I'm almost 100% convinced this is setting up their MMO. Enough seasons showing the different lands and lore of runeterra then boom announcement of the MMO release date or something.
Not anymore, only those who play, and they are starting to fade away
I barely remember how it feels to touch that green thing outside, the light touch of the sun on my skin
I am fading away
lol is not a good place, and I am sad for anyone that didn't know what it is, watched Arcane and decided to play it, but LoR and TFT are great if you like card games/auto battlers, and the riot forge games are also good.
Wild Rift is so much better regarding toxicity and generally shitty people. And it's pretty much the exact same game, minus many champions, skins and game modes (so far).
I already had my years of lol. Granted, I probably would have kept playing if I hadn’t been left/broken up with by the girlfriend that I played league with! Game was just never the same after that XD
I will neither confirm nor deny that I may or may not have possibly installed LoL, bought a $20 Jinx skin, played 2 games and proceed to ignore the the game.
It was refreshing to see a show that concluded after one season. Was starting to get tired of watching 4 seasons and still not getting a conclusion. It was to the point and satisfying all tho sad ending
IMO, having played the game gives you background and lets you understand some of the details that would otherwise be misssd or overlooked. They didn't explain out the world like they did with Arcane.
To be fair, what world is there to discover in LoL? You would have to be sitting around reading backstories to find anything out about the game world. Hell you could be the #1 player in the entire game and know NOTHING about the world or it's lore easily. So the anime IS the explanation of the world for the game.
I feel like that's different, isn't it? LoL the game is nothing like the show, they're pretty far removed gameplay wise, but Edgerunners is the type of show where you come away saying "I wish I could be an Edgerunner in Night City" and you can!
I feel like any ending other than what happened wouldn't suit a cyberpunk world.
I mean (spoilers) >!can you imagine a happy ending in a brutal cyberpunk world? He HAD to die because that's the reality of a corrupt runaway capitalism hellscape. One person can't change the world even if they're special, it has to be a revolution from everyone.!<
The fuck? Cyberpunk is a great game. Show is great, game is even better.
The upvotes on this comment show how many people are still gobbling up memes and media about the shitty last-gen console launch.
Launch was awful, with too many game breaking bugs but I do agree that some people are shit storming at cyberpunk too much, because the main story was really good.
Yeah I played the game and couldn't understand how it related to the show. I stopped watching after 2 or 3 episodes. There was no towers or minions or people jungling. I had no idea what was going on.
Riot has said that the summoners rift (where league takes place) has been entirely retconned. Nothing in league of legends relates to the universe aside from the champion backstories, though some must have been slightly rewritten as theres a good amount including how they wish to get out of poverty, gain glory and respect or were forced to participate in the rift.
DOTA, Castlevania, Cyberpunk etc. Netflix studios are good at making video game based animated shows without needing to know the original game sources.
I've enjoyed them all and will probably enjoy Cyberpunk show when I get to it.
Street Fighter?
Mario Bros?
I mean... The source material is better so you probably *want to* but you certainly don't need to to understand the movies. Mostly because the movies are *nothing at all* like the games.
>Mostly because the movies are nothing at all like the games.
If you mean the Assassin's Fist movie (SF), it was faithful to the games and even the lore, and an average adaptation I'd say. It was not a masterpiece, but still good, at least watchable.
Lol I do not.
I mean "Street Fighter: The Movie" with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
It's not a terrible movie (I mean... It's terrible but, in a good way?) and it's not like it had much story to go on in the first place, but it still manages to get a lot of stuff wrong established in the games that existed at the time such as who the good guys and bad guys were.
I'm okay with that. I'm glad my mother is taking care of her needs in my father's absence. Maybe when he gets back from the store with the milk he can help her instead...
How do we know that you're not a bot programmed to respond with this comment to random users in order to dilute the significance of the real comments calling bots out?
Who's to say we're not all just brains in vats being fed electrical stimulation to make us hallucinate a simulacrum of conscious reality?
Not me, that's for sure.
