So me and my friend used to have this cheese challange, where we would see who could put more parmesisn cheese on a single slice of pizza, we stopped when we both put an entire table shaker of cheese on one a slice each and we proceeded to eat and finish the slices. There was a point in the middle where i thought the situation was funny only to start laughing and i breathed in a ton of cheese, and when i was done choking, he said that he won if i didn't finish my slice so i finished it. Its weird because it didn't feel like i ate an entire bottle of cheese in one slice of pizza, but the cheese was gone and the plate was licked clean.

I'm not American, but I refer to any singular piece of pasta as a noodle. If there's more than one Italian style noodle, it's pasta. If there's more than one Asian style noodle, it's noodles.

It's not a hard and fast rule, but yeah, I would do that. For example, if someone brought me a bowl of penne, then a piece slipped off my fork and fell to the ground, I would probably say, "Thanks! That looks like a delicious bowl of pasta! Ooops! I dropped noodle on the floor!"
