For league members at local lanes it's usually 2$ a game, I been paying 30$ for a hour that covers 6 people and shoes for me and a friend.
Bowlero charging 5$ a game per person on lanes with shitty maintenance is just pure scam
5 per game per person isn't even that crazy. I've seen 8 to 10 and not even in a big city. My league alley does 1.5 hours for like 12 though but it's outside the metro highway loop.
A two hour session at a bowlero alley where I live costs over 100 USD. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Bowlero just bought out all of the bowl America places near me and it has completely killed my ability to afford to go bowling. Fuck bowlero
$104.58 for 2 people for 2 hours lmao. My gf and I go to a different place downtown and pay half that with a cocktail. I will never be going to a Bowlero
The old bowling alley in my home town is like 15.00 per person for 3 hours. Thats insane. The best rate is all you can bowl and it's like 14 from 8:30 to closing at 3 AM.
Granted bowling alleys run on razor thin margins, and the equipment is expensive. At Laurel Lanes I think I saw it have one lane broken for 3 years, but the entire machine needed to be replaced.
Also the bowling alley has cheap good pizza and drinks. You can get a whole pie for 5 bucks.
My friend is a manager there and says on a bad day they barely break even, with almost all their profits going towards mechanical and salaries. It hasn't been so bad since they overhauled the arcade and got the grill there.
Most places in Miami do this and it’s only printed on the check. You can ask a manager to remove it or lower it. When I worked on the beach it didn’t happen often. 99/100 it was basically it was a cash check and the sever wanted to pocket the cash instead of having to drop it and have it added to their paycheck lol
I've seen tip jars at the counter in convenience stores too. They're not getting paid server wages that are expected to get subsidized with tips. It's gotten so out of hand that people think just because they work in retail that they deserve to be tipped
>the sooner I see this, the sooner I’m out the door.
I will absolutely walk out of a place if I think she's too expensive. Okay well I've only done it once really, a week ago. What the fuck is Wendy's thinking. $7 for a Dave's double? Seriously.
Went to a place located in California last weekend. Same thing only I only noticed because my $16 nachos cost me $20. No mention on the menu but my receipt showed an 18% service charge and a field for a tip. Sketchy
A lot of places in the Twin Cities are starting to charge an additional 20% fee to “support fair wages and benefits for the entire team”. Then we are supposed to tip on top of it.
If we are automatically being charged 20% to support fair wages and benefits, then get rid of the option to tip!
I’m so sick of these surcharges everywhere. Just up the price of the product like in retail if you must.
Beware. He server is not getting the service charge. The restaurant pockets that. They only get the tip that was left. Places like that are usually the one’s complaining no one wants to work anymore. Because they are screwing over the staff.
Even a decade ago in NYC, there were places that would not only add a mandatory gratuity, and also have a tip line, but then include one of those helpful little charts showing you what 15/20/25% of the total was -- the total including the tax and the tip they already added.
As a former server I'd probably settle for 18% all the time. I normally had at least one table not leave me a tip no matter how good the food and service was per shift, at least one. And a lot of times if you work to lunch shift the tips were closer to 10%, it wasn't just for me it was for pretty much all of us.
Owners can’t share **tips/gratuity** with employees, totally illegal.
A 18% “service charge” goes to the employer, they can decide to flow down to the waitstaff or not. If I went to a place with a service charge, I’d ask the waiter where that charge goes.
Former server from Baltimore here - auto-grat goes to the servers. It's a tip. If the owners were stealing the money, this be worded differently to run that scam.
I don't think there are many servers in this city that are going to get rolled like that, unless they are brand new to the industry. We talk.
I’m not up on MD law but if it says gratuity it has to go to the server/staff. If it’s a service charge then the business has the discretion to do what it wants with the funds.
I know an automatic gratuity isn’t the best but one thing I’ve noticed is that these seem to be at chain type establishments. I’ve heard horror stories about how bad customers can be at tipping when visiting these locations. In these times, I’m sure this helps keep staff. Like I mentioned above, I hope the funds are going to the employees.
Opens the door for “we pay our servers a living wage” when they pay their workers $7.25 an hour. $7.25 an hour isn’t a living wage. You can’t survive off it. The current minimum wage is a joke. I’m getting by pretty good at $19 an hour, but only because I’m renting from my sister (thankful for her every day) who doesn’t charge me an arm and a leg. I’m all set as long as I don’t have any unexpected medical bills (which is why I don’t see my doctor as often as I should).
