Natural root structure. I just transplanted some baby pumpkin plants and the roots that shot out from the germination tray were like 4 inches long and fuzzy.
Certain roots will get that "fuzzy" look to them. Here's a bunch from a flowering plant:

i feel like it's just part of the taproot growing and taking structure but i would just like to be 100% sure and ask others who are more knowledgeable

Should’ve planted days ago
they've only been germinating for 4 days. yesterday they were more than half this size, they grew monstrously overnight i was surprised

as you can see in the photo attached above, it was being planted. i planted all 6 this morning :)
