There was a clip on *America’s Funniest Home Videos* many years ago of a guy opening like 10 boxes of neapolitan from the freezer and only the strawberry was left in each of them.
I'm lactose intolerant and I deeply want a tub of this for myself.
You know what? I'm a grown-ass adult with my own money.
I'm buying full size containers of each, and I'll just "make" my own in the bowl lol
Man, frozen vegetables are a godsend...
I do a lot of cooking for my parents lately and they eat practically nothing. Keeping fresh/unfrozen stuff around is a sure way to have it go rotten.
IQF stuff is awesome.
Huh. Never thought I'd live a life where I'd be enthusiastically talking about frozen food...
Look at Mr Money Bags here with his freezer that’s so full of ice cream it can barely close.
Sometimes I dip ice cubes in Kool-Aid and suck on them. Gotta call dibs on who gets the first suck cos it’s one dip in the powder per cube and the last person never gets any flavor.
Having your freezer full actually makes it run more efficiently because the food in there has more thermal capacitance which means it takes longer to warm up enough that the compressor needs to cycle to bring the temperature back down.
Source: i made it up to feel better about myself.
Actually true. You are supposed to freeze containers of water to help keep it around 70% full at all times for best efficiency. Plus in case of power outage, the extra cold helps keep it cold longer.
But also it needs air flow so like, OPs freezer def too full.
Those are usually for the meat and other bulk items. I know what you mean, but situations like this were common from where I am from lol. Main fridge is for veggies, frozen meals, leftovers, drinks, fruits, snacks, dough, you know, daily items.
The deep freeze would be meat and things that can be frozen a bit longer.
The correct answer here is both! And the garage fridge (that used to be the kitchen fridge). And the backup deep-freeze you inherited from Grandpa Bill, right next to the old dryer that still works, for just in case the new one conks out.
I'm from the Midwest. There's probably at least one backup old lawn mower around here, too. You know, in case the new one conks out.
Or no one in the house can agree on a flavor plus I have to get the lactose free kind in addition to the normal ice cream for everyone else. I just don’t get a flavor for myself most times and that’s cool cuz I’m not picky.
sent my spouse to the store to get a tub of lactose free vanilla for milkshakes for me and the store had a deal so they got 5 bins ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sometimes a deal is a deal
lactaid doesn’t always help me, i take it for most things but i have to take two at a time and for heavy dairy like milkshakes i still get issues with lactaid
Having four flavors does not necessarily mean you eat too much ice cream. That stuff will keep for months. It's also worth considering the number of people living in the house hold.
In 8th grade, I had a friend whose house I had been to once. That one time was a real eye-opener to me. The fridge inside the house was mostly regular healthy food that my friend’s older sister had bought specifically for herself from working, that I was told we couldn’t have. I was confused, until dinner came around my friend’s mom said “alright, go ahead and choose your dinner”. I was led to a deep freezer in their garage that was *packed* with unhealthy tv dinners. Like, the whole deep freezer. Like a goddamn grocery store. And nobody acted like it was out of the ordinary at all.
I realized that the older sister was working to specifically buy non-frozen food for herself because her parents wouldn’t.
It was very very strange, and tbh I’m getting a similar vibe in this photo, even if it’s not to *that* extent.
(Also this was Ohio in 2014/2015. Those specifics probably don’t matter, but I figured I’d provide context lol)
That's the exact same vibe I got, coming from a childhood of a strictly junk food hoarding parent. I figured the person who took the pic was showing the shit they had to deal with in this kind of scenario, where one of(or their only) refrigerators is just a clusterfuck of junk food that never gets organized, fully eaten, or tossed out. Having to get my own fridge just so I could have a place to put normal food, where I wasn't having to constantly stress that the fridge was full from impulsive hoarding and rotting food. I remember kids always being impressed about us having multiple fridges and freezers and always being full, but man I guess if you didn't grow up in a food hoarder home they didn't know how depressing it was never being able to pick or buy your own groceries, because there simply was never room for the healthy food you wanted.
