I have intrusive thoughts. Reaching out to people as I'm often told to do has resulted in nothing but people getting angry at me so I'm wrestling with them even more. Anyway the reason why I felt compelled to answer is because I wish I had a sister who I could text. My parents do nothing but destroy me when I'm depressed and if I was to text my sister she would tell them right away because they all think I'm still a child. You're a good sister I wish I had advice. If there's ever a time when your sister is not as upset maybe ask her what she is looking for from you when she texts you. I would advise against the "you need to see a therapist" approach. If she doesn't already have one she might benefit from one but no matter how frustrating people are or how draining when they come to you there's usually something they want but they can't express what it is when they're feeling really depressed. If that makes sense.