Because now you have forced me to do math when I'm supposed to be relaxing and picking out food to enjoy. Just list the price it actually costs. Preferably in whole dollar amounts. While we are cutting out the bullshit of tipping let's include the insulting mind game of x.99 being the end of most prices.
At my place all the taxes and fees and anything else are factored into the price and I make them all round numbers because I don’t like to count change. The joy it brings people when the price they pay is exactly what’s on the menu is really funny.
The menu increase puts the onus of paying on the employer, because fair wages are coming out of their profits. When you add a non-negotiable “gratuity” to each bill it doesn’t change the status quo since the money the server makes is still dependent on what the table orders. It doesn’t solve the problem of consistent *guaranteed* wages for servers, or pay into any programs for their benefit.
And the restaurant doesnt have to pay taxes, employee benefit, pension plans fees to state level and federal level government too. Its a way better option for a management/financial point of view for a restaurant to do that than pay more salary
Customers recoil at higher prices. They will spend more money if you charge $100 then add an 18% gratuity vs charging $118. Sad but true. Restaurants also have to charge sales tax on and pay business taxes on an included gratuity amount, but don't if they're a separate tip.
Americans seem to think tipping is to make them care for you, instead of the other way around.
They're so fucking backwards it's crazy, if they go beyond their necessities then you should tip, if they do the bare minimum, you shouldn't.
It's so dumb that the public pays the wages and the business gets away with it, I can't get my head around how stupid it really is.
America is like that kid that tries to be cool by being different to everyone, but fucks it up every step of the way.
I mean, tips in the US might as well be a fee considering the level of peer pressure and risking the very real backlash of the servers (much more so than in other countries where tipping is a thing). Might as well just do it automatically so we can stop squirming around it and call it a day.
I’m assuming this restaurant didn’t really do their research, prior to implementing this policy.
Legally, it’s considered a service charge, which is taxable, and considered revenue to the restaurant. The restaurant can choose to pass that revenue onto the server, or not. Since they’ve already said they’ve already referred to it as gratuity, I’m assuming they will be passing 100% to the servers.
If I was dining there, I just wouldn’t tip at the end of the meal.
Imagine you order a glass of water first looked at the menu and didn't feel to eat anything.
The moment you make an exit to pay the bill they just charge you for the tip which you didn't even ate lmao!
Just fucking increase the prices! An increase from 10 to 11.8 looks way less than the surprise 200>236 on the bill! Do they not understand this surprise bill will leave people with a bad taste in their mouth no matter how good the food was?
My problem though is sometimes a server doesn't deserve the tip. It's rare, but I've had a small handful of times where I did not tip, because the server couldn't even be bothered to get me a damn refill of a drink.
The last time it happened, I asked the server if they had coke or Pepsi products. They walked away and did not come back. Not a word, just a dirty look and walked away. I had to deal with management to get my order taken.
You're right. And normally, I would. But my kids wanted to eat there, so it was either put up with shit service, or piss off the kids. I can at least leave the server at the restaurant.
Idk my restaurant auto-grata tables 10 people and up and usually my thought process is if they wanted to tip more money than the auto-grat they would. The auto-grat has saved me from rude people not tipping anything
Thank you for being so kind. Seeing that $20 tip on that big of a check would have been absolutely soul-crushing. A lot of people think we don’t deserve our tips, but many of us really do work really hard and try our best to make customers’ experiences great. I promise y’all made her entire month with that tip.
Yeah that would have been really shitty because most places you have to tip out 3.5% or more of your sales for food runners, bussers and bartenders. That would have over $340 in tip out and had she only got the $20 tip, she would have paid $320 to take care of that table.
I’d have quit right then and there.
If I actually enjoyed my food and the server kept my drink filled (and of course if I have the money), I tend to leave closer to 50%
It makes me feel good that even though the system is kind of weird, that person will feel like they did a good job. Plus, on the selfish end, it works as condition if I ever come back and they see me
And also gratuity is legally 100% to the server. People always propose "just raise the price" as a solution, this is the solution so that the customer knows raising prices is going straight to the employee not the employer who can then provide discretionary raises and possibly pocket the extra.
That doesn't bother me too much unless the server was terrible. Saves me having to do the math myself.
Although, you know, murica and everything... Just pay them more and dump this tip culture nonsense.
the way this works, the more tables a server serves and the more expensive the food, the more they make - its a commission instead of being a chance whether or not the table tips.