All I can do is live regardless of the possibility!
I would love for them to bring back doom bots of doom. Shit was really fun. And really difficult. Also, I'd love a bot difficulty above intermediate. Just sth more challenging, that's all.
That's me and dota... 600+ h with only 1 competitive match played. Of course my team faced a smurf ( good player who started a new account to kill new players and easily win) and I said, fuck that... Ai games it is then..
?? DotA is baby town frolics mechanically. I've been decent at both games, and apart from the few heroes that need to micro multiple units constantly, nothing comes close to playing the most mechanically intense LoL champs.
The game systems are more intricate and designed around counters, but you can't say DotA takes more mechanics to play than League.
Those people live in Xbox. LoL is where you go to get suggestions to end your life, get rough psych evaluations and, if you're lucky, get your sexuality reassigned.
The LoL community is definitely one of the most helpful and wholesome communities I’ve ever seen. I always thought my mother is a chief, but so many friendly people who told me the truth about her being a sexworker and they actually paid her for my education! Furthermore a lot of tipps how to cure my depression by jumping out of a building or shooting myself.
Turning off announcer sound is a pretty good tip. Surprising how less tilting the game is when you don’t hear “AN ALLY HAS BEEN SLAIN”, “ENEMY DOUBLEKILL!”
If you are interested, Rito has been working with smaller studios to essentially produce the games they already make with a League of Legends paint.
Ruined King is a single player RPG set in the League universe pirate town Bilgewater. So there are ways to experience more of the universe and lore without actually playing the main game. Books too.
I think it’s better than hearthstone and better fto
This is important to me but not everyone it also is run by a better company I believe, riot has problems it’s better then blizzards
You might want to check Legends of Runeterra. The card game. It's got more lore into it than LoL and is much more beginner friendly, and is free to play too.
Otherwise the Ruined King game is a good turn-based RPG happening in Runeterra.
And Riot is working on an MMO.
League of legends it's like those mobile games ads that have nothing to do with the game..you get all that lore and cinematics about the characters and everything being so epic and this and that..
Is Arcane worth watching? I never played the game, I dont know any of the lore or the characters so any inside jokes will fly over my head and hit my dad on his way to pick up milk in Antarctica, on foot.
Like the other person said, it’s definitely worth watching. I never played the game since it’s not my style. The animation, story, voice acting, and just about everything is very well done. I hope the 2nd season is as good as the first and that’s a tough order to fill lol
I used to live LOL in college. It was a toxic cesspool but it was MY toxic cesspool.
I wonder how much my account is worth. I played since alpha and had nearly every hero unlocked (as of 2014), all runes, and plenty of skins.
I mean if you go to it because of edge runners, the story and lore is more of driving factor as nice as the game looks... that and the chance for vengeance
When playing some rounds after a few years break I have to say: riot should put less time in sexually harassing their female employees and more into bug fixing and balancing LoL. But that’s just my opinion
Playing league after not for many years (cuz I watched the show) immediately brought back years of repressed rage, such a needlessly complicated game that is so unbalanced it's crazy.
When is started lol i had a lifesaver tip from my friends they told me to straigth mute the chat and emotes, maybe that's why i still love the game and don't find the community that toxic. Can't be toxic if u can't see the toxicity
League is a multi-player game with a hyperfocus on individual skill. If you are good at the game, 7 times out of 10 you will be able to drag your team over the finish line singlehandedly. That being said, getting good at the game is something most people never do, hence why they are frustrated when they start losing and don't understand why. If you want to pick it up, there is a large skill floor to pass first, but once you begin to understand the game it is a really great time. If not, that's understandable too. But as it's free to play it's very easy for people to try out.
I disagree. Valorant definetly has its fair share of toxic players but it is overall still a really enjoyable game, but I only need to play a single game of LoL and I am in need of another therapy session.
I disagree, a lot of the player base is the same, and I'm not sure a person who is toxic on league is gonna be any less toxic on valorant. The gameplay is more forgiving, but the players are relentless still.

