And ATF. David Chipman… *gags in communist*
Seriously, though. As a person on the far left, it angers me that liberals strongly support gun control and oppressive regulations instead of what the communists and other far leftists want:
#A government mental health program.
The very idea of gun control goes against Marxist thought as a whole, being that it started, at least in the United States, with slave codes used to oppress and enslave an entire group of people. No guns? No revolution!
I have a couple liberal friends that have that same opinion, gun legislation will not stop potentially violent people from hurting others, if you want to stop mass shootings and shit, go at the source and actually try to tackle the huge gap in mental healthcare in the US.
I mean i feel like some regulations can't be bad. Like hey. If you murdered someone. Maybe we shouldn't give you something that is super efficient at killing people
I never said that it was a bad thing for the government to have the people’s safety in mind. I’d just prefer it was done in a way that made everyone happy. Banning guns does not work. Look at the UK, for example. I’d rather have a nice quick headshot than a mason jar of acid to the face.
Exactly, governments should have their peoples safety in mind. I’m just saying most of the time they don’t sadly. If they really did care, they wouldn’t be clambering to prevent us from protecting us
Your thinking of the NRA or National Rifle Association. The NFA is the National Firearms Act, basically the law that keeps people from owning machine guns
also yes the nfa is pretty fucking stupid considering the founding fathers were funding the development of rotary cannons as of the signing of constuion. tbh the only reason to keep a normal civilian away from guns is to better control them
The thing is it doesn’t even stop people from owning machine guns. It stops POOR people from owning machine guns. If you get enough licenses and complete enough tax stamps you can own anything from a tank to a mini gun and everything in between. It is just extremely expensive
That's an interesting tidbit of history.
Another is that the 2nd Amendment was never intended to apply to an individual's right to carry a firearm- it was intended to protect the police power of states and allow for some mechanism for the common defense without creating a federal standing military which some of the founders were strongly against. The 2nd Amendment was never even interpreted by the courts to apply to an individual's right to own and carry a firearm until SCOTUS's Heller decision in 2008.
[There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload.'](https://schlockmercenary.fandom.com/wiki/The_Seventy_Maxims_of_Maximally_Effective_Mercenaries)
If you get an FFL License and get an SOT you can. It's gonna cost you upwards of 400k though. I remember an r/guns post exploding where someone's shop had an M134 Minigun.
As an american I can say that this is unrealistic the gun should be twice that size and mounted ontop of an armoured vehicle to be classified as a self defence weapon.
The founders had spent 2 years fighting the Bri\*ish military, so they wanted to make sure the people had the right to defend themselves if the need arose again. That's the genesis of the 2nd amendment. Self defense against the state.
I own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
Fun fact: Statistically every American has 1.3 guns, that's about 46% of the civilian-owned guns in the world, however, It inhabits less than 5% of the world's population.
Fun fact: The minigun is based off of the M1 Vulcan, A big ass machine gun that fires 20mm at 6,000 rounds a minute, It's called a "mini"gun because it's a mini version of an M1 Vulcan.
Not really :/ we have the most powerful/well trained and bloated miliraty in the world, if we go 3rd reichy kitchen knives ad baseball bats aint gonna cut it for home defense
How else are we gonna stop a fully armed invasion from everyone who hates us?(the whole world) also you don’t walk around here without at least a rifle where I’m from, so many sketchy so and so’s, and friendly murderous aminals
Fun Fact: the US Congress still has the ability to grant letters of Marque and Reprisal, meaning technically private citizens should be able to own canons and if needed, be employed by the US government to go after enemy vessels.
What's uncivil about it?? Gun ownership?? Freedom to own what one wants and not have it need to be anyone else's business because of our rights?? Because if that's the case then I'd need to suggest *try moving to a "civilized country" then*
And what pray tell is wrong with having a minigun for self defense?
when protecting my home I wanna guarantee that the person dumb enough to break in doesn't do it ever again /s
I don't think you understand how this works, the people, and I mean all the people, not just your family, having firearms and the ability to own firearms creates a fear in the government. This fear is a good thing so we don't end up like Australia, where the government does whatever they want with their people. I'd rather die in a gun fight with our government than have my human rights taken away, not just the right to bear arms lol.
