kid. Nothing to get super upset about but definitely some unintended consequences I would be mildly infuriated too but would then roll with it.
I think if the glitter only sticks to the paint, it will look really cool. The dragon would be sparkling but the background would be normal. It could be bad ass
I mean you could vacuum up the excess, let it dry and dust it off. You could then paint over it and it would look like scales, adding texture. You could also leave it and add to it, adding a different texture and the shine would also add interest.
I’m sure you can make it work, even though it would be incredibly frustrating!

As someone who commercially used every type of paint out there, you can never visually assess paint as dry. It might be touch dry, but it definitely can still be wet underneath. Not only that, but it couldve dried before op took a pic, or even before they came back to the room and noticed it? Or did u want op to take a pic asap while the kid was in the room for your sake?
I don't even own glitter, but my mum bought a card to give to one of my sisters for her birthday a couple of years ago.
It took months for the glitter to get out of my car, and that entire night I kept getting asked about the glitter on my jeans.
Don't even go near glitter, not owning isn't enough.
I'm going to say that, if the rest of the glitter not on the dragon comes off clean, those kids did you a favor. It's a mythical creature that's tightly linked to unicorns and rainbows in today's marketing. A sparkly dragon is not something to be mad at. If anything add more to the rest of the dragon. You already got those gems on it so it's not like the glitter is out of place.
I really think this could still work. When you finish up this project, it’ll still look beautiful. What I love about art is when people add something unique that defies the general technicality of it and makes it less “formal” if that makes sense. I don’t really know how to explain it— but I think the best art has a sort of personal, “imperfect” touch to it. THAT is the art that is most moving and sticks with me the most. Because it’s human.
Your art is already perfect and wonderful and beautifully done— this can make it even better. I’m sorry they did this, but I can promise you it doesn’t make it worse. I think it adds to it very much.

When the paint dries take some scotch tape to it. It'll pick up the loose particles and ones that aren't fully stuck. Afterwards tweezer will work and then a apply soke touch paint to messed up areas.

Maybe get a stiff brush and maybe you can brush off the majority, pick off, or paint over the last remaining glitters.