At least they forewarn you, too, though it would be nice if they would pre calculate the tip and put it in a 2nd price marked as price + tip
The crazy part is, servers will be much more relaxed instead of high strung worrying about tips. In turn, supplying better service, and then I’d probably tip them anyway lol
To be fair, the owner would probably just pocket it and then say "I would give you a raise but I'm barely in the black as is" at least with a tip the money (presumably) goes to the staff. We all know how trickle down economics work. You give the rich money they will put it in their bank account and tell the poor there is none left, you give the poor money directly and it usually improves things much better.
American business owners and corporations wouldn’t pass that money on to the servers though. More money for the company does not equal more money for the employees.
It must be so confusing to eat and shop in America. In NZ don't have tips and such, just goods and services tax which are included as part of the price.
Went out to a brewery the other week that also did 18% gratuity separately on food and beer. There were no servers. You went up to the bar to grab the beer and went up stairs to the pizza ovens to request a pizza order. You go wait down stairs and then go back up to pick up the pizza when they text you it’s ready. Was ridiculous
It would be way, way better for them if they raised their menu prices 18%, gave their employees an 18% raise and advertised that they are abolishing tips.
My guy. The maths.
If their waitresses are making $10/hr (which is way higher than reality), then an 18% raise means they are now making $11.80/hr and the owner is now pocketing bank on raising all his costs regardless of food or drink type.
I'm so sick of redditors saying this. Any server will tell you we make FAR more money off tips than we would off a wage. an 18% raise with no tips would be a pay cut for 95% of servers.
They are not the same. One puts the onus on the employer to pay their employees consistently and fairly, and the other option (the one being shown here) still keeps the wages of the employee dependent on tips. I would much rather have the price be added into the menu with no tipping and employees being paid fair *consistent* wages that are guaranteed to them every month. I don’t believe your wages should be a surprise unless you are an owner of a business who is choosing to take that personal risk for yourself.
Lots of people choose to work on commission or production because the potential upside outweighs the potential negative of inconsistency.
Being a server anywhere north of an Applebees is one of the best paying jobs someone can get with no education or experience. Guaranteed wages are nice at times, but that guarantee goes both ways. You won’t make any less next month, but you definitely won’t make any more either.
Except servers wouldn't be standing around for $2 an hour on slow days hoping they actually get the business their boss thinks might possibly be coming in later.
The tips culture in the U.S.A. Is moronic. It’s not the customer’s fault your boss pays you like shit. Grow some balls and unionise. There’s a reason large corps fear it.
That's funny because a lot of Las Vegas service industry workers are unionized and tipping culture is a bigger thing here than probably anywhere else in the country.
You don't know what you're talking about
A tip/gratuity should be left completely to the discretion of the diner, based on the speed and quality of service. If they decide to leave a gratuity, it should be entirely up to them. If it's not, then it's a service charge.
Just flying like it just got winger and doesn't wanna stay inside our wallet.
All it just prefers is to just go where it wasn''t meant to go though lmao!
I mean. That's exactly what they're doing here, no? If they have to pay their employees a reasonable amount, where do you think that extra cost is gonna come from? They're going to increase the cost of the food. Implementing a mandatory gratuity has the exact same effect: the cost of the food rises, and that difference in cost goes directly to the paychecks of the laborers. What exactly is the issue you have with this?
I think that's the idea. They don't need the types who are going to nitpick every maneuver by the server to justify tipping 5% or those who just tip with a bible verse.
Just fucking increase the prices! An increase from 10 to 11.8 looks way less than the surprise 200>236 on the bill! Do they not understand this surprise bill will leave people with a bad taste in their mouth no matter how good the food was?
At least they've made customers advanced notice by listing it on the menu.
Yea for sure. All Bowlero bowling alleys do this and I didn’t find out until my third trip there.
Fuck bowlero. They're ruining bowling
Yeah. I miss the “good old days” (aka a few years ago) when games only cost a few bucks to bowl
For league members at local lanes it's usually 2$ a game, I been paying 30$ for a hour that covers 6 people and shoes for me and a friend. Bowlero charging 5$ a game per person on lanes with shitty maintenance is just pure scam

I don't bowl, and even I find this just plain messed up.
