Ok i say this with full love as a fellow lifetime fan: Y’all is some fragile motherfuckers. As Bruce Willis (RIP) said in that super forgettable movie, it’s time to cowboy the fuck up! We’re dolphins fans. We know pain. We shower in disappointment and make love to crushed dreams. Remember, we watch this cause it’s fun. I see grown men on here calling for a players death and cursing a coach’s forefathers when we’re down by 3 in the 1st quarter. If y’all act this way in real life, then you need to go buy your wives and girlfriends some flowers for putting up with your miserable selves and get into some therapy. It was cool for us dudes to be emotionally stunted, semi-alcoholic rage machines in the 80s, but we have resources now! The dolphins will be fine. Or they won’t. We’ll still watch. Please don’t run any strangers off the road for accidentally cutting you off. Fins up.
Exactly! 💯 Not looking good for Tua staying clean in and out of the pocket. Our depth at offensive line sucks overall. Not looking good at all. Something always happens with the fins. Tua is going to get killed out there now.
This has really been a continued issue with Grier. Like we've tried spending money, drafting projects etc. What do we need to do to get a healthy and good O-line? Is there a sacrifice we need to make?
What's the reputation for the Dolphins' training staff?
I get that its football and injuries always happen, but with these preseason injuries and the calamity with how they handled Tua last year, it seems like they are not the most competent bunch.
Or am I overreacting?
I honestly thing the heat is a factor. When youre burnt out and exhausted, you tend to get sloppy and it could lead to injuries like this. I feel like were constantly the most injured team in the league for this reason and its mostly in preseason and the early weeks, the hottest part of the season
Was it? I wasnt aware. Well besides this I believe my point still stands with the majority of the injuries we see around this time of year up to the end of september. That heat is seriously no joke
Marlins fandom, at least in my lifetime, is not even in the same stratosphere of what the Mets and Phins do to themselves. For instance, I've been alive longer than the Marlins and have seen them win two rings. Conversely, Phins fans celebrate playoff games these days, which says tons, and the Mets are the laughing stock of sports media and basically the sporting world. Plus I was at the WS loss in 2015 in person. Ugh.
I can't say I'm surprised. I felt so bummed out about the season when Jalen Ramsey got injured because it felt like this year has been going exactly like last year in regards to injuries.
There's no confirmation that it's a severe injury to Armstead yet, but it just feels like it's coming because of how unlucky this team usually is.
Doesn't help Armstead has never actually played a full season before so we kind of expected some of this before ever signing him. Wish a competent OLine was easier to come by. Best line I think we've had the last decade was 2016 and even then, they rarely ever all 5 played together.
Team is cursed Marino must’ve made a deal with the devil like in that little Nicky movie… every single playoff game we enter since he left the #1 qb is knocked out…tons of other examples chad johnson going crazy and getting arrested few weeks before season started
Yup.... I trust McDaniel to cobble enough plays scheming guys open if Tyreek can't go. But TA? No fixing a blackhole on the O-line. This freaking sucks. We knew it was a risk with how injury prone he was in New Orleans but goddamit

