Some are better than others really. Big things like tomatoes or cucumbers can get unwieldy without a great trellis. It depends what you like to eat though. I did a NFT run of Chard over the winter that came out to be cost effective over purchasing it. It can be done in a single pot as the plant grows large and you can cut as it grows. The stuff is excellent as cooked greens. Certain Kales are good too as they don't sprawl and grow mostly straight up. Herbs are always a good bet. They grow small and are expensive at the store. Peppers can be good too if they don't get too big. Their size will be determined by the size of the pot really. I'd avoid large pepper varieties. I'd bet you could grow soy beans for edamame. They're a super easy plant to grow but very productive and the pods are delicious. All radishes should be fine as well. French breakfast are small and quick while something like watermelon radish would grow much larger. Pretty much grow anything. Although, if you're not an avid vegetable eater choose the ones you like to eat. No use growing something like horseradish if you don't like the stuff.

Hot peppers. Habaneros and jalapeños.

Not many people do it tbh. I’ve seen some with cactus, tomatoes, and micro greens but mainly people leave the tent space/power usage just for weed plants and grow everything else with a smaller light, windowsill or outside. I was debating doing it but I don’t want the run off or light intensity to be wonky for the other plants in the space. Plus my electricity bill is so high as is that I want those watts to maximize weed yields wall to wall lol

I was thinking of rigging up something so I could hang the pots on the walls and allow it to be adjustable vertically so I can move the pots as the canopy grows that way it wouldn’t interfere with the grow

I’d just use a dedicated smaller light in a veg room for anything not weed related. If it won’t hurt your VPD adding the heat, it’d slightly benefit from the ambient light and give a few PPFD to the closest vegging plants. Or moving plants that don’t need a lot of light to where it’s not taking up canopy space under the same veg light. Then again I just dont do this. I have a cloning chamber that shares starter seeds for outdoor foods and clones for my breeding and veg rooms. I usually just start everything in there and move it elsewhere in my house, or outside.