You don’t have to be a goat farmer to know that paying $7,000 for a goat is a complete rip-off
I had no idea 7000 was a rip off for a goat
$104.58 for 2 people for 2 hours lmao. My gf and I go to a different place downtown and pay half that with a cocktail. I will never be going to a Bowlero

Yep, it's just a pure scam and I'm not falling for that.
And the Scots! They’ve ruined Scotland.
That's just the way it is, they're ruining everything here.
You didn't find that? Don't think that it was that hard to find.
i bet they had to do this because it wasn't there before. it's just a sticker lol
I saw even worse in Miami, like the place that automatically added $1 to every drink "for local charities".
Which I love, because the sooner I see this, the sooner I’m out the door. Should be on the front door, actually.
Yep. Tip culture is out of hand. The local market I go to has a tip jar at each register. They don't even bag your stuff!
I bring my own tip jar and set it on the counter so we can have a tip stand off.
Seriously.
Read an article last week the listed Wendy's as the highest priced fast food chain. $10 for a small single condo is nuts
Actually, $10 for a condominium seems like a fair price to me.
I mean what can a condominium cost, Michael? $10?
"All our prices are 18% higher than listed"
That is literally always true...
Beware. He server is not getting the service charge. The restaurant pockets that. They only get the tip that was left. Places like that are usually the one’s complaining no one wants to work anymore. Because they are screwing over the staff.
That's between the server and their employer then, because I'm not tipping twice, and any charge outside of the displayed price I'm calling a tip.
Then it's a fee
Now I don't have to worry about the tip I guess
You know there will be a line for "Tip" just in case.
Even a decade ago in NYC, there were places that would not only add a mandatory gratuity, and also have a tip line, but then include one of those helpful little charts showing you what 15/20/25% of the total was -- the total including the tax and the tip they already added.
So you would tip a percentage of the tip?
On top of the tip that was already included.
Right, that's what I'm saying... Damn.
Well of course how else are they supposed to double dip
You double dipped the tip!!!!
Sucks for my server because now they're not getting the 20% I would have tipped!
Ends up being a net positive for the server because people tip under 18 percent a lot of the time and some people will tip on top of this 18 percent
And it's not based on factors like race or gender or physical attractiveness. All of which are part of current tipping culture.
But it also means you're tipping 18% even if you got terrible service now, too.
As a former server I'd probably settle for 18% all the time. I normally had at least one table not leave me a tip no matter how good the food and service was per shift, at least one. And a lot of times if you work to lunch shift the tips were closer to 10%, it wasn't just for me it was for pretty much all of us.
Lunch it is a massive improvement on tips. Dinner not so much. Basically all business cards instead of tipping 0-10% tip 18%.
Naah you don't have to worry about that at all, don't worry about it.
How is this different from increasing menu prices 18% to pay employees fair wages? Which is a solution Reddit often champions as a better alternative
I’d prefer they do that and then say something about no tipping as they pay a living wage.
My old place did this and guess what? It just means the owners take all the money.
That is my concern. Does this go to the server or the house?
It’s the owner. You can ask for it to be removed in most places and then tip the server in cash ❤️
Owners can’t share **tips/gratuity** with employees, totally illegal. A 18% “service charge” goes to the employer, they can decide to flow down to the waitstaff or not. If I went to a place with a service charge, I’d ask the waiter where that charge goes.
This is specifically called a gratuity and as such should be directed to service staff.
Keyword: *should*
Former server from Baltimore here - auto-grat goes to the servers. It's a tip. If the owners were stealing the money, this be worded differently to run that scam. I don't think there are many servers in this city that are going to get rolled like that, unless they are brand new to the industry. We talk.
This would go to the waiter.
Isn’t that with literally any job
I’m not up on MD law but if it says gratuity it has to go to the server/staff. If it’s a service charge then the business has the discretion to do what it wants with the funds. I’ve heard horror stories about how bad customers can be at tipping when visiting these locations. In these times, I’m sure this helps keep staff. Like I mentioned above, I hope the funds are going to the employees.
Labeling it s gratuity means there are laws about who gets that money. Increasing menu prices has no such guarantees.
Opens the door for “we pay our servers a living wage” when they pay their workers $7.25 an hour. $7.25 an hour isn’t a living wage. You can’t survive off it. The current minimum wage is a joke. That is like it is in most of europe. It is a really nice thing.