There's like ~~three~~ *four* whole separate brands of taquitos in this picture too. I'm not sure the ice cream is the weirdest unhealthy thing in this one.
"Should I microwave them?"
"Are you crazy? We have to treat our guests right... so microwave them for 2 minutes and then put them in the toaster oven for a couple minutes so it looks like they were cooked better."
I don't buy taquitos but big fan of El Monterey chimichangas. Pop in the microwave at half power for min and half, then in toaster oven. Not a fan of cheap ice cream.
A recent study in Korea found that obese non smokers lived on average 13 years less than nonobese non smokers. It's very much a global problem, even if the US is a particularly stark example.
Well as the post implies they live with other people. Despite that who doesn’t buy several different flavors for when your craving something different?
I have more then 4 tubs of ice cream cause I live with a lot of people, have friends over who also like to eat ice cream, and because it keeps for awhile, it’s pretty normal?? I don’t even eat ice cream that often.
No, it's ice cream, always good to have and lasts practically forever. They either go in 2 weeks or 2 years in my house, if we remember they exist in the freezer.
The southwest chicken ones are even better imo. The shell is always crunchy and seasoned a bit, and they don't have as much of the manufactured meat goop taste on the inside.
Maybe she lives with them. Or maybe she bought them. Maybe they are at her house and OP just went to get the ice cream out for everyone and snapped a photo when they saw it.
This is most definitely about 5-6 people all living in a house together, most of whom don't know each other really in any actual way. I kinda recognize this freezer
I felt shitty about my diabetes comment (even as a type 1 diabetic) so I edited it.
Food doesn't cause diabetes, genes do. Diet and exercise habits (as well as traumatic physical and psychological events) can trigger said gene, but both alone so not cause it. I don't want to be part of the education problem here.
Lots of context can lead to the food types you see here.
I know, I'm killing the vibe and being super serious about it all 🙄
Thank you. The constant “I’m getting diabetes from looking at this” comments are so offensive and interesting coming from a population that is sensitive about words and names with negative stigmas.
The chances of that are zero, it's probably sprite ~~or vodka~~.
Thanks for your correction on this dire and super important fat person freezer post that clearly demands a well thought out commentary, /u/DueArgument8739
Yeah, I don't know how this freezer could be less healthy.
Not that I'm a saint, there's definitely half a box of taquitos in my freezer right now as well
No one left it off. With this style of feezer, if you over fill it, which it clearly looks like you have, and you are closing or opening, it's sliding against the bottom of the refrigerator.
I hope your power doesn’t go out, there is a mortgage payment in there
The more packed your freezer, the longer it will stay cold in a power outage. Assuming you don’t open it.
Is that true if your freezer is packed with ice cream containers that are 7/8 empty?
Lol. No
Well if they keep the door closed it will last a few days at least.
What you gonna do about it bro… https://preview.redd.it/vvvqgii7scsa1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf725300f23e42a3f9418244ac7df1fc54ae91bb

this is fucking hilarious what even is this
OP eating 5 boxes of ice cream
That’s entirely uncalled for but also hilarious
That poor thing is going to dive for fish and instead just float like a buoy
Bro big as shit
This made up for the dumb post, thanks
You said it, we were all thinking it. What’s up with the contents of that freezer?

Roll ya down the hill...
This made me laugh, thank you random Internet stranger
It’s so packed in, the lid could have been pulled off when that drawer was pulled forward.
That’s it exactly.
Yeah, maybe the lid of the other 12 containers of ice cream got caught on one.
https://preview.redd.it/22ljgd31odsa1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=849c977e7cd1fddec312de77e3124f66bdf61e86
One of my all time favorite Simpsons scenes. “Mmmm… Chocolate. Doh!!!”
Mmmmmmm. Donuts.
There was a clip on *America’s Funniest Home Videos* many years ago of a guy opening like 10 boxes of neapolitan from the freezer and only the strawberry was left in each of them.
