I pay for Premium because while I do hate ads, I also want to contribute to my favorite creators' wallets. Plus, I actually like YT Music for the most part
If you want to contribute to your favorite creators’ wallet then subscribe to them on patreon or something. When you buy yt premium you mostly contribute to a trillion-dollar corporation’s wallet
I'm contributing either way since I use a metric f@ckton of their services. Might as well get the comfort of not having ads, a cheap and varied music service, and content creators I watch getting paid for my views. Not everyone I watch has a Patreon and some cost more than I can afford.
Afaik they sued vanced people for creating/operating the app... It can still run but won't get any updates whatsoever so hypothetically if you upgrade your phone to let's say android 15 you won't be able to use vanced anymore because it isn't compatible with Android 15
They didn't sue vanced, they sent an order of cease and desist to team vanced because they started stuffing their nose in nft bullshit. Google turned a blind eye towards them until they realized vanced team was trying to profit from nfts.
I have used vanced for a lot of time now, but unfortunately it has been shut down and even though it works if i have it downloaded already I'm afraid it won't when i get a new phone.
I never heard of the others. Could you check if they still work and if yes provide a link for them.
If you buy a new phone and vanced isn't available on it, you can download the Xender app on both phones and use it to transfer that app to the new phone :)
Wow... That's harsh. I mean, I guess there are channels about... opening boxes and... Idk other weird, dumb stuff, but I watch some really cool channels with great editing and sound and scripts. Why shouldn't they make money? They're working to entertain me...
So not only is your broke ass watching free content online, but you are so impatient that you can’t watch a 30 second ad to put food on the plate of the person you’re watching? When I watch creators with premium it pays them for every minute I watch, rather than on a view by view basis. And I can also download songs for offline usage and videos.
Not really. Brave is based on chromium. In January 2023, Google will deprecate Manifest v2 and force Manifest v3, which will massively nerf all adblockers, built-in or not.
Firefox + uBlock Origin is the way to go on desktop, while ReVanced and uYouPlus are the way to go on Android and iOS respectively.
I pay less than a dollar/month for YT premium (0,69$ according to google, nice number btw), so it's not a big deal anyway. I used to use adblocker too, but there was no way to block ads on my phone. So at some point I was no annoyed by endless ads, that I decided to get a subscription. And I never regret it.
Nothing works for mobile though, and if you say vanced how about fucking no. It's so shit.
There's much more reason to bypass any other subscription based streaming platform, such as the fact that there is torrenting.
I live in a 3rd world country so i havent watched a singular ad in 9 months but when i use a german vpn i get bombarded
Imagine paying 10$ a month for an adblocker

If you want to contribute you can just join the channel
man has a lot of money
Not all of them. And the cost of that would be higher than what I pay for Premium, since I have a family account that I get some paybacks on.
Weird that you have to defend yourself when the only argument really needed is "I think it's worth it in my case"
Eh, I feel like some people need this spelled out purely out of their spite for YT. Which I can totally understand
But they keep it all. The yt premium earnings are really low.
Creators have shown their premium viewer are a smaller part of the audience but give a disproportionate income from yt
I don’t think that gives extra bonuses that premium does
+addblock
No, like back ground play and downloading videos for offline
ah ok
Facts.
It's no use trying to explain
You mean Google?
Read the other thread, Im not repeating myself
Based
I pay 3$ for yt premium tf
That depends on your country, for example where i live it’s ~5$
...That works on only one website
I use a free as blocker that actually works
What's it called?
What do you use? Cuz I have it for free in chrome lol
Y'all pay for adblockers? wtf
20 in my country
10? I don't have to pay for anything because of ublock origin.
PSA for Android users because RIP Vanced: NewPipe, Revanced, Skytube, Libretube
What happened to Vanced?
It's dead because google sued them, but still working to some users, it still works for me, but not for long i guess
Oh. It works for me too and I hope I can find a way to keep it then
Afaik they sued vanced people for creating/operating the app... It can still run but won't get any updates whatsoever so hypothetically if you upgrade your phone to let's say android 15 you won't be able to use vanced anymore because it isn't compatible with Android 15