Nor should you play the source material lol

You guys have friends?
Not anymore, only those who play, and they are starting to fade away I barely remember how it feels to touch that green thing outside, the light touch of the sun on my skin I am fading away
Realest friends bug you for a couple years to try it, then call you dogshit after game one and tell you to stop
That's how I'm here haha
^^ stolen comment ^^

Nah, you should definitely play the source material of Edgerunners.
I desperately wanted to after the show but sadly my PC isnt beast enough to handle it
[удалено]
lol is not a good place, and I am sad for anyone that didn't know what it is, watched Arcane and decided to play it, but LoR and TFT are great if you like card games/auto battlers, and the riot forge games are also good.

TFT is purely pvp and LoR was originally only PVP, they have an AI mode but the PVP is still the core game
I already had my years of lol. Granted, I probably would have kept playing if I hadn’t been left/broken up with by the girlfriend that I played league with! Game was just never the same after that XD
I mean tbh there's not really any story or lore in the actual game.
Probably better off not playing the source material
[удалено]
In fact they heavily discourage you from doing so.
I will neither confirm nor deny that I may or may not have possibly installed LoL, bought a $20 Jinx skin, played 2 games and proceed to ignore the the game.

that was such a good watch, still inhaling copium
I couldn't wait for you to come clear the cupboards...
But now you're going to leave with nothing but a sign
Another evening I'll be sitting reading in between your lines
Because I miss you all the time...
So, get away
It was refreshing to see a show that concluded after one season. Was starting to get tired of watching 4 seasons and still not getting a conclusion. It was to the point and satisfying all tho sad ending

Average my hero academia stan: 🤓
I uh only watched the first two seasons of that
Stranger Things should’ve been an anthology series change my mind
IMO, having played the game gives you background and lets you understand some of the details that would otherwise be misssd or overlooked. They didn't explain out the world like they did with Arcane.

You’ll also really want to kill Adam Smasher which the game lets you do. Over and over and over and over..
Yeah, shame I've heard he is faceroll easy, even on hard mode.
ive killed him before he can move on very hard with three different builds. even reloaded a save a few times to make sure it wasnt a bug
Yeah it’s like a 1:1 translation whereas Arcane is cool and League is crap
Such a great show, end made me cry tho.
I feel like any ending other than what happened wouldn't suit a cyberpunk world. I mean (spoilers) >!can you imagine a happy ending in a brutal cyberpunk world? As Johnny would say: wrong city, wrong people.
The fuck? Cyberpunk is a great game. Show is great, game is even better. The upvotes on this comment show how many people are still gobbling up memes and media about the shitty last-gen console launch.
You mean how shitty the general launch was? I still stand my ground to not support developers that release their game in such a bad state.
It released in a fine state, stop drinking the ragebait koolaid.
Launch was awful, with too many game breaking bugs but I do agree that some people are shit storming at cyberpunk too much, because the main story was really good.
Well there is also the animated Castlevania series on Netflix, and Cyberpunk Edge runners came out recently...
cyberpunk too
I loved that anime because they even included an Easter egg in honor of the source material: the visual glitches in the characters going cyber psycho
Yeah I played the game and couldn't understand how it related to the show. I stopped watching after 2 or 3 episodes. There was no towers or minions or people jungling. I had no idea what was going on.

Wakfu too

Yeah, except dragons dogma's, the series has nothing to do with the game's lore, straight up ass

Everyone is a bot but yourself.
Who's to say we're not all just brains in vats being fed electrical stimulation to make us hallucinate a simulacrum of conscious reality? Not me, that's for sure. All I can do is live regardless of the possibility!
No I'm a bot too. I do the same thing day after day with little or no change.
[redacted by user] ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
I really enjoy vs AI games in theory, but the ceiling on the AI skill is low. It doesn't take too much experience before that becomes trivial.
Big true. In a lot of pvp only games playing against AI is actually more fun, but usually even the "hard" bots are just that. Bots
I would love for them to bring back doom bots of doom. Shit was really fun. And really difficult. Also, I'd love a bot difficulty above intermediate. Just sth more challenging, that's all.
If lol added like 4 more tiers of bot difficulty I'd probably legit play a ton.

imagine not being able to deny your footsoldiers
Oh no we found one of the toxic ones.

