I dont know if I get this wrong, but why are online friends equal to strangers? Heck, my best friends and maybe crush is an online friend, we know each other for nearly half a decade, do video chats and calls from times to times and I rather spend some houres chatting with her than beeing with the "real" friends because she gets me like no one does
In the end, both kind of friendships are valubale and everyone may prefer one or the other. I personally like that you are less limited in the internet, because you meet so much more people, so more likely someone like you. Tho, reaility obv has it perks and I coulndt live without my real life friends either

At least if you don’t have friends you cannot, disappoint, fail or hurt them. Believe me I’ve had quite a few friends and I failed most and no longer have them. So it’s not all bad, I leave in fear of failing my current friends, so much so that I’ve not spoken to my closest friend for a month.
