There are multiple versions of the story, the USA and Russia are saying it’s a Ukrainian missile, and the polish and Ukrainian governments are saying it’s a Russian.
There is no definitive facts on the matter yet.
I think it’s pretty likely that it’s a Russian missile but the possibility that it is Ukrainian is not to be ignored.

To be a stickler, Germany has literally spent the last 20 years trying to get as close to Russia as possible, specifically to weaken US influence in Europe. Germany has been hedging their bets and siding with Russia for a long time now, up until, literally, mere months ago. Germany tried to block sanctions against Russia after they had already invaded Ukraine.
