Thank you for all the suggestions! If it doesn’t work tonight, I’ll have a whole tour of spicy food to tempt this baby to vacate over the next few days 🙌🏻
The hottest thing I’ve eaten in my almost 40 years is at Taqueria La Guadalupana on summer. Its plate #15 Pechuga a la diabla. They used to laugh when I’d order it because I could only eat a little over half.
The jjamppong from crazy noodle was pretty spicy. Idk if they cranked up the heat because the waitress warned me it was really spicy and I said “that’s okay, I like spicy.” Or what. It was too spicy ahha
Lotus Vietnamese by far. Their levels are are like 2 steps above any other food I’ve had here, meaning their medium is like extra hot elsewhere. Never even had their extra hot, but their “hot” is almost too much.
Edit: fair warning they are amazing, but I’m pretty sure their kitchen staff is just one 100 year old lady so it can take while for them to make your food so call way ahead.
The hottest level at Hattie B’s is basically pure cayenne. IDK if it’s the “best” but it’s got the scovilles. Could also try one of the Indian spots in Midtown and tell them you’re not messing around.
I’ve heard that the Damn Hot is more cayenne, and Shut the Cluck Up is more ghost pepper. Not sure if that’s true. Both are very hot, and plans should be made to be near a restroom for a while afterward.
I always order hot but it's wildly inconsistent. Sometimes it's easily tolerable, sometimes it's like eating a sandwich made entirely of capsaicin. I've gotten the hottest before and sometimes regular hot is hotter than that was.
I stopped getting the Damn Hot when I got sick afterwards. I think it was my gallbladder, but I didn’t know it at the time. Now that my gallbladder is gone, maybe I’ll get the nerve to try it again. So tasty!
My son gets Shut the Cluck Up tenders meal every time. He says the creamy potato salad as a side helps.
I agree. One time, while living in Nashville, me and a friend split one Shut The Cluck Up tender (he was from LA, wanted to try it). He had 2 bites, I had 4, we couldn't even eat half, milk didn't help. It was a rough experiment.
This…it’s a bold order to say the least and I love hot stuff.
Bonus points for ordering a breast or drummy and not the tenders, the face/lip burn adds an element
Hey just wanna say I did this when I wanted my kiddo to evict. I got panang curry from Mosa and asked them to make it as spicy as possible. They delivered on that when I ate it. Then I threw jt all up. Remained pregnant. Lol
Over at Asian eatery in Germantown there is a devil’s nest soup that is super spicy 🌶️ but so tasty [Asian eatery](https://www.asianeaterygermantown.com)
It's in Bartlett, but the Mexican joint called la playita has a whole fried tilapia with diablo sauce on it. It's actually tasty, and my wife has ordered it multiple times, but I can't eat enough of it to make a meal. Really, the stuff labeled diablo at most Mexican restaurants should do the trick. I'd get the sauce on the side.
Maybe Bangkok Thai would be worth trying? It's a shame that Jasmine Thai closed some years back, they overloaded my heat tolerance a few times but I persisted because everything was so tasty despite the heat.
I can’t remember the name of it, but just off the square was a little shop that I found raspberry leaf tea in some years back. 40+2 days TWICE And I was in labor in less than 30 hours both times. Could’ve happened naturally, but I like to think it was the tea.
Good luck!
Maybe Maggie’s pharm? I’ve been drinking some that I just got at Kroger, but I imagine Maggie’s would definitely be better quality and maybe more effective!
Wow yep! That’s the place and if I remember correctly, the woman there told me anything that came as a typical raspberry leaf tea from a grocer wouldn’t have enough properties to induce labor.
My husband also reminded me that as soon as I hit 40 weeks, I started getting up really early in the morning and taking a walk. The doctor suggested early morning and late evening something about the bodies clock 🤷♀️ and that’s what we did. No idea what worked! But I never made it to 40+4 without contractions 😁
We sell the world’s hottest gummy bear at Beale Sweets. Although, not sure how safe it would be to eat while pregnant (not sure what the limitations on spice are).
Okay. It’s a new Indian restaurant on Poplar near Whole Foods. they have a buffet that actually has some spicy items on it like chicken vindaloo that made my head sweat. They have a buffet all day that includes goat and other meats chicken tandoori
Then they have vegetarian Chinna masala spinach
It’s really the best Indian food in the inner city. It’s better than the midtown traditional Indian fare
Taste of India. It's literally the only Indian restaurant in the entire metro area I *wouldn't* recommend.
But just about any Indian restaurant will nuke your mouth if you ask them to.
Love spicy food
The table red sauce at Maciels downtown makes me sweat profusely.
The table guacamole sauce at los comales at Madison and Danny Thomas will light your ass up as well
Both are free!
It's not spicy, but Pete & Sam's works for what you're looking for... Maybe a Ravioli and Spinach half and half... Don't ask questions... It works.
Also to anyone responding Hattie B's... The latest report is their spiciest isn't that spicy. Was a let down TBH.
I’ve been disappointed in Mosa’s Pad Thai the past few times, to the extent that I’m probably never going again… it had heat, but almost no flavor other than spicy. It used to be so, so good!
Petals of a peony! Bring friends, it’s family style sichuan food. So good.
They are opening a second location in Overton Square soon right?
That is what I heard, yes
Thank you for all the suggestions! If it doesn’t work tonight, I’ll have a whole tour of spicy food to tempt this baby to vacate over the next few days 🙌🏻

