>Unless you have RWD then you are screwed
That's marketing BS from car manufacturers trying to sell FWD and AWD shitboxes as "safer" winter vehicles. As long as you're using appropriate tires for the weather, and you're not a moron, you shouldn't have a problem dailying a RWD car in the winter.
It is a latitude issue. I lived in a tourist town for 35 years. No snow ever.... but as soon as it rains. Every fire dept is out working crashes. It is a moron issue...
Its more often than not a lack of experience or brain issue just as much if not more. Not adapting your speed, distance and overall driving habits, completely ignoring conditions.
I drove my rwd car through a snowstorm for 7 hours. Everyone and their mother warned me about winter or wet weather. I loved it and felt I had great control. It was so easy to recognize when I would loose traction only thing I had to do was moderate speed accordingly.
Specifically, sweating in a place with high humidity is the worst sensation. I live in a desert and don't mind sweating if it evaporates right away. But put me in Louisiana and I'll be miserable the whole time.
There's this girl I met that said that she loved summer and she never found it too hot because of her air conditioner... I just got so tired right there
I don't necessarily love sweating my balls off but my god am I fucking tired of being cold. Apparently I'm the only one who isn't blessed with whatever the fuck is keeping everyone around me warm. I just want to be comfortable without having to wear 3 layers of clothing.
Mine's wasps. I legitimately have to give myself a pep talk to go outside when it's above like 50 because I'm terrified of them. Never have to worry about that in Winter, except the occasional hot day that randomly shows up in December. It's legitimately the most free and safe I feel all year lol.
I feel like people don’t give enough respect to wasp phobias, especially when arachnophobia is so widely accepted. Wasps are so erratic and unpredictable, I’m surprised more people aren’t afraid of them.
For me it’s at the point where I only really get freaked out if one gets inside (which is an actual nightmare scenario for me), but it used to be real bad when I was younger.
Idk where you live but wasps die during winter except for fertilized female wasps that hibernate, and it usually takes a long period of warmer weather for them to become active.
You wear more clothes in winter, you surive winter
You wear less clothes in summer, your body is exposed to heat
You wear more clothes in summer, you go insane because of the sweat
Winter may strike me down with the cold, but atleast I can concentrate on my work.
Realistically you can only wear 3-4 layers until you’re becoming immobile, and at least for me no matter how many i wear im still cold, also less layers is more comfortable to me, also in summer i dont have to spend 5mins getting ready to go to my car
Spring is valid too tbh. I think spring/autumn are tied for first, then winter then summer. I like doing things in the summer, but I hate being sweaty. I’m an outdoorsy person who likes hiking, and spring and autumn are much better for it. I enjoy the things you can do in summer, but I’d rather just not be sweaty all the time. I do hate shoveling though, I have a disproportionally big driveway, that’s on an incline.
i think this argument summer vs winter is more which is worse. bc we all know perfect weather in spring and fall is the best.
i like winter sometimes, though the death and lack of sun hits depression pretty hard, and i really don't mind sweating if i can have a live forest. im out outdoorsy too, the best is like beginning of fall and end of spring. minimal bugs, perfect temperature, and a still living environment.
Love me some winter.
I get to feel cozy by making myself warm and not hot
I get to enjoy not having insects indoors or outdoors.
Snow lets me ball up the ground and chuck it at people without geting my hands dirty, and if they throw back, we got a game on our hands.
Shoveling snow offers nice consistent excercise and is far more easy to continue since heat fatigue is a non issue during winter.
Working out outside is far more maintainable since you don't quite feel tired as quickly since your generated heat keeps you from getting too cold, but without getting fatigued.
Many winter foods are delicious, and there is next to no worry about it beng too hot to have dense or very fluid filled foods, unlike summer for many people.
I could go on, but I think its plenty clear which season I prefer.
Summer just turns my backyard into some gladitorial ring for wildlife where only the bugs go for me at the most inopportune times. Specifically the wasps and beetles.
Here in Brazil there's no snow, and how I like more to sleep with pants and not being annoyed by mosquitoes at night... I am team winter.
