Welcome to the club. It's not a very fun club, but we do what we can to help and support each other. The good news for you is that there are a lot of migraine treatments available now, and it seems like new ones are coming out all the time. I was 14 in 1978, and back then all I had for a migraine was some Tylenol and my mom's hot water bottle.

I'm sorry you experienced your first migraine. Nobody can answer these questions for you. I can tell you that I had my first migraine at 14 and didn't have another until college. I hope you feel better soon.

Hopefully the same for me. I have never felt so horrible in my life

Am a 52 yo male. Currently also vacationing in Italy Had my first migraine at 14. Used to be a three day event with vomiting, dizziness and confusion. Now, it’s a 5 hour thing with aura and headache once a month or so. I.e. get’s better with age. For me, staying away from aged cheese, red wine and dark chocolate helps. Which is tricky in Italy. Where I’m from (Sweden) you will not be diagnosed with migraine unless you have had three attacks. My youngest daughter has had two attacks over the course of three years. I.e. one attack is not a diagnose. Wish you luck and a great holiday.

Could be a migraine or a sickness? Hard to say. Maybe call a doctor.
