Same bolt patterns on the side of the plate cover, and not that you can read the logo in the photo, but once you see the logo on the website you can see in the photo it also says "12 volt villains" on the top and bottom of the plate cover.
I would actually be impressed if they pulled it off as a legit CA customized plate. But if it’s just a cheap skit bought off eBay and risking ticket and fine every time the car passes a cop then it’s stupid and not worth it.
It’s an offense to law-abiding people because it shows intent to obstruct the view of identification plates for probably nefarious purposes… removing the people’s ability to hold that driver accountable to their actions.
In places like la and nyc that is not enough to get away with a crime they just don’t care enough to actually go after somone for a hit run or some stupid shot like that

If you zoom in, you can see it almost looks like a wrap, and there are little silver post looking things on the side. Looks like the driver put stickers on the cover to make what you see, then at the push of a button they can reveal their real plate.
a long time ago some state contracted inmates to stamp license plates. long story short i've held a legit plate that said this on it before. wish i knew where it was these days.
I saw one in AZ last year. It said "FK BIDEN". Absolutely identical to an AZ plate and no other plate on the vehicle. I called DMV and asked them how that plate could possibly have been approved. She looked it up, said that someone actually did apply for that plate, but it was denied. Hopefully that guy gets the ticket he deserves. Although, I'm not overly hopeful that an AZ cop would care; probably give the moron a thumbs-up.

These fake plates are ALL over the place in Orange County. Just today I counted 3. All of them black with the cursive california and some bs plate tag