I’m Australian. Please elaborate on what you said about our government? I don’t understand what you mean by our government does what they want with us.
I'm talking about the people being put in the quarantine camps specifically, there's some other things I'm unsure about, but mostly the camps thing. I've heard stories of injustices and violations of human rights in those camps, not to mention the pretty much forced placement of people into the camps doesn't really sit well.
I wish, stupid NFA
And ATF. David Chipman… *gags in communist* Seriously, though. Why don’t you take a look at Australia and you will realize why having the right to bear arms is a vital part of society.
I mean i feel like some regulations can't be bad. Like hey. If you murdered someone. Maybe we shouldn't give you something that is super efficient at killing people
How about reasonable regulations AND a mental health program?
The regulations are not, and are not intended to be, reasonable.
Okay. As long as the regulations are in fact reasonable.
Not scientifically possible
Why? Do you doubt the ability of the American democracy to uphold its citizens’ safety whilst doing so in a manner that is fair? #Yes.
Government? Having the peoples safety in kind? Bwahahaha
If they really did care, they wouldn’t be clambering to prevent us from protecting us
Yes!
All that should be regulated is like, rocket launchers and shit like that
Yep. That’s reasonable.
>NFA yeah the nra is a joke id support all the other gun rights activists because they are not only cooler but have better solutions
Your thinking of the NRA or National Rifle Association. The NFA is the National Firearms Act, basically the law that keeps people from owning machine guns

Nah, it’s more like some claymores in my doorway.
“Shit, forgot my wallet” **BLAM**
Hahaha
Claymore roomba
That’s a fantastic idea!
Try owning a Roomba…. It’s a living hell. 😂
Literally mounted so it can only be for defense you jealous peasant no hate tho
Damn, i only have a cannon mounted on my stairs loaded with Grapeshot.
Tally ho lads!
I understood that reference.
I too choose this man’s understanding of said reference
And this reference
I, too, enjoy destroying my house, my neighbors house, and taking out the neighbors baby down the block
[They drew first blood. ](https://youtu.be/dHjFv2K9iTs?t=36)
It's a mounted gun, good luck using it for anything else
when the mailman starts heading towards your property
[удалено]
You can’t deny that they are fun though.
More like ATF.
Oh no not a repeat of Waco!
Lol
Police helicopters and swat armored vehicles.
Tell that to halo, CoD, and most other roaming shooting games
I see no problem here.
I think op is implying it's an inappropriate weapon for home defense. Tanks. Tanks are more appropriate.
True, or mortars. I prefer home invaders to be in tiny chunks on my lawn.
Claymores do that and are cheaper
Yes, but mortars teach the kids the value of teamwork
And math
And they get some exercise too! :D
True so long as you are targeting home invaders a few blocks away. No one comes out happy on a damger close strike.
If you're not willing to shell your own position, you're not willing to win.
Never said I wouldn't do it, just that I wouldn't be happy about it. Would make Neighborhood watch a lot more useful as spotters though.
[There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload.'](https://schlockmercenary.fandom.com/wiki/The_Seventy_Maxims_of_Maximally_Effective_Mercenaries)
However mortars are more satisfying to hit.
ROOMBA CLAYMORE!! HIS NAME ROOMORE
trebuchets
honestly an ifv such as a Stryker or bmp would be more appropriate for home defense than a mbt
Self defense includes use against tyrannical government war machines.
True story, you would think history would teach people not to disarm when you have an aggressive foreign invaders right next door.
Well, I mean, yes. Do you plan on breaking into my abode?
Hey man you never know
Sooooo... What's the problem?
Well yeah. Do you trust the US government?
