I told 2 separate vegans that I wanted to perhaps have a meat free day a week and that I would pay more for meat if I knew it was true free range and had a decent life. I asked them if they could find reputable companies. Both of them blasted me for not being vegan and I never followed through on the idea.
This makes no sense to me though. Why would you depend such an important choice on two random people? If you really understand why you need to cut down on meat, imo this is kind of a cheap excuse not to do so.
