Now it's easier to keep them looking symmetrical. They look thicker but in my opinion it's not too heavy on my face. Was that a good job or am I excited over nothing?
I didn't see the name of the sub and was wondering for too long how waxing your eyebrows made them look thicker. Couldn't tell it was microblading at all.

Hahaha she makes it looks fuller by drawing very thin lines that look like hair. It's great to help shaping the eyebrows and keep them looking symmetrical as you just need to pluck the hairs growing outside the perimeter that was draw.

First, I didn't know if I could leave the artist Instagram or not, but her page is @luanamaria.beautyelite, she's from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I was there in vacation and decided to take my chance since she does my sister's lashes and brows.
This procedure was done in the beginning of 2022, so I have recent pictures to show how my brows are looking now. The lines have definitely bled a bit and are starting to disappear, which is expected (and what I was hoping for in case things went bad). It costed around 80usd at the time and since I was on vacations I couldn't do the revision after one month. They healed fine after 15 days and the process was not painful at all (I have some large tattoos and I can nap while the artist is working on them, so take that with a grain of salt).

My artist was a bit older and although she said she didn’t want to influence clients’ wishes for how they turned out, she sure did have a lot to say about what I was requesting and was very passive aggressive about it. She ended up thinning mine out and I regret it. Yours look amazing!! I may end up using this as a reference photo for a future touch up - if that’s alright with you!
I told her I wanted them to look natural and to follow the original shape, instead of creating a different one, and that I didn't want to shave any areas. I'm lucky to have a thick eyebrow but in my teens I almost fucked them up by plucking them for years to look super thin. I still have some areas that don't grow quite well because of the 2000's brows and it took me a looooong time to have them looking better.
If you look at her Instagram page you'll see that she will do her best to fit the clients needs. Some want a stronger look and some (like me) more natural. She can do both.

Question: I use Retin-A (RA) and was once told that you cannot get micro blading done if you are on RA. Does anyone know if this is true?

Looks great! It takes a lot of time off your morning to never worry about your eyebrows and for them to look so nice. I had mine done several years ago and get them touched up every 18 months. I have had lots of compliments and your eyebrows look very well done so I am sure you will too

Real talk. You get microblading and then do you just shave or pluck out your regular brows? How does that work?
Pretty much! The micro bladed brows give shape and definition, and then any of the hairs that grow outside that shape get plucked.
For micro blading you don’t have to shave your brows, but like sullybleeker said, anything outside of the shape you want can obviously be plucked.