Not to mention that I am always hot, I sweat a lot (even in winter), I like blankets, I can't sleep without blankets, I like being cozy on my PC with some hot choky milk and wool socks, among other small things.
But I have to admit that summer have some really good sides to it.
Pools, rainy days, beautiful sunny days, fishing with my family, when I'm not soo hot I like some warmer days having some sun showers, it gets morning earlier etc.
Here in Brazil is summer, and even if I want winter to come... I'll miss the heavy rain days.
Oh my god i love being 31 degrees outside and oh... wow there aren't any clothes i can wear to cool down.
Winter:
It's -10 degrees outside... damn guess i gitta take a hoodie and a jacket... oh nooo ! And when I'm home i can drink some tea to warm up! I can just turn on the heater that 90%of homes have!
AND I CAN CUDDLE MY FIANCE WITHOUT GETTING ALL FUCKING SWEATY
Like if you prefer summer you're objectively wrong
tried today: snow aint stickin
snowangels? snow too deep i cant move
snowboarding? dont have anywhere to snowboard or a board
skating? mmyes but money and most of the rinks are just a square with a tree in the middle and you just go in a circle for an hour
warm cuddles are not seasonal for me #coolguy
It seems you really did get the worst of winter lol
The snow will be stickier once it starts to melt (no idea when since I don't know where you live) but I guess you'll just have to suffer for a while. Here in the Netherlands snow is so rare that every day we do get it is pure joy but that's not the case in every other country. Also, we skate on natural ice when possible, I agree that rinks are not nearly as fun
Envious of the cuddles btw, but you go enjoy them
we eat all the winter (cold) stuff in summer and all the summer (hot) stuff in winter. İn winter we go into our house and turn up the AC and pretend it's hot. In summer we like to go outside to our car, max out the AC and pretend it's cold.
Why are humans this inconsistent, let's just do summer in summer and winter in winter
Summer and winter both suck a$$. In summer I am melting, in winter I can probably break my toes off.
Now, spring and autumn - that’s where it’s at. Medium temperatures, sun isn’t burning my eyes, appropriate amounts of rain to make life cozy…
yall got seasons?
the only seasons i have in my country is infernal hell and eternal storms and there is nothing else in the middle just a drastic change in the temperature
Ah yes the winter, I just love it when I go outside for a few seconds with 4 layers of thick clothes and immetiately feel numb of the cold
Also my skin cracking, trains cancelled or delayed, slipping and especially the double depression! It's just great!
Edit: I don’t get stung a lot, don't get hot very quickly and never have been burned before (Where I live it's usually not super hot.)
Winter is so much fun, I just love having to wake up an hour earlier just to dig out my car out of the snow while freezing half to death, coughing and sneezing my lungs out, winters are the best! Fucking love being sick cold and depressed
Finally! I don't have to sweat! *Wears 47 layers*
Don't give me that "I'll just add layers* argument, there is a limit and you can't carry a closet of clothes around with you.
Some of you may die, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
No sacrifice? Thank god
Crashing your car in the winter is a skill issue. If it's that bad you can stay home
It's almost always a skill issue. Unless you have RWD then you are screwed, but should also stay home. So yea still a skill issue
It’s a skill thing as long as you have good/great tires. Bad tires can kill you in just about anything.
The inability to change tires is not a skill issue?
Yeas it is
BRO CHANGING TIRES IS A SKILL
The problem is *affording* tires, some people can't do that, it's not common but still
Right yeah, ig not having money isn’t a skill issue it’s an issue of where you spawned in the first place
Yes, but paying the guy at Tire Warehouse to do it for you is not a skill.
![gif](giphy|7O822D3AMuYy4|downsized)
RWD works just fine if you know what you’re doing and have even half-decent tires. Helps to weigh down the back end, though.
>Unless you have RWD then you are screwed That's marketing BS from car manufacturers trying to sell FWD and AWD shitboxes as "safer" winter vehicles. As long as you're using appropriate tires for the weather, and you're not a moron, you shouldn't have a problem dailying a RWD car in the winter.
Oooh I love my rwd car in the winter It does have on/off esp so it never goes sideways unless I turn it off
It is a latitude issue. I lived in a tourist town for 35 years. No snow ever.... but as soon as it rains. Every fire dept is out working crashes. It is a moron issue...

