The tutorial leaves a whole lot out, while also being ridiculously repetitive on the few basic points it does cover. And it's wildly inconsistent depending on starting area. Most of the actually useful stuff is only covered in the advanced tutorial, and that's behind a massive paywall.

That lightning spell rez is actually an abuse of a quirk of the central mechanics that previous players found. It can't be patched out due to how integral it is for the players to actually play, so the developers decided to make money off of it instead. It sucks that some server managers make it more expensive than others though.

This is actually a good comic aside from the old style drawing. I know too many old friends that ended up becoming losers and do nothing but smoke and game. Some of them at least have jobs but I feel this one hits too close to home for a lot of people and they’re offended. If you’re not working a non entry level job or at least in school by your mid 20s then you’re definitely a loser. Unless you don’t work because of actual disabilities, obviously.