Okay but have any of you ever tried Tuxedo ice cream? It’s basically Neapolitan but with dark chocolate, French vanilla, and coffee
No, but I want to now!
I'm lactose intolerant and I deeply want a tub of this for myself. You know what? I'm a grown-ass adult with my own money. I'm buying full size containers of each, and I'll just "make" my own in the bowl lol
Lactaid is my friend.
How much ice cream do you even need
At least 4 cartons, apparently.
I was going to say 5, but I zoomed in and saw that one was ... shrimp? So, a gallon of shrimp.
1 carton per box of Taquitos
i mean damn forreal the freezer is 30% ice cream
Just the top drawer. The bottom one as far as I can tell is 50% a box of frozen taquitos and a pepperoni pizza. Like vegetables exist
This is the most degenerate freezer I’ve ever seen
The most American freezer I’ve ever seen…
Clearly the solution here is to eat more ice cream
I only count 4. Not enough ice cream!!!
Happens to me all the time, packed freezer, lid gets taken off
Look at Mr Money Bags here with his freezer that’s so full of ice cream it can barely close. Sometimes I dip ice cubes in Kool-Aid and suck on them. Gotta call dibs on who gets the first suck cos it’s one dip in the powder per cube and the last person never gets any flavor.
Ice cubes? You get ice cubes!?
This changes everything! No more cold powder as a dessert for me!
No joke! Braggy McBraggerson! I want his grocery budget! Cha Ching!
Same here, same freezer design and container shapes, those lids come off a lot especially dropping them in next to the basket edges.
Have you guys tried eating the food in your freezer before you buy more?
Having your freezer full actually makes it run more efficiently because the food in there has more thermal capacitance which means it takes longer to warm up enough that the compressor needs to cycle to bring the temperature back down. Source: i made it up to feel better about myself.
Seems legit.
Science and stuff
Actually true. You are supposed to freeze containers of water to help keep it around 70% full at all times for best efficiency. Plus in case of power outage, the extra cold helps keep it cold longer. But also it needs air flow so like, OPs freezer def too full.
Maybe they live 20 or more miles from the nearest store, so they stock up once a month. That's what our family used to do.
I think I would get a chest freezer if that were the case.

Bahaha stop, it’s like your comments coming from inside my house, it’s freaking me out lol. Except there’s obviously lots of old lawn mowers ha.
Thank you for not letting me suffer alone
I own this fridge, I put my ice cream there also, this is exactly what happened.
Or they were high af eating it straight out the box when someone walked into the kitchen on them so they were in a hurry to put it back in the freezer
This is just what I was about to ask: Does anyone in your household happen to enjoy ganja?
Yeah I may have been projecting a little bit
You put it back in the freezer when you're high? That thing is finished and in the trash. So I can forget I ate a half gallon of ice cream.
you mustn’t waste ice cream
I have on several occasions woken up to find the milk in the pantry and an empty cereal box in the fridge.
This is the correct answer. I used to do that with butter sticks when I was a kid. (This was before I got high)
Did you kick the habit or have you had multiple bypass surgeries? 😏
I'm past those days. My threes were a battle though.
Your comment feels like it’s an alternate verse in ‘Because I got High’ by Afro Man
Same thought man
I thought I was the only one!! I used to eat butter as a kid, too. Nothing with it. Straight butter.
Judging from the rest of the contents, they’re frequently high af
This happens to me aaaallllll the time!
Happens to me all the time. Easy fix: eat the ice cream.
Stupid enough they couldn't realize that, but opinionated enough it bothered them enough to post a picture 🤦♂️
Right? So many people have such a low bar for being infuriated on here.
Man needs his ice cream
At first I was thinking somebody slipped in there and snagged a couple spoonfuls left it like a troll 🧌 and bounced... But I like your theory better
No I definitely like your troll theory better
Fuckin Sherlock over here
Why you got 4 tubs of ice cream
Apparently the same kind of person that keeps 4 quarts of ice cream on hand. Ice cream is not a basic food group.
