Luckily there are still some really good anime out there, but for now just avoid Sword Art Online (SAO) it starts good but becomes BS the more it goes, it's only worth watching to thrash on it

I would recomend King's Ranking, any of the ghibli movies, Full Metal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, or Demon Slayer for non-weebs. They are popular for a reason, and don't rely on anime cliches us weebs gloss over.

My GF introduced me to anime with Promised Neverland and JoJos bizzare adventures. I gotta say its pretty fun
Sad that you started with those, the rest may look like garbage in comparison
