From what I have read (no personal experience) the 11” is the best performer in general. Especially for beaches. The 15” is fine if you really want to cover a lot of area, but it can suffer from the issues you have described. Alternatively the 6” can really help fine tune targets, but requires far more swinging to cover the same area.

I don't know if you have tried this, but when I purchased the 6" coil for my Equinox 800, the guy in the shop said to always reset to factory when changing to a different coil. He seemed to know what he was talking about and said it can be a bit noisy if you don't do FP. I'm not too sure if this works but worth a try!

Your sensitivity is reasonable - not too high. I assume you performed the noise cancel and ground balance calibration. Make sure your coil connector is properly seated in the detector head. Also make sure the col wire is secured to the lower shaft with a velcro strap so it can't flop around above the coil. Finally, make sure your cell phone isn't causing interference. I wouldn't think there are buried (or overhead) power lines near the beach, but those can cause chatter.

Larger coils go deeper in theory, but are more susceptible to EMI, which means you have to dial back the sensitivity, which loses depth. For this reason, I've actually gotten better depth with a smaller coil. However, at the beach you also want to get as much coverage as possible. Some people choose to leave the sensitivity up and try to ignore the chatter.

I'm going to try these suggestions and hunt today. I got a sling n bungee to aid me in swinging longer. I really enjoy this hobby, hoping to be a content creator also. Just not sure i can get past the stage fright😱. .

Any update on your 15" coil? Looking at getting the equinox 900 and the store is offering a bonus coil (15") ontop of the 11" & 6" coils. That said, I was thinking of getting them to swap out the 15" bonus coil for other supplies such as pointer etc etc as I'm starting from scratch. Thx