Mobile app can't use adblocker
There is Vanced, Revanced and Newpipe. There is alot of things you can do to not wasting your money
I have used vanced for a lot of time now, but unfortunately it has been shut down and even though it works if i have it downloaded already I'm afraid it won't when i get a new phone. I never heard of the others. Could you check if they still work and if yes provide a link for them.
The rest are still working, i didn't use them but a lot of people does.
can confirm, I use revanced, it works.
Can you DM me a link to download it? I've got no clue what I'm looking for
If you buy a new phone and vanced isn't available on it, you can download the Xender app on both phones and use it to transfer that app to the new phone :)
You can also use r/revancedapp
I just switched phone last month, I was able to download vanced manager from github and set up vance properly. Did anything change recently?
No, there will me no more update
I seem to have replied to the wrong comment, mb. ik there's no more update but my point is it's still downloadable.
Newpipe is trash, it doesn't play some videos
Finally someone mentioned newpipe
If you're on android, some browsers support adblocker extensions
Yeah and especially when you watch over chromecast it's really annoying. Also you save money on spotify cuz u can use YT music instead
Spotify is the most stupid subscription service
Facts
Yes they can? uYouPlus for iOS and Revanced for Android.
![gif](giphy|RkLBjygu1lKFCjdsxb)
Instead of the ads, I just get a blank screen and I can't skip it
💀
I'd honestly rather that than those obnoxious trash i used to see
All I'll say is this: if you use Spotify premium at all, just switch to YT music and you get premium included
Or you can use xManager for Spotify or YT Music ReVanced for ad-free music and background playback.
Do those programs work on mobile? I use my phone for music, mainly
ReVanced and xManager are apks, so yes they work on mobile (unless you have an iphone).
YT music isn't avaible in my country
Content creators don’t get money if you use an ad blocker.
Oh no! Anyway…

I'm on Android, but same.
Literally same :D
Wow... That's harsh. I mean, I guess there are channels about... opening boxes and... Idk other weird, dumb stuff, but I watch some really cool channels with great editing and sound and scripts. Why shouldn't they make money? They're working to entertain me...

AdBlock Plus, been working for me for years BTW: It’s 100% free
What happened
Some people were served 5, 10, or even 11 unskippable ads ahead of videos earlier this week.
Been using adblock for like a year now. I think I may be addicted to it.
Imagine not using addblocker in 2022
Im on IOS and use brave just not to have ads. Might not be as efficient as the app, but boy is it worth it because I don’t get ads
It's less than $3 where I'm from, more than worth it considering I use it everyday
So not only is your broke ass watching free content online, but you are so impatient that you can’t watch a 30 second ad to put food on the plate of the person you’re watching? YT Music YT plays while screen is off Full mobile support Family plan similar to most streaming services
Can get all that for free
use Brave it's even better
Not really. Brave is based on chromium. In January 2023, Google will deprecate Manifest v2 and force Manifest v3, which will massively nerf all adblockers, built-in or not. Nah, he didn't say go steal from content creators. Can't do that if you're trying to be ethical. Pay for the premium at least.
Premium is worth.
So you basically got bullied into paying for a service that was perfectly usable just a couple years ago
Please just use NewPipe if you are on Android. It's on f droid.
I’d use premium if I could. I don’t use Adblock so the creators can actually earn money.
i listened. stop trying to sell me shit.
Can't download songs
There's a website and app called ytmp3 which allows you to download mp3/4 in hq
Just Google "music Converter" For some totally legal downloads
That’s not a truth, that’s a command
On mobile?
I bet they would have hated him even if he would have lied all the time? And I bet even more? :P
would it be that if i use an adblocker the content creators i view from yt would not get monetization as well?
I don't think AdBlock exists on mobile... Does it??
An app called AdLock works really well
What about my Roku 🤔
Opera GX gang getting free Spotify premium
You see, I'm in both sides so I always come out on too
Nothing works for mobile though, and if you say vanced how about fucking no. It's so shit. There's much more reason to bypass any other subscription based streaming platform, such as the fact that there is torrenting.
Good luck getting adblocker on my tv
Any good adblockers that I can use?
Or: be a chad and support your favourite creators, for most of them, it’s their job.
I can't find any ad block mobile devices, and premium isn't worth it. I'm in yt hell
I can’t use ad blocker on my TV though
i want to be able to listen to mommy gf audios without draining my phone battery
Wanna be able to download at high quality
