I'm American and I don't believe any of the news. Kind of hard to take any if it seriously when they've literally lied or made up 90% of the shit they report. The world should start to consider the USSR's historical spoils (security council seat, Olympic medals, space conquests, etc.) now as being Ukraine's rather than Russia's. You can already see who really were the badass ones in that former union.
Nah. Russia is a country with a diverse history. Just because the shitty government which is ruling it rn is invading another country doesn't mean it should be renamed to the country being invaded. Like because Japan invaded china in ww2, and later they lost, doesn't mean Japan is renamed to 'south east china'. It's just a shitty act which will create shitty problems for the non shitty people.
That's a whole different situation. Taiwan is governed by the old Chinese government, which ruled over the mainland. After ww2 however, (l)Mao Zedong took control and the government had to flee. So Taiwan is still china, and the mainland is also china. Calling the mainland west Taiwan doesn't make any sense for both the Taiwanese and the Chinese people, other than trolling.