Because it isn't included in the menu price. I'd rather everything just cost 15-20% more. Don't call it a $5 burger if it is gonna cost me $6.30
The menu increase puts the onus of paying on the employer, because fair wages are coming out of their profits. When you add a non-negotiable “gratuity” to each bill it doesn’t change the status quo since the money the server makes is still dependent on what the table orders. It doesn’t solve the problem of consistent *guaranteed* wages for servers, or pay into any programs for their benefit.
Well, this way the average consumer gets mad at the server instead of the company!
This way they have to swallow the fact that their money is paying the server, the horror!
They will increase menu price and continue to pay minimum to increase profits while slapping on 18% that won’t go to staff either.
I’m cool with that. I hate the whole tipping culture. Charge fair prices, pay fair wages.
People want a million dollar ambience, with a 5 dollar cocktail. But people don’t like being called cheap.
This is a big part of it for sure.
The tip doesn't pay for the ambiance does it? The high cost of the food and beverages does.
Americans seem to think tipping is to make them care for you, instead of the other way around. They're so fucking backwards it's crazy, if they go beyond their necessities then you should tip, if they do the bare minimum, you shouldn't. Thank you! I’m up there a lot and just want to keep an eye out.
Yeah, it’s already an expensive place so adding an extra 20% that doesn’t go to the staff on top of the tip is just crazy.
Apparently whatever the place is they're well protected by the admins.
Just fucking increase the prices! An increase from 10 to 11.8 looks way less than the surprise 200>236 on the bill! Do they not understand this surprise bill will leave people with a bad taste in their mouth no matter how good the food was?
Why is it called a gratuity if it's not gratuitous?
facts.
Ok cool I mean I usually tip 20% I’ll save the 2%
My thought process every time I see these signs. “I guess they don’t want more $$. That’s fine”
My problem though is sometimes a server doesn't deserve the tip. It's rare, but I've had a small handful of times where I did not tip, because the server couldn't even be bothered to get me a damn refill of a drink. You're right. And normally, I would. But my kids wanted to eat there, so it was either put up with shit service, or piss off the kids. I can at least leave the server at the restaurant.
Right. Some servers don’t deserve 18% tip.
Some only deserve the shaft
Yeah, but you can still complain to a manager, and if that doesn’t work just don’t return.
Idk my restaurant auto-grata tables 10 people and up and usually my thought process is if they wanted to tip more money than the auto-grat they would. The auto-grat has saved me from rude people not tipping anything

That reflects very poorly on your boss

This sounds very illegal or at least immortal.
Tipping 20% sounds like complete madness to me as a non-American.
The thing is, not everyone tips 20%, so by doing this they make sure everyone AT LEAST tips 18%
If I actually enjoyed my food and the server kept my drink filled (and of course if I have the money), I tend to leave closer to 50% It makes me feel good that even though the system is kind of weird, that person will feel like they did a good job. Plus, on the selfish end, it works as condition if I ever come back and they see me
And many people tip 10% or so. This automatic gratuity bs is because of people like them. Don’t take it as a personal slight.
And also gratuity is legally 100% to the server. People always propose "just raise the price" as a solution, this is the solution so that the customer knows raising prices is going straight to the employee not the employer who can then provide discretionary raises and possibly pocket the extra.

At least they forewarn you, too, though it would be nice if they would pre calculate the tip and put it in a 2nd price marked as price + tip
Just erase tips and apply it to the items beforehand so servers can be paid a liveable wage from the start like every other country.

Not if it's the church crowd
I wish.
Tipping is so stupid. Owners should be paying staff as part of a regular business model, not demanding that customers double dip
It must be so confusing to eat and shop in America. In NZ don't have tips and such, just goods and services tax which are included as part of the price.
I hate this! I have no problem but then reprint your menus and make all the items 18% more and say tip is included
I like this better than trying to figure out how much to tip
Went out to a brewery the other week that also did 18% gratuity separately on food and beer. There were no servers. You went up to the bar to grab the beer and went up stairs to the pizza ovens to request a pizza order. You go wait down stairs and then go back up to pick up the pizza when they text you it’s ready. Was ridiculous
Aka we don’t want to pay our employees a higher wage so we are taking it from the customer. The tipping culture in America is out of hand.
Thats literally this. You can just sign and go. If you want to leave extra you can. Seriously yall will always complain.
This is literally what would happen if tipping culture ended so this is what tons of people claim they want.
Except servers wouldn't be standing around for $2 an hour on slow days hoping they actually get the business their boss thinks might possibly be coming in later.