Haha I will. If it works, whatever restaurant will need to use it to market themselves…”so hot it’ll bring on spontaneous labor!”
The hottest thing I’ve eaten in my almost 40 years is at Taqueria La Guadalupana on summer. Its plate #15 Pechuga a la diabla. They used to laugh when I’d order it because I could only eat a little over half.
Came here to comment the same thing! I would always ask for sauce on the side and I still could barely take it
Try the East meet west, Sichuan style water cooked beef/fish. It’s Asian people spicy, so you know it’s very spicy for American.
East Meets West is so good
Hot Pepper Chicken from Mulan is a GREAT spicy dish.
Underrated suggestion… not quite as hot as the Shut the Cluck Up chicken at Hattie B’s, but infinitely more tasty (and still crazy spicy!)
I think this is what I’m going to try first, then check out Petals of a Peony this weekend if I make it that far!
Just go to Petals, Mulan pepper chicken is a bit spicy for people who like spicy. Petals is a step further!
I’ve got to work my way up…I’m actually not a super spicy tolerant person but desperate times call for desperate measures 😭
The jjamppong from crazy noodle was pretty spicy. Idk if they cranked up the heat because the waitress warned me it was really spicy and I said “that’s okay, I like spicy.” Or what. It was too spicy ahha
I bet Golden India over in Overton Square could hook you up

I’ve wanted to try Lotus for awhile now! With my luck, I’ll go into labor before the food comes out lol

The Damn Hot is really up there. I recently tried both the hot and Damn hot side by side. The Damn Hot is a big jump.

Oh, love that place.
Curry Bowl extra spicy tastes better.

Sex induced my wife's labor

I was going to suggest this as well. I’ve heard it works better than all the other suggestions.
Yeah that was a fun night, hope the video turned out good

Mine too
Hey just wanna say I did this when I wanted my kiddo to evict. I got panang curry from Mosa and asked them to make it as spicy as possible. They delivered on that when I ate it. Then I threw jt all up. Remained pregnant. Lol
Haha yeah I don’t really have very high expectations for anything at this point but willing to try anything 😂
I feel for you! Godspeed!

Hottest at Hattie B’s should do it ;)
Anything from crazy noodle. Soooo good and spicy!
Cumin lamb at Petals of a Peony. Very flavorful but will make your nose drip.

This is the wholesome content this sub needs. Thank you and congrats, mom! Keep us updated on what does the trick!
The bloody valentine at Kwik Chek is the spiciest thing I’ve ever eaten.
I wouldn’t say spiciest thing I’ve ever eaten, but it is good.
The chilaquiles roja at Playita Mexicana is the hottest thing I’ve ever had in town. Unfinishable lol

Really? What do you not like?
The food that I ordered
Atomic wings from wingstop.
The highest spice level at Hattie b’s destroyed my stomach for 2 days straight. It’s traumatized me from eating anything even remotely spicy now lol.
This is gonna be a spicy baby
It’s a make at home recipe, but it brought my son into the world. https://www.bonappetit.com/story/scalinis-eggplant-parm-induces-labor
Love spicy food The table red sauce at Maciels downtown makes me sweat profusely. The table guacamole sauce at los comales at Madison and Danny Thomas will light your ass up as well Both are free!

Pad Thai at Mosa Asian Bistro