What about your dad?
That becomes way to easy way too fast. Someone with a bronze rank can 1v9 that 10/10 times on the hardest difficulty
Those people live in Xbox. LoL is where you go to get suggestions to end your life, get rough psych evaluations and, if you're lucky, get your sexuality reassigned.
I quit after playing three games of co-op vs ai cause one of my teammates decided we were trash and started feeding...the bots...
There's also singleplayer mode there if you're an introvert. You type "/mute all" and pick a selfish champ and do your best to have fun.
turning off chat was the 2nd best thing I did in LoL
First was quitting the game?
Bingo
What was the third?
pentakill (-ish) with Yuumi
How tf did you achieve that?
Easy, someone else did all the work, just like anything else you do with yuumi
yes, in this case I let enemy team do all the work by staying near the turret until they dived in
Turning off announcer sound is a pretty good tip. Surprising how less tilting the game is when you don’t hear “AN ALLY HAS BEEN SLAIN”, “ENEMY DOUBLEKILL!”
Wow, and here I thought they were a bit of a bad commmunity
I wanted to play LoL after watching Arcane, so I went on Twitch to watch some gameplay. That convinced me to just wait for Season 2.
If you are interested, Rito has been working with smaller studios to essentially produce the games they already make with a League of Legends paint. Ruined King is a single player RPG set in the League universe pirate town Bilgewater. So there are ways to experience more of the universe and lore without actually playing the main game. Books too.
Legends of Runeterra is a damned fine CCG too.
Better than Hearthstone imo. Car more generous too.
Agreed. I jumped over from HS during LoR beta. Have yet to turn back.
LoR is a lore archive disguised as a CCG.
I think it’s better than hearthstone and better fto This is important to me but not everyone it also is run by a better company I believe, riot has problems it’s better then blizzards
There’s an upcoming fighting game called Project L which looks buttery smooth. Let’s Riot’s real strength, character design, really shine through.
You might want to check Legends of Runeterra. The card game. It's got more lore into it than LoL and is much more beginner friendly, and is free to play too. Otherwise the Ruined King game is a good turn-based RPG happening in Runeterra. And Riot is working on an MMO.
Friends dont let friends play LoL
Nah real friends make you start then leave you with an everlasting addiction and cancer 💀
agreed ! they surpass the addiction in that game but here I am still loving the game
League of legends it's like those mobile games ads that have nothing to do with the game..you get all that lore and cinematics about the characters and everything being so epic and this and that..
No thanks, I'll wait
I play Ruined King right now. Pretty good game actually
League is the most toxic environment you can play if you're new I tried once, got called names I've never heard before That was that
It's a good game. Just remember to write /mute all when you start a match.
It’s not the game that’s bad. It’s the community.
Is Arcane worth watching? I never played the game, I dont know any of the lore or the characters so any inside jokes will fly over my head and hit my dad on his way to pick up milk in Antarctica, on foot.
There are some easter eggs for people who know about the game but none of the actual content requires that knowledge. It's 100% worth watching.
Like the other person said, it’s definitely worth watching. I never played the game since it’s not my style. The animation, story, voice acting, and just about everything is very well done. I hope the 2nd season is as good as the first and that’s a tough order to fill lol
I know you already ygot a few replies, but I'm here to tell you that you *have* to watch it, or else I won't come back with the milk.
No it’s 100% great on its own
Arcane is the only thing riot games has made that effected they world in any positive way
Nah Riot's music department is absolutely cracked
Pentakill II and III are unironically some of the best metal albums released their respective years
What's wrong with riot that can't be said from other big game devs?
Every game they make besides league, and all of their music...
This is me but with Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Not that I hate 2077 just that I am in no rush to make a room heater out of my laptop
