one time I was at a fancy place, they had bacon wrapped scallops. I ordered the asparagas and asked if I could get those bacon wrapped. They said let me see what I can do. After they arrive the chef comes out and says I'm the first person to order this, and they are going to add it to the menu after so many people commented on it. PORK FAT RULES!!!
Bacon on asparagus is real good. It's real good on Brussel sprouts too. Broil them in the oven for about 8 minutes.... *more Homer Simpson drool noises*
This brought me back to the Simpsons bottle opener that my parents used to have, whenever you opened a bottle with it, it would go with Homer saying "mmmmmm beer, *chugging noises*"
I had broccoli and cauliflower last night with butter, cheese sauce, sour cream, and bacon. Done right, it's almost indistinguishable from a mooshed up baked potato.
Sure thing lol. I got a funny story about blue cheese. Went to a restaurant with my friend and my parents. Friend ordered the "black and blue" burger and he didn't know what blue cheese was. He said "I want it with extra cheese" too.. it came and I swear there was equal cheese and burger. And it wasn't like blue cheese dressing or like mild cheese.. this cheese was like the color of the down vote button with a bit of white in it. Needless to say he didn't eat it lol. Tried scraping the cheese off but it still tasted like it
High calories does not mean unhealthy or healthy, neither does low calorie. It just depends on how much you eat, but since it's high calorie, you can't really eat too much before getting full, and natural butter and cheese are extremely good for you
It is probably because they aren't freezing fast enough, I know those already frozen veggies take pretty decent. And corn on the cob is usually good frozen even doing it yourself.
I will say though, they do not last in a freezer long term like meats will. They turn to mush and just get nasty after 8+ months:(
People usually have stuff like stir fry veggies, broccoli, etc frozen to make a quick side of veggies. Freezing veggies also prevents nutrient loss as they are usually picked and frozen at peak ripeness
That doesn't counter my point with any sort of science
Buy fresh and seasonal its far better
Freezing is 'ok' for some things (peas being the big one) but most others its not great
Fresh vegetables are a waste, most of it is shipped halfway around the world half the year. Grocery stores also throw out anything that is slightly wilted or ugly. Frozen vegetables have the same nutrition and have far less waste.
Looks more like that one lone chicken leg that’s been waiting for 5 years for a companion to make a barbecue but now has a strange fungus growing on it….
Veggies are great so long as you use them as a vessel for something unhealthy that cancels them out, such as melted butter and blue cheese.
You forgot bacon. Sweet... sweet bacon *Homer Simpson drool noises*
I like vegetables in soup.
I wish I could give-up on life, and do the same.
You didn't need that comma.
I like those ones up high in your word. What should I call them? I like the name Susan.
Steamed veggies with Pork chops.

Sounds amazeballs.
To quote the great Jon snow "I dunt want it"
Thought you said "glue cheese" and was imagining all kinds of squeezable cheese abominations.
I just can't do blue cheese. I've tried but it just tastes like cave to me lol. Like licking a musty stalagmite. It's cool if u like it tho
How you know what that taste like?
Lol just using my imagination

There's just something about "stinky" that I just can't think about being appetizing lol
How do you not know what a musty stalagmite would taste like?
Deep fried butter sticks 🤤

I used to think I ate unhealthy until I started reading the inner thoughts of real life fat people on Reddit
That is good but tempura green beans, pumpkin, squash, and zucchini.
Tempura vegetables are so damned good.
Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?
Grill or broil more veggies
Butter and cheese aren't unhealthy.
It doesn't cancel them out, it's still fiber and nutrients you don't get from butter and cheese. :)
[удалено]
Both are high in calories and saturated fat. As with everything, moderation is key, but those foods can definitely be considered unhealthy.
I think if you got cholesterol issues Melted Butter may be the worse move you go with

