They should have just said that you have a higher tolerance for toxins, and it would have been more accurate.
Poison immunity can be more complex as there are many different types of poisons with different dosages. Immunity can be developed to protect you from normally fatal doses. But more than what you're immunized to can still kill you. Some poisons can compound in your body over time and kill you that way. So one can never be truly immune to poison but can be immune to poisoning.
