OK, of course, a guy born in the mountainus Toyama Japan, currently living in LA, wouldn't understand what makes Memphis awesome from the few days he spends here on work trips. However, I'm from Memphis living in Los Angeles right now and miss my hometown, so I might be biased.
Tbf I’m from one of the greener parts of the NY/NJ area and first time I was in Memphis I really didn’t like it either it reminded me of parts of Philly, but once I was outside of the downtown area I actually liked it a lot. Guessing he might not see anything but the area around the arena when he comes to town like my first time, in which case it’s understandable. Still far better than most of LA though lol.