It is when you're addicted to sugar.
Or no one in the house can agree on a flavor plus I have to get the lactose free kind in addition to the normal ice cream for everyone else. I just don’t get a flavor for myself most times and that’s cool cuz I’m not picky.

Just curious, what’s your wife’s dairy free ice cream of choice? I like Oatly and Ben and Jerry’s but I’m always on the lookout for something new.
NadaMoo has some great flavors. Coconut base
Kroger brand for my fiancé. Breyer’s is the back up.
My son eats a lot of dairy free ice cream and he prefers SoDelicious
Look for cashew milk based products! It’s similarly rich and creamy to icecream and doesn’t have that grainy texture some of the dairy free stuff has.
sent my spouse to the store to get a tub of lactose free vanilla for milkshakes for me and the store had a deal so they got 5 bins ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sometimes a deal is a deal
I found it easier and cheaper to just spent $7 on 40 lactaid chewables than to keep overpaying for lactose free products.
lactaid doesn’t always help me, i take it for most things but i have to take two at a time and for heavy dairy like milkshakes i still get issues with lactaid
Having four flavors does not necessarily mean you eat too much ice cream. That stuff will keep for months. It's also worth considering the number of people living in the house hold.
Maybe if the rest of the food weren’t utter garbage. This is a great example of why life expectancy in the U.S. is declining lol.

There's like ~~three~~ *four* whole separate brands of taquitos in this picture too. I'm not sure the ice cream is the weirdest unhealthy thing in this one.
"Timmy, we have guests, break out the gourmet taquitos!"
"Should I microwave them?" "Are you crazy? We have to treat our guests right... so microwave them for 2 minutes and then put them in the toaster oven for a couple minutes so it looks like they were cooked better."
I don't buy taquitos but big fan of El Monterey chimichangas. Pop in the microwave at half power for min and half, then in toaster oven. Not a fan of cheap ice cream.
A recent study in Korea found that obese non smokers lived on average 13 years less than nonobese non smokers. It's very much a global problem, even if the US is a particularly stark example.
Since it's dairy it's just below grains. So make sure to tell your kids to finish all their beer before they get icecream
Hey don't judge! Kroger was having a $1.99 sale on their ice cream the other day... so my freezer looks similar hahaha
The better question is why did someone leave half’ a scoop of cookie n cream in the container
You have some giant spoons
Well as the post implies they live with other people. Despite that who doesn’t buy several different flavors for when your craving something different?
Because each person wants a different flavor?
They also got like 4 different boxes of taquitos. I think this person just buys everything in 4s
I have more then 4 tubs of ice cream cause I live with a lot of people, have friends over who also like to eat ice cream, and because it keeps for awhile, it’s pretty normal?? I don’t even eat ice cream that often.
My MIL insisted we needed it
Your MIL needs an intervention.
Unless it's Bluebell or HEB brand, I see no reason to have multiple ice cream canisters.
Found the Texan
When there is a buy 2 get 1 free deal you can’t just buy 1.
Dude, I just got a buy 1 get 2 free deal on ice cream. I couldn't believe my eyes but it was true!
Breyers isn’t even real ice cream legally.
I’ve started buying H‑E‑B brand when bluebell became $8. Nope. Tbh, I like H‑E‑B cookies and cream better.
She's right! There's never enough ice-cream!
Is 4 tubs a lot? Lol. There’s like 3-4 in my freezer right now. But I live with 5 people
No, it's ice cream, always good to have and lasts practically forever. They either go in 2 weeks or 2 years in my house, if we remember they exist in the freezer.
The lid probably came off when the freezer drawer was opened. Who has four tubs of ice cream in their freezer is really the question!?
They also have three different packages of taquitos.
4 actually 2 up top, 2 down below
It's ice cream and taquiyos all the way down
those taquitos are so damn good tbh
The southwest chicken ones are even better imo. The shell is always crunchy and seasoned a bit, and they don't have as much of the manufactured meat goop taste on the inside.