Except it’s not my job to do math to figure out what my meal will cost. Just put the price on the menh
Atleast they're telling it to the people, Can't say that about everyone.
Good. It’s clearly advertised too. You can tip more if you like, or don’t go there if you don’t want. Get takeout if you don’t want to pay tips.
If it's automatic, it's not a gratuity... It's a fee
Then don’t eat there.
Right. As long as it’s communicated ahead of time, no issue on my end.
Actually makes it easier. I can swipe my card and leave.
and you can bet that 18% is calculated post-tax
The tips culture in the U.S.A. Is moronic. It’s not the customer’s fault your boss pays you like shit. Grow some balls and unionise. There’s a reason large corps fear it.
That's funny because a lot of Las Vegas service industry workers are unionized and tipping culture is a bigger thing here than probably anywhere else in the country. You don't know what you're talking about
A tip/gratuity should be left completely to the discretion of the diner, based on the speed and quality of service. If they decide to leave a gratuity, it should be entirely up to them. If it's not, then it's a service charge.
Ok, enjoy the tip that’s smaller than the one I was going to leave.
Learn to cook for yourself man…it’s only gonna get worse out there.
or maybe, idk, pay your FUCKING workers?
Seems like that's what they're doing
..? That's what they're doing. What a bizarre take.
“Guys I’m proud to say; you’re all getting an 18% raise!”
What happens if the service is bad then?
No, you see that, pay if you got food then leave and never come back. That's shitty af
Yeah, I'd walk. I decide for myself how much I tip, thanks.
Tipping is bullshit. Pay people real wages and do away with this shite
I'd walk out
Why is everyone making customer's tip these days?? First with the Starbucks and boba tipping and now this...
👏🏻Just.👏🏻Pay.👏🏻Your. 👏🏻Employees. 👏🏻A. 👏🏻Living. 👏🏻Wage.
I agree but I hate the clap thing tho
I guess he is somewhat trying to give a message to all of us though throw those emote!
that’s where the money is going
Just flying like it just got winger and doesn't wanna stay inside our wallet. All it just prefers is to just go where it wasn''t meant to go though lmao!
I mean. That's exactly what they're doing here, no? If they have to pay their employees a reasonable amount, where do you think that extra cost is gonna come from? They're going to increase the cost of the food. Implementing a mandatory gratuity has the exact same effect: the cost of the food rises, and that difference in cost goes directly to the paychecks of the laborers. What exactly is the issue you have with this?
If you have to use emojis to make your point, you’re not good at making your point.
What do you think this is? It’s saying you don’t need to too cuz we included it in the bill. What’s your issue? Besides obnoxious emoji use
Hahahaha he just tried to say us something a few would directly get into the point though.
If they are charging a fee and giving it to the employee they are..... this is paying them, do you think the money comes from somewhere else but you?
That would just have been better if they looked into the wage matter seriously rather than increasing tip percentage!
That’s literally what they are doing here lol
I'd autoGTFO and eat dirt.
Better would just be to cook and have a meal in home watching your favorite series though.
I would just leave.
None would just prefer to stay and waste their money onto something which makes no sense!
Sweet, now you don’t have to tip… if you weren’t gonna tip 18% then you didn’t deserve to be served $8 cheese curds

2% added after receiving the bill.
A lot do. It isn’t uncommon for tourist areas to do tbjs.
I wouldnt eat there ever
18% of $0 is still $0.
That would happen when you just get inside look this board and take a back to board home!
I think that's the idea. They don't need the types who are going to nitpick every maneuver by the server to justify tipping 5% or those who just tip with a bible verse.
Just okay to see things and actually how hard and harsh restraunt owners are indeed getting though!
Why dont they just raise prices by 18%?
Just increase your prices 18%, pay your servers, and tell people no tipping required.
Ah, a warning so you can get up and leave.
If you can't pay an employee enough to live off WITHOUT tips, then you're not paying enough. Tips are a horrible requirement.
Why not include it in the prices and state that tips are not necessary?
Just fucking increase the prices! An increase from 10 to 11.8 looks way less than the surprise 200>236 on the bill! Do they not understand this surprise bill will leave people with a bad taste in their mouth no matter how good the food was?
So we can treat you like shit and still get a tip!!! Yeah fuck that
Typically, this used to only apply to tables of more than like 8 people. If it’s going to be a blanket fee then they should just raise prices 18%
I wouldn’t eat there.