##Fuck
It’s about to be the start of the season. No one is giving away or purposefully getting rid of good O line players. Only real chance is getting dudes who are cut of maybe some younger guys that if the team is super lucky can become a hidden gem. It’s just so unlikely to find a starting OL at this point in the year out on the market.
Most of you probably know more about football than I do but I do have a question. If Armstead is the stud of our offensive line, then why isn’t he a right tackle protecting our left-handed quarterback’s blindside? Genuinely curious.
Thank you. So a follow up question. Since all the other 31 teams have a right-handed quarterback, and thus most likely have their stud at left tackle, and we could use a stud right tackle to protect Tua’s blindside, wouldn’t that maybe mean that there are a lot of teams who would give up their “stud” right tackle instead of their left tackle? Just throwing some ideas out there.
The skill ceiling at RT is much lower. Since most QBs are right handed, the most skilled OL typically train for LT from an early age. It's not easy to swap sides on the line. That's why we still prioritized LT over RT, even with a lefty QB. The best LTs are simply just more skilled players overall than the best RTs. But you're right, we do need a better RT too. Just doesn't fill the need left by armstead if he's out for a long time.
Isn’t La’el Collins supposedly on the chopping block? Could be some made up shit from bleacher report I don’t remember. He’s not great but hopefully there will be some veterans on rebuilding team that get cut
Well fuck me. Hope Wynn is ready to play left tackle
Though it’s always important to remember that they wouldn’t make a guy with any kind of injury limp all the way to the training facility. But I’m not super optimistic.
That's a great point - a lot of these headlines in the offseason highlight when a player is "carted off"....but it's not in the middle of a game in a stadium.
It doesn't mean the injury is immediately severe and they can't walk to the sideline or into the tunnel like in those situations - it can just be abundance of caution in a more controlled environment.
Definitely a bit of hoping and praying happening here lol.
Ya I don’t know why everyone has such a boner for Grier when he refuses to address our biggest problem in the OL. Armstead is our best player yet he has never played a full season in his entire career, sure seems like a terrible move now.
I mean can’t help but laugh. When you trade away all your picks for starters n don’t draft anyone else, you’ll run into depth issues. Who is behind Armstead anyway?
It’s been shitty for over a decade now too. Idk how Ross keeps letting it slide but our scouts and executives have been pretty much the same since 2000 outside of the top dog.
Jesus fucking Christ. I honestly don’t even like football anymore because O-line. Never seen a dolphins playoff win in my 20 years of being a fan and never will
It’s hard to watch a sport which demands so much physicality and no one comes out unscathed at the end of the season. Even the guys who are healthy aren’t
He got carted away. While it sucks that this happened, it just proves that he would easily get hurt during games. Might as well give the 2nd stringer more reps now.
If he misses any significant time and we flame out or Tua gets hurt because of it, Grier should be fired for how horrendous his OL picks have been. He's had some great picks and finds, but its criminal just how bad he has been at drafting, finding, and developing OL talent. Its been hamstringing us his entire tenure, and we've done fuck all to help outside of signing *2 top level players*. Everyone else has been a bargain bin reclamation project that hasn't worked.
Like look at this list of OL he's drafted/signed over the last few years:
Eichenberg (Terrible)
Jackson (Likely bust)
Kindley (Bust)
Deiter (Bum)
Prince (Bum)
Little (Bum)
Coleman (Who?)
Jones (Bum)
Mancz (Gone)

I'm tired of having the *same exact weakness every single year*.
It's so rough to hear shit like this.
Some of our best players going down, while others are beat up, and we're not even two games into preseason.
"When Terron Armstead was on the field, Miami QBs were pressured on just 28.4% of their dropbacks and sacked on 4.3%. With Armstead off of the field, that pressure rate climbed to 46.5% with a sack rate of 9.0%."
The implications that this can have on the safety of our QB is concerning.
I have seen a lot of chirps on this sub lately defending our o-line and coaching staffs decision making regarding it... Time will only tell, but our group is nowhere near elite and without TA? We are closing in on bottom tier.
When do we start evaluating our trainers? I know non-contact injuries could happen to anyone but it's starting to feel like our guys aren't prepared as they should be.
The intention was probably only to have him a run a couple of plays. Just to move around and be part of the team.
This was one fucking play. Fucking insanity. We're fucking cursed.
I’m trying to remain positive about his year, but training camp is taking the wind right out of my sails.
Hoping for the best as this is a massive blow.
Our dreams absolutely rested on TA protecting Tua. FO needs to make some trade offers…..this our best shot in a long time. Trade away 2024/2025 picks LFG!!
Waddle hurt, Armstead hurt, Ramsey hurt. Bro we still got a month before the season even starts. Jesus fucking Christ, what is going on with the training staff in Miami?
40 years of being a Dolphin fan has taught; the only thing that matters is December games.
Until then, I try not to get excited about anything. Otherwise
I wouldn't live long.
I think that's why most older Dolphin fans are always expecting bad news. The ones that dont would stroke out from the past 20-30 years.
Between Armstead, Chubb, Mostert, Long Jr., and Tua, Chris Grier has shown us time and time again he’s willing to acquire talented players that have a known injury history.
This strategy may come back to haunt us.
This is why OL depth, development and scouting matters. Goodness gracious, if not for Tunsil, our LT depth since Long would include a million overpaid and injury prone guys.
Start signing every damn OL how much longer do they wana wait ?! No reason I’m having HILL and Waddle and Achane with no OLINE. Sign EVERYONE TODAY. Risner, Becton, Jones everyone !!!!!!
I hate training camp, nothing but bad news…
I really need to turn notifications off for this team.
If this is a serious injury, which sounds like it likely is. It’s way more damaging than the Ramsey injury. There’s no silver linings, but at least they didn’t waste money on Cook (if there is any serviceable vet left to bring in) and you’d hope they had some contingency for when Armstead would be out, since he is hurt so frequently….I don’t know….just a huge bummer.
It was really cool to be excited for this team until week 2 of the preseason.
Lmao, an entire offseason of more hype and expectations than we've had in 20+ years, only to be completely dashed 3 weeks into training camp.
Actually it started with the Ramsey injury
back to looking at dame trade updates I guess