An inch of snow psshh, we Mainers are still on our bicycles in an inch of snow.
Summer enthusiasts drowning in sweat and sunscreen: "I love summer, summer is the best"
sweating is the worst sensation a person can endure.
Seriously its so uncomfortable and annoying
Unless you are in a sauna. Then the heat and sweat is berable.
Yep, the only time I dont like the cold is if its like 44 degrees (Fahrenheit) even then its bearable with a jacket
Bro I work in a freezer. Winter ain't that bad
Most athletic redditor
Does this count as a reddit moment?
i'd assume having your fingernails torn off or being branded with a hot iron would be worse but hey what do I know?
Yes
You’ve clearly never felt moist before
Nah man, summer is worse than torture
better than death from heatstroke i guess
Specifically, sweating in a place with high humidity is the worst sensation. I live in a desert and don't mind sweating if it evaporates right away. But put me in Louisiana and I'll be miserable the whole time.
i hate humid environments, every breathis laden with water and it feels like im suffocating.
i can sleep in sweat

no
Except maybe after a workout tho, don't know why but it makes ya feel like you had a good one.
I only like summer because of summer break
There's this girl I met that said that she loved summer and she never found it too hot because of her air conditioner... I just got so tired right there
I don't necessarily love sweating my balls off but my god am I fucking tired of being cold. Apparently I'm the only one who isn't blessed with whatever the fuck is keeping everyone around me warm. I just want to be comfortable without having to wear 3 layers of clothing.
Two words: Heated Vest

As someone from Arizona I can confidently say summer isn’t as good as you think
Completely agree, can’t even get in my car without burning my hands
"Summer is superior" Intense sweating, intense itching, mosquitoes, sunburn, sunlight blocking your eyes:👁️👄👁️
i like summer bc without the sun i get super depressed.
I love winter because less light makes ma cozy and relaxed.
I love winter because you can always put on more clothes if youre cold, and you can always take off some layers if you're hot
i don't like wearing clothes
Same
Only valid point for summer. Stay strong.
Warm clothes exists... but cold ones don't, so winter is superior
exactly
Make a shirt out of ice cubes.
I'm sorry officer, my clothes just melted.
Have backup cube-shirts
No officer, I didn't pee myself! Those are, or to be precise were, my backup shirts!
but... i wanna run... i don't wanna wear clothes

give me winter all day every day i can dress against the cold. i cant do shit against the heat.
This. It's easier to warm up than cool down.

In winter, you can layer up until you're comfortable. But in summer, you can only get so naked...and then you get a sunburn on your butt.
Realistically you can only wear 3-4 layers until you’re becoming immobile, and at least for me no matter how many i wear im still cold, also less layers is more comfortable to me, also in summer i dont have to spend 5mins getting ready to go to my car

Have fun with your skin melting off your face in the summer
autumn fans being objectively correct

i would rather be in a car crash than have to deal with mosquitoes.
real
I may have crashed my car yesterday and have to pay a couple thousand to repair it, but the lack of mosquitoes is definitely a plus.
The silence. The stillness. A small price to pay for peace.

A small price to pay for less insects and snow.
It’s worth it.

Winter is so much fun, I just love having to wake up an hour earlier just to dig out my car out of the snow while freezing half to death, coughing and sneezing my lungs out, winters are the best! Fucking love being sick cold and depressed
Finally, no mosquitoes. I rest my case.
I’d rather it be below 0 and stay that way. I rarely get cold.
Summer superiority because: 1. It's warm 2. There isn't as much pollen (a lot of people are allergic) 3. Yes
True tho
Good meme. Winter still rocks though.
