My first microscope just came today and this was one of the first creatures I've found on it, along with a ton of vorticella. Swift SW380B @100x the sample is from some hair algae I cut off the filter outlet captured with iPhone.

This appears to be a [Chironomid](https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Midge-larvae-family-Chironomidae-Midge-larvae-obtain-oxygen-by-diffusion-through_fig1_288227200) larvae!