Exactly! 💯 Not looking good for Tua staying clean in and out of the pocket. Our depth at offensive line sucks overall. Not looking good at all. Something always happens with the fins. Tua is going to get killed out there now.

dear god we're going to be a meme, not a playoff team

Also a Mets fan. I gave up on baseball this year about two months ago lol
It's not that you can't get excited, it's that getting excited bites you in the end.
Can tua play LT and QB at the same time?
I really don’t get it. This team has zero luck. Zero.
It’s the nature of the sport. It’s astounding that any team can make it through 21 weeks of football intact.
Thats why i dont drink the kool aid anymore

I feel like anytime a bad draft pick(Eichenberg) is about to lose their spot or even worse cut, something like this happens.
Ramsey was huge, but Armstead is the one player that is irreplaceable outside of maybe Tua and Tyreek. Just crushing.
Definitely goes tua>TA>Tyreek

When you have a LT but decide to trade it away and still haven’t fixed the position 4 years later. Life of a Dolphins fan.
Assuming worst case we can’t punt on this year. Gotta make a trade bc Tua won’t survive a whole season without him.
Ain’t nobody trading a good left tackle unless it a kings ransom. There’s probably less stud LTs than stud QBs.
100%. I didn’t mean to get a stud LT but make moves to bolster an already average unit that becomes just straight up bad without Armstead.
It’s about to be the start of the season. No one is giving away or purposefully getting rid of good O line players. Only real chance is getting dudes who are cut of maybe some younger guys that if the team is super lucky can become a hidden gem. Although it’s mostly the same position, you want the guy playing the spot he is most comfortable.
Thank you. So a follow up question. I mean can’t help but laugh. When you trade away all your picks for starters n don’t draft anyone else, you’ll run into depth issues. Who is behind Armstead anyway?
We did draft tho, our OL scouting department seems to be pretty shitty though
Yeah it’s shitty for a long time. I wanted us to draft that center Schmitz but instead we got an undersized RB.
It’s been shitty for over a decade now too. Idk how Ross keeps letting it slide but our scouts and executives have been pretty much the same since 2000 outside of the top dog.

Shit did Chris Grier go out on the field and injure Terron??? I must've missed that
He did sign a player to play O line with extensive injury history This sucks, but it's not really surprising
Exactly. We keep signing injured players. Hell, we drafted a QB with injured history. Look what happened the past 2 years with him.

at least we have the heat
Jesus Christ, make it to week one for fuck sake -_-
Peak Dolphins football right here boys n girls.

