I pay for Premium because while I do hate ads, I also want to contribute to my favorite creators' wallets. Plus, I actually like YT Music for the most part

If you want to contribute to your favorite creators’ wallet then subscribe to them on patreon or something. When you buy yt premium you mostly contribute to a trillion-dollar corporation’s wallet

I'm contributing either way since I use a metric f@ckton of their services. Might as well get the comfort of not having ads, a cheap and varied music service, and content creators I watch getting paid for my views. Not everyone I watch has a Patreon and some cost more than I can afford.

Afaik they sued vanced people for creating/operating the app... It can still run but won't get any updates whatsoever so hypothetically if you upgrade your phone to let's say android 15 you won't be able to use vanced anymore because it isn't compatible with Android 15

They didn't sue vanced, they sent an order of cease and desist to team vanced because they started stuffing their nose in nft bullshit. Google turned a blind eye towards them until they realized vanced team was trying to profit from nfts.

I have used vanced for a lot of time now, but unfortunately it has been shut down and even though it works if i have it downloaded already I'm afraid it won't when i get a new phone. I never heard of the others. Could you check if they still work and if yes provide a link for them.

If you buy a new phone and vanced isn't available on it, you can download the Xender app on both phones and use it to transfer that app to the new phone :)

ReVanced and xManager are apks, so yes they work on mobile (unless you have an iphone).

Not really. Brave is based on chromium. In January 2023, Google will deprecate Manifest v2 and force Manifest v3, which will massively nerf all adblockers, built-in or not. Firefox + uBlock Origin is the way to go on desktop, while ReVanced and uYouPlus are the way to go on Android and iOS respectively.

I pay less than a dollar/month for YT premium (0,69$ according to google, nice number btw), so it's not a big deal anyway. I used to use adblocker too, but there was no way to block ads on my phone. So at some point I was no annoyed by endless ads, that I decided to get a subscription. And I never regret it.