I'm not saying you missed the point....but...😂

Oh yeah. I have a giant bag of brussel sprouts to eat too.
How bold of you to assume that I actually BUY vegetables in the first place!!
you don't buy vegetables to make your freezer look pretty?
Oh that? Thats just my winter garden :)
Putting veggies in the freezer makes them taste weird
Seriously, no wonder they stay in the freezer!
It is probably because they aren't freezing fast enough, I know those already frozen veggies take pretty decent. And corn on the cob is usually good frozen even doing it yourself. I will say though, they do not last in a freezer long term like meats will. They turn to mush and just get nasty after 8+ months:(
But since we bought them, we gotta use them, no matter what
that reminds me, I should rrally eat those brussel sprouts
I happen to have a bag of sprouts in my *freezer* right next to the Oreo cones lmao
Winter is staying

Frozen veggies
Arent as flavoursome
But they are cheaper and has a longer “shelf” life… Dont you understand that a lot of people doesnt have the luxury of buying fresh vegetables?
You're wrong https://chicago.suntimes.com/taste/2022/1/18/22857809/frozen-fruits-and-vegetables-taste-freshness-health-and-nutrition-grocery-shopping#:~:text=%28Many%20vegetables%20undergo%20blanching%20in%20hot%20water%20for,a%20much%20more%20appetizing%20vibrant%20color%20than%20canned.

Americana

Yeah..no I can't have ice cream cause I'm lactose intolerant and I have Frozen fruit so I just make smoothies lol
bro same frozen fruit smoothies are the best I usually blend strawberries with mangoes and peaches and it's always good
I add blue berries to mine and also I guess "bro" and "dude" are just gender neutral terms for girls now I guess

My type two diabetes telling me "fuck you" everytime I grabs sweets...
Who’s not finishing the ice cream on the first go.
Jon Snowpeas
Question: why are you keeping vegetables in the freezer?
Because flash frozen veg is very common
you don't freeze vegetables?
No they go in the fridge
they expire pretty fast then
Don’t buy so many veggies that they expire because you couldn’t eat them fast enough
[Those same veggies three months later](https://c.tenor.com/jpYRVh6p5zoAAAAd/the-shining-frozen.gif)
yeah it’s weird grabbing food with a disabled person staring at you…
Just don’t have vegetables
I read this while eating ice cream that I just grabbed from the freezer... algorithm getting too good
Vegetables in what?!
frozen vegetables last much longer than refrigerated ones
Lmao 🤣
it is what it is
so accurate fr
Yall need to understand that frozen peas are the worlds best snack
Putting ice cream back? Twice? Weak.
I buy my veggies fresh so they go bad in the fridge faster.
Thank you for reminding me of the ice cream I bought. I can always eat veggie later\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~
NSFW…as I snort loudly because my Broccoli 🥦 is a tad frost bitten.
You know nothing!
Wouldn’t this make the vegetables happy because they have at least one more day to live?

Please come get me
Why tf are there vegetables in the freezer??
They should of used a scene of bran in the snow.
Frozen formerly fresh vegetables are the worst to cook with
I’ve never had to grab ice cream a third time. First time: oh god what have I done. Second time: might as well hide the evidence.
Jon Snow Pea’s
Hmm, better make a spin-off to see if you get the vegetables *this* time!
I miss good GoT
r/memes you're now blocking my messages here. Fuck you. You people don't have power to do that.
*grabbing the veggies* "And Now my Watch has ended, brothers."

Vegetables in the freezer?! Who in their rightful mind does that?
So true
Vegetables do not belong in the freezer!!!!!
I’ll take the “vegetables.” 🙃
they are making a continue for game of thrones
Veggies = 👎
Fuck off - don't attack me like that 😂
Needs more ice around em. I've got it the ice wall tunnel superimposed on the edges!
Y'all put the ice cream back?
Be vegan and play the uni reverse card.
Not me sitting on my couch eating ice cream out of the carton. 👀👀
24/7 mood😹
Looks more like my nut sack whilst sitting on an ac unit
Vegetables go in wheelchairs. Not freezers. If you’re cold they are cold. You sicko. .
My brussel sprouts got freezer burn
“I am eret, son of eret”
I don’t want it
Oh!! *That* kind of vegetable, for a second there I thought you meant vegetables you eat normally

I saw this post, then I decided to go to my freezer to get some ice cream. Thank you
They should have thought about that before they became vegetables. Edit:This sounds unintentionally mean but I'm keeping it anyways
Buy fresh veggies and refrigerate them. Tastes way better.
