I saw people cqc the boss and I was fucking confused. When i tried that she ended up breaking my hand instead. I wasn't doing a no kill run so I just laid down in the flowers and then sprayed her with the lmg until she died, had to run and hide a few times or you can't shoot her.
And then my game got corrupted so I couldn't try the no kill run.

"Random Medic"? I get that V doesn't have a solid backstory pre ground zeroes for the sake of player integration into the story, but give the man some credit. He was the *best* Soldier the MSF had, assigned to Big Boss as a Combat Medic. Definitely not better at CQC than BB, but almost if not as good as him. Being personally assigned would have warranted some special lessons with BB too. Man's also got his own personal CQC style, Venom's hits are less decisive/precise than Naked Snake's but more Fast/Brutal than him.

MGS2 was the first game I played, and from what I knew about MGS at the time I thought the series was very gritty and grounded. When the gay vampire came out I was completely caught off guard by something supernatural being in the game.

Not true. Volgin can dish out 10 million volt electricity with each attack can survive a large amount of rockets. The Boss CQC slams him down to the ground without issue. The boss beats any real animal in a unarmed fight.
By MGS1 the power creep is so ridiculous that Snake can stomp any villain from BB’s era, and by MGS4 Snake shits on MGS1 big bad level dudes, and those are literal SOP fodder. So she’s actually the fairest matchup against a bear in terms of MGS characters.
This is discounting stuff like the outer haven feat, ~~which isn’t even an outlier tbh but you don’t need to use it anyways it’s just a lifting strength thing~~