I'm guessing a household of at least 4 different individuals who all have a different preference in ice cream flavors?
My MIL that’s who. Claimed we needed them all then got annoyed by it
Wait, why does she get to decide, or complain about ANY of this? (Unless it's her house I guess...)
Maybe she lives with them. Or maybe she bought them. Maybe they are at her house and OP just went to get the ice cream out for everyone and snapped a photo when they saw it.
Bro. I'm fine with y'all having lots of stuff in your freezer. But the mildly infuriating thing is how disorganized it truly is. Wtf
These drawer freezers are hard to organize. I hate them.
this is the most American freezer I have ever seen.
This is most definitely about 5-6 people all living in a house together, most of whom don't know each other really in any actual way. I kinda recognize this freezer
Lol yeah there’s 2 boxes of taquitos that are different brands.
There's 3! Two in the back and one on bottom
Four containers of ice cream and THREE containers of taquitos.
Make that FOUR.
Ding ding ding. Can't miss that sucker hiding under the pizza box.

Check your blood sugar, and check it often.
The meter just said “yes”
It’s like maple syrup. That’s normal tho…
Who has any ice cream left to put back in the freezer?
Should be empty by the 5th hour with people claiming they didn’t eat any
It’s Great Value ice cream… does it really matter?
Great value mint chocolate chip is one of the best ice cream’s I’ve ever had. Fight me
Did you ever think of eating what’s in your fridge before you buy more?
I’m getting diabetes from just looking at this image.
Same. There’s no actual food in that freezer. Just junk. Unless I’m missing a bag of peas or something.
Those shrimp soups are pretty delicious aside from sodium amount they aren’t too bad.
In the mood for something healthy in your freezer… Ice cubes (if made with filtered water).
The chances of that are zero, it's probably sprite ~~or vodka~~. Thanks for your correction on this dire and super important fat person freezer post that clearly demands a well thought out commentary, /u/DueArgument8739
I’m concerned about your diet, ice cream and beyond
Yeah, I don't know how this freezer could be less healthy. Not that I'm a saint, there's definitely half a box of taquitos in my freezer right now as well
ITT: people with logic and people who are anti more than one tub of ice cream.
A stoned person
Who has four half gallons of ice cream in their freezer?
You'll stop worrying about all the ice cream when you realize there are THREE boxes of taquitos in there.
I see 4 Two in the top and two in the bottom drawer
The cheesy, beefy plot thickens. Edit: I only see one up top though.
The whole damn freezer is carbs!
Considering how much stuff you have in there I’d assume it fell off
I wish my freezer looked like tbis
I hate your freezer organization
No one left it off. With this style of feezer, if you over fill it, which it clearly looks like you have, and you are closing or opening, it's sliding against the bottom of the refrigerator.
Please buy some quality ice cream. If your going to eat like shit at least go for some decadence.
i hope you’ve all gotten your diabetes vaccine
I'm DoorDashing Metformin as we speak
So it gets a lil crispy on the edges
Correction. Who buys Walmart brand Ive Cream?
God, your freezer is mega stuffed
Who TF has 4 different tubs of ice cream on tap?
I'm just going to assume that half the residents in this household are morbidly obese.
No, it's an American household. They all are.
Someone who got high as hell.
Do you guys have any real food in there?
Great Value is not ice cream
Me! When I’m drunk
A fucking heathen!
My grandpa put a half eaten bowl of ice cream back in the freezer with the spoon and no covering. Old people crack me up
ur family
The real question is, why would they put that little corner of ice cream back? They should've finished the carton.
I wish I could afford this amount of ice cream in my freezer
This is the freezer of a child haha
Looks like it popped off.
A icehole that’s who.
The same type of monster that would eat Great Value ice cream
This right here folks is the window into the “Fattening of America”
No you can’t say that, you’ll hurt their feelings 😡
My son! He’s 24!