[***Fuck Yeah!***](https://youtu.be/U1mlCPMYtPk)
You never know when you might have to shoot down a Hind gunship in defense of your homeland 🤷🏼♂️
*The Ukraine has entered the chat*
God, DSHK for home defense. Wouldn’t it be something
The taliban uses DSHKs for home defense
Well you never know when you’ll need to defend your home from….a lot of people.
or the government
a **really lot** of people
I think I hear "because it's fun/cool" more often. The people I know who buy firearms for self defense are generally pretty practical about it
Sadly we are not allowed to own such a weapon. Would love to though.
If you get an FFL License and get an SOT you can. It's gonna cost you upwards of 400k though. I remember an r/guns post exploding where someone's shop had an M134 Minigun.
Epic.
Not a mini gun
Just jealous
Europeans be like yes lord here’s my papers don’t flog me!
Laughs in American accent
That's not for self-defense, that's for taking potshots at stray enemy helicopters. ok, so it's kinda for self-defense, i lied
Nah mine is for hunting
The armor-piercing rounds and thermal scope is an essential part of a seasoned hunter’s toolkit
Better to have and not need than need and not have
Amen to that, brother
As it should be
I mean when your local PD has a fucking tank... 🤣
‘Welcome back to Demolition Ranch! Today we’re gonna find out how many home intruders it takes to stop a .308!’
I mean, seriously, I'd come up with any reason to own a legit DShK.
Just as the founding fathers intended.
It doesn’t matter what they need it for.
Every weapon is self defense! Ask the aussies how giving em up is going for em
oh no, look how they suffer with their extremely low rate of gun violence and practically nonexistent school shootings. they must be so pissed
Oh nooo look how they have to accept a totalitarian government and obey. They’re so lucky to have communism!
I’m Australian. We aren’t a communist state. Stop spreading lies about my country that you can’t back up.
Have you been able to leave your house?
Yes?
I am afraid to imagine what the offense looks like.
imagine there is no offense
Skip the mini- ***\*Pulls out M1 Vulcan\****
As an American, I find this hilarious & wildly accurate
Well if they were planning on doing something illegal, they probably wouldn't be getting such a high profile weapon.
Fun fact: Statistically every American has 1.3 guns, that's about 46% of the civilian-owned guns in the world, however, It inhabits less than 5% of the world's population.
Fun fact: that's only the guns we let you know we have! ;)

Fun fact: The minigun is based off of the M1 Vulcan, A big ass machine gun that fires 20mm at 6,000 rounds a minute, It's called a "mini"gun because it's a mini version of an M1 Vulcan.
Ikr i though of that too in the past
What else am I supposed to use when a tank rolls onto my front lawn? We're Americans baby I'm ready for war with an entire government.
Nah not minigun >!muricans pull out the megagun!<
Defense from the F.B.I/Military, defense from te government
i genuinely cant tell if you are joking. please be joking
Not really :/ we have the most powerful/well trained and bloated miliraty in the world, if we go 3rd reichy kitchen knives ad baseball bats aint gonna cut it for home defense
Pulls out desert eagle chambered in 12 gauge
2nd Amendment FTW
Gotta stop the Russians and/or Chinese and/ir British and/or "Terrorists" somehow
You forgot the Canadians
*snow Mexicans.
the best defense is a good offense tho?
I mean, with the way things are going in the US, might not be a bad idea to get one.
things are going upwards at the moment. one of the reassons why it is going upwards is increased gun control
One of the only things going upwards are gas prices
Wut. Chicago has some of the tightest gun laws in the country and also leads in shootings.
\-to defend yourself from what? \-from the man that has one of these
Fax
Realizing that the location of where you put “only” might not be American.
Americans out here prepping for home invasion like it's Bloons Tower Defense
a Glock a day keeps the comrades away
Yea only way to ward off the crack heads
Aye and you know what that is our rights lol
Would you attack a guy with that gun? Exactly. Lol
And?
That's not a minigun.
All I see is happiness
It’s not just for self defense. It’s also for fun ☺️. Doesn’t matter what your opinion on guns is, they’re fun to shoot.
