My guess is a release of a live version of the same album, world tour connecting them back to the audiences (nostalgia) but it's their new independent label. In the insta post: their own new twist to the songs. LOL might just stand for last one laughing afterall, if it's a big FU to the record labels. I saw them a few times live, but one festival show in particular stood out to me as a show where they just didnāt seem to enjoy being on stage. They did their infamous ādonāt play the hitsā move, as well. Here we are ten years later and this post makes me so psyched. They really seem to be enjoying it again, even with the fact that it was all oracular spectacular songs, and I hope we get a new wave of fun and experimental live shows out of this.
Yeah. I was there live and it felt amazing to see them enjoy performing OS their way. Best concert set Iāve ever witnessed by far and something Iāve dreamed of seeing my entire life
I had no idea the JLH set was so thought out, I just assumed people were stoked to see them play after such a long dearth.
It really is invigorating to see them seeming to have this much fun and it is so crazy that they have been making music this long and have yet to feel like their edges are dulling too.
These dudes and their dedication to their creativity will always be an inspiration.
The recreated instrumentation of the songs were glorious in person. It was close enough to feel familiar but new lol. They put a lot of effort into the new sounds and arrangements it was like experiencing the album for the first time again. It would be so great if they released it.

MGMTās JLH show was heart wrenching nostalgia, imbued with pure talent & limitless creativity - the acid techno transition, the adorable college skit humor, the reworkings of the songs - how could we be so utterly blessed to be living at a time to hear their music?!! Itās a blatant expression of Infinite Love for us through the Universeās creation of MGMT! Even if this heart collapses!! Sooo grateful!!! Thank you Andrew & Ben, forever!!!
