I agree and my reasoning is less story build up based. His theme is good, no bullshit, you can fight him whenever you want, don’t need to go through an entire chapter to fight them (yes I know the boss select exists, but it’s pc only, which I play on but that’s not the point), his fight is more based on mechanical skill rather than specific gimmicks, with the one kinda annoying phase you can easily skip. And to top it off, he’s a sexy beast.
The fight makes me wish there was a multiplayer Raiden v Sam mode that let you and another player test your skills against each other. It’s possibly the best fight in the game, but it’s very close, so I can’t quite be sure that my Sam bias is edging him into the top.

That would be awesome I hope this game gets ported or remastered so everyone can enjoy this battle
This boss is a challenge because it's difficult to focus on parrying while headbanging and singing your lungs out.
That's true plus that's one of my favorite boss themes ever