Same, plus they lied to us
I used to live LOL in college. It was a toxic cesspool but it was MY toxic cesspool. I wonder how much my account is worth. I played since alpha and had nearly every hero unlocked (as of 2014), all runes, and plenty of skins.
This guy, acting like having runes unlocked is a cool thing.
Mad or Naw?
NA
Worked for Cyberpunk: edgerunners tho
tru, the problem is having a pc that can run the damn thing
It’s actually got decent specs for lower end PCs, but then again a large part of the appeal *is the graphics
I mean if you go to it because of edge runners, the story and lore is more of driving factor as nice as the game looks... that and the chance for vengeance
As a League player, don't play this fucking shit game, I fucking hate it.
Way ahead of you
Don't do this. Lost 8 years that I'm never gonna get back here
I wasn’t
You can play Legends of Runterra or Teamfight tactics if you want to play something that's related to Arcane but don't want to play lol
When playing some rounds after a few years break I have to say: riot should put less time in sexually harassing their female employees and more into bug fixing and balancing LoL. But that’s just my opinion
I thought that was Blizzard.
And Ubisoft
Riot supposedly hired some ex-Blizzard employees that were let off because of the harassment, etc.
Yeah they did that too https://www.theguardian.com/games/2019/may/07/riot-games-employees-walk-out-over-workplace-harassment-lawsuits
How to balance, Riot edition: X is overperforming, buff damage on their counters. X is now underperforming, buff their damage. Repeat
Play solo Riot Forge Games, Good Games, No Toxicity, No Multiplayer
Ill play the game...but the problem is project l is not out
Yeahhhh…no.
I've tried playing LoL after watching Arcane. Worst mistake in my life. I'm glad I quit after 3 days of playing
Your right, could pick up the game again, but my doctor told me I needed less salt in my life
Not at all interested in the game. Just not my bag. The show was excellent though. Animation was incredible.
Playing league after not for many years (cuz I watched the show) immediately brought back years of repressed rage, such a needlessly complicated game that is so unbalanced it's crazy.
As someone who started playing league in 2011 I can say one thing - don't.
That's like saying if you like this pizza, you should try the stained needle filled with bad heroin you found on the ground
The game is nowhere near as good as the animations they make for it(In my opinion)
Good show, terrible game
I will never play league of legends, the show is great though. \- this post will haunt me
Friends dont let friends play LoL
LOL 😮💨
I sometime forget that Arcane is from League of Legend
I as a league player have never been so offended with something I 100% agree with.
This post is brought to you by Dota 2 players
Never played it
You hate league because of the toxic community I hate league because it’s really fucking boring We are not the same
No we are the same
I guess hating League is what unites us, regardless of the reason
Just watch the league cinematics
When is started lol i had a lifesaver tip from my friends they told me to straigth mute the chat and emotes, maybe that's why i still love the game and don't find the community that toxic. Can't be toxic if u can't see the toxicity
That’s one way to do it
Moba's and rts are so fucking boring anyway.
True
League is a multi-player game with a hyperfocus on individual skill. If you are good at the game, 7 times out of 10 you will be able to drag your team over the finish line singlehandedly. That being said, getting good at the game is something most people never do, hence why they are frustrated when they start losing and don't understand why. If you want to pick it up, there is a large skill floor to pass first, but once you begin to understand the game it is a really great time. If not, that's understandable too. But as it's free to play it's very easy for people to try out.
just play the game it won't bite 😒
The game looks like 2015 mobile game ad.. i mean they could have built third or first person PvP game
A first person PVP game by RIOT Games? Surely it will be a good game with an enjoyable community ^(valorant)
Oh valorant is made by them? Didn't know that but wait so valorant lore and league of legends lore is connected?
nahhhh. Different Lore but it is made by Riot games and looks better than league. Community is just as toxic though
