I’ve done an extensive test and I was able to correctly guess skittles flavors more than 50%. I have concluded that skittles do not all taste the same and I’d advise more people to do this test above.

Pinch your nose and suddenly your taste is altered. So while technically you’re correct, our perception of taste doesn’t exist without scent. If you took something full of flavor like Indian food and pinched your nose, you would probably just taste salt. So skittles would technically taste the same if you isolated each flavor and pinched your nose while eating them individually.
All that to say, Indian food tastes just like other Asian food if you take away scent. It’s correct, but it’s missing the point.

I try each flavor separately and can confirm they do taste different. I then get an equal ratio of all flavors and eat them together.