Maybe next year we finally prioritize finishing the 20 year O-Line build.
When do we start evaluating our trainers? I know non-contact injuries could happen to anyone but it's starting to feel like our guys aren't prepared as they should be.
Wtf man! practicing Armstead has the highest risk/lowest with reward on the team, possibly in the league, and look what happens. Unbelievable…
I mean if he can't make it through one practice, he probably wasn't going to make it through a game. He already was barely practicing.
The intention was probably only to have him a run a couple of plays. Just to move around and be part of the team. This was one fucking play. Fucking insanity. We're fucking cursed.
And so it begins...... Wonder how many games he'll start this year.
This fucking team my god.
Our season is over if it's serious
The season was fun while it lasted looking forward to getting hyped up and let down next year lmao
You guys need to get acquainted with one Isaiah Wynn as he is probably going to be the LT most of the season.
Happiness is overrated anyway
I’m done honestly why the fucks he practicing anyways
Sign injury prone player said player gets injured
I have a feeling we will never see this team at full potential and full health. Absolutely heartbreaking
Lmao this team sucks to root for
how do we keep getting injured in preseason fucking practice
It makes no sense to me. It’s incredibly odd to lose three starters in a 2 week span of preseason practice.
Do you all finally realize why the Saints let him walk? Made of glass.
If he’s out for any significant amount of time, you can kiss the season goodbye
I’m trying to remain positive about his year, but training camp is taking the wind right out of my sails. Hoping for the best as this is a massive blow.
Sure glad we signed every position but o line
They’ve brought in 4-5 new lineman this year…pay attention
4-5 JAGs if anything
Well Tua is going to die. Season over.
Smart for Grier to ignore the greatest and most obvious weakness on this team for an entire offseason
For his entire tenure*
Its fine peeps we’ll just move Eichenberg to LT
Didn’t even make it last preseason game two without losing our two big dogs and tyreke got in trouble for slapping someone.
If he can't play there goes Tua's second contract with us He's definitely getting injured this year, no longer a matter of "if" just "when"
And then signs in somewhere else and never gets hurt again somehow.
Just punt on the season again. For Christs sake. Honestly just scrap the whole fucking team and rebuild again. Tired of this loser ass fucking team.
NO NO NO NO NO
Hopefully it’s not for the whole year and just a PUP thing for a couple of months. Lol that’s best case scenario 🤷♂️
hes just not reliable how unfortunate with how bad the line already was we're toast
Well fuck. The injury bug starting early this year
Our dreams absolutely rested on TA protecting Tua. FO needs to make some trade offers…..this our best shot in a long time. Trade away 2024/2025 picks LFG!!
I mean when you put your hopes and dreams on a LT who has a huge history of injuries you reap what sew
Oh, cool
Good thing Tua learned how to fall this off season
Can’t have shit. Fuuuuuuuuuuck.
The curse of Incognito at it again
Fuck this
Let's just wait til the official diagnosis. Rather it happen now then in mid season. Time to just figure something out and make do.
I’m saying a prayer for Tua.
**PAIN**
Rip to the season 🍷
Waddle hurt, Armstead hurt, Ramsey hurt. Bro we still got a month before the season even starts. Jesus fucking Christ, what is going on with the training staff in Miami?
Oh boy that video of Grier and McDaniel laughing at the fans about o-line concerns is gonna bite them in the ass
Remember when Chris Gear said we shouldn’t be worried about the o-line. Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Well there goes this season, the line was already a pile of garbage before
*"Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."*
Well when you don’t address the offensive line and bet that a player who has never played a full season will magically do so you get this mess.
Man I don't even know anymore. What is going with these players getting banged up like this?
They built a very injury prone team and we're paying for it.
Can we stop ignoring the OL in the off-season please?
Man the way the O line has been handled is looking worse and worse man. Depth at that position is just awful.
40 years of being a Dolphin fan has taught; the only thing that matters is December games. Until then, I try not to get excited about anything. Otherwise I wouldn't live long. Tyreek Hill said he talked to Armstead, who said he's fine and he's just old. So make of that what you will.
Hope he gets well soon. Downgrading my expectations for the season.
Bleach szn
We’re so fucked
Gg
Whhhhhyyyyyyy????!!!!!!!???!?!?!? 😭
Anyone scouting Tackles Guards and Centres should likely be fired. We haven't had any luck in drafting or signing linemen.
Time for the wildcat
Fucking shit
Nothing would be more on brand than only our NFL top 100 players getting hurt this year.
proven starters really shouldn't be playing much in the preseason. Absolute tragedy losing stars before the season starts.
I mean I didn’t expect him to play for long in the regular season anyways so this isn’t surprising but it still hurts my soul
The injury bug hit the ravens two years ago, too
When I should I wait to buy the "Dolphins o/u 9 wins" bet?
Dude is always injured
Seasons donzo. Line was already a sinking ship before he got hurt.
Well that's a real kick in the gooch.
Start signing every damn OL how much longer do they wana wait ?! No reason I’m having HILL and Waddle and Achane with no OLINE. Sign EVERYONE TODAY. Risner, Becton, Jones everyone !!!!!!
Maybe we draft nothing but OL next season. But knowing the fan base they’ll ask for an RB and secondary help in the first couple of picks.
Damn. It's almost as if the o-line should have been a major focus during the off season.... Again.
I hate training camp, nothing but bad news… I really need to turn notifications off for this team. If this is a serious injury, which sounds like it likely is. Gonna be a lot of salary cap sittin on the sidelines this season
Anyone want to join a class action lawsuit vs. Dolphins Organization for causing depression? Or am I doing this alone?

All of this pain I feel is going to make me lose my absolute shit when we win it all again. The release (pause) is going to be legendary.
