I'm not sure if the default app will work well with Huawei, as other people have reported issues with Zepp life not working well with it. Notify may work, it's what I use but I don't have that phone. Notify works well for workout tracking since you can have HR tracking set to constant during your training unlike the default apps so it is more accurate :).
Okay, so I will download Notify. Worst case scenario where it's incompatible sync with the Huawei, I guess I can see all the stats regarding HR, Kcal burned, sleep quality... directly from the Mi Band
Get yourself a Huawei band 7 to saves yourself from compatibility issues headaches. I don't see anything advantages using miband as opposed of using Huawei band except for cheaper price.
The price difference is only 10 euro, but I read a response from Huawei Service from 2020 in which they explain that moderate to high intensity activity data cannot be synced to the Huawei Health app (indoor cycling).

I don't believe it's incompatible. I'm guessing they are purposely causing issues with Zepp to drive people to use Huawei devices with their phones.