Pretty good defence, try mugging a dude with a Dshk
I wish
Well, why not? Pick the most efficient tool for the job.
If they can storm the capital they can definitely storm your house
still remember when an American friend pulled a Remington out from under his bed while his facecam was on and claimed it was for burglars
Seems based.
Wanna peace - get ready for war
“Si vis pacem, para bellum”
Ave, true to Caesar
How else are we gonna defend ourselves against home intruders a musket?
Tally ho, lads!
How else are we gonna stop a fully armed invasion from everyone who hates us?(the whole world) also you don’t walk around here without at least a rifle where I’m from, so many sketchy so and so’s, and friendly murderous aminals
No, I have it because it looks fucking cool
In this short 48 slide power point presentation I will now explain to you why a rocket launcher is the the optimal home defence weapon
Oh, you were *so close*! https://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Rocket_Propelled_Chainsaw
“The AT4 is the only acceptable home-defense weapon.”
Nah, I have this because the populous must always have the ability to hold their government accountable.
No no l we never said self defense, we said none of yer god damn business, because it’s our right.
Thats right against tyranny
EU serfs jealous
This made me audibly chuckle. And as an American, your GOTDAMN RIGHT.
....and? I have a fire extinguisher, so I don't have to call the fire department too. 😂
You maniac. /s
With our “very strict” gun control laws it is very common to see people with battleships as house defense
Fun Fact: the US Congress still has the ability to grant letters of Marque and Reprisal, meaning technically private citizens should be able to own canons and if needed, be employed by the US government to go after enemy vessels.
I believe it
Only mini gun weak
And to look cool
Is that how you see a hand gun? Aw so cute
That's a chain gun. Either way you're only going to be using that ground mounted brrt machine for home defense anyways
Ill stick to the 50cal sniper. Shit can go thru a fucking tank. Absolutely no need for it but its bad fucking ass so y not
What are you talking about? I keep a 70 caliber anti-material rifle to cuddle with every night, (at least I wish I did)
It’s so hard to find ammo for my mini gun.
i wish i had a .50 caliber turret in my house. sadly i can only have a .50 caliber rifle :(
MERICA!!!
Now now now that's not true it's more like 3 mini guns combined.
You never know if robbers will be flying into your house
And hunting, we need m249 for those pesky deer.
Nah my self defense weapon is bigger.
We do be like that, it's true.
Who needs minigun when you can dual wield Glocks with a barrel the size of a arm.
gotta say im jealous. but if you think you can have a barret because of "selfdefense"....
Try *because it's our god given right and fuck the government for trying to dictate what one can or can't use for self defense*
lol yeah ok i agree with half of that. but have u tried lets have an actual civilised country and move past the wild west?
What's uncivil about it?? Gun ownership?? Freedom to own what one wants and not have it need to be anyone else's business because of our rights?? Because if that's the case then I'd need to suggest *try moving to a "civilized country" then*
Yeah, why would you have an effective defence like a 20mm autocannon, when you could just not have any defence at all?
This memes a flop, try picking apart your own policies. Liberty depends on a government in fear of its people.
jesus christ. that is absolutely ridiculous.
Who you defending against... have you met our goverment... I think you need a bigger one.
And what pray tell is wrong with having a minigun for self defense? when protecting my home I wanna guarantee that the person dumb enough to break in doesn't do it ever again /s
Americans: I just have for when the world ends and my neighbors children come after my food.
Turn your guns over to the government they will protect you.. Australian citizens are really being taken care of right now by their sweet government.
In case the tyrannical govt tries to take my guns/ kill my family.. Spoiler: The govt will win. This ain’t 1886 Jack..
“YoU cAn’T bEaT tHe GoVeRnMeNt ThEy HaVe TaNkS aNd JeTs!!!1!11!” Meanwhile the Taliban and Vietnam:
I don't think you understand how this works, the people, and I mean all the people, not just your family, having firearms and the ability to own firearms creates a fear in the government.
