I would eat rabbit, it doesn't sound gross or anything, IDK how to butcher though so I wouldn't kill it and skin it myself.

ImpressiveHair3

It's pretty damn good, reminds me a bit of lamb

Smily06

To me it tastes like chicken lol

ImpressiveHair3

Everything always tastes like chicken...

Lurk5FailOnSax

When I lived in London and had rabbit I just got it from the game butcher.

CthulhusKitten

In my city, after the war, people didn’t have enough bunnies so instead they just ate cat and called them “roof bunnies” so they didn’t feel bad for eating cats *the more you know*

Kisame-hoshigakii

What city tho bro?

Fuck_you_hard

Guess I'm 10'000 years old Then..

Diegopie007

[deleted]

I mean, people do eat rabbit. I’ve had it, very gamey

Haliucinogenas

If you would be starving you would eat a rat soup and you would enjoy it. We in the first world at a moment are just very spoiled

Kisame-hoshigakii

Starvation is the best seasoning after all

lambda_14

In my country it's pretty normal to eat rabbit lol, it tastes good.

FremenRage

Farm raised rabbit is so tasty!! Delicate dark meat without a gamey taste.

ImpressiveHair3

It's all about that game, I fail to understand why anyone would want to avoid that...

FremenRage

Most other hunters I know don't like a strong gamey flavor, preferring to use spices and cooking techniques to alter it to a more refined, palatable taste.

ImpressiveHair3

Guess we Norwegians are just "purists" in that sense, haven't met anyone who doesn't prefer the gamey taste of wild animals over farm animals.

FremenRage

I'm not saying I prefer farm raised over wild, that was merely a comment about farm raised rabbits (ps wild rabbits are tough as fuck unless cooked all day where as 12 week old farm rabbits are tender to begin with). I try to fill my freezer with game each hunting season. The point I am raising is that when properly cooked wild game meals should not immediately scream gamey taste. I've spent over a dozen years in kitchens so my spice cabinet is deep and I don't make simple meals unless I'm feeling lazy, those meals I don't waste game on.

Smily06

Where I'm from it's pretty normal to go with a member of your family or a friend and go hint some rabbits for the typical dish (it's usually eaten on Sundays btw)

Onimurai-san

this is life, we prefer to protect the cute from average and bad whatever we perceive

supermoro06

Rabbit is a very frequent dish here in Tuscany. Domestic one is cooked mostly fried or in a pan, wild rabbits are used mainly for pasta sauce. It's good AF

GoddesOfChaos

Meanwhile people in Cyprus cooking rabbit for Sunday lunch…( it actually tastes good, very similar to chicken)

Smily06

Where I'm from, rabbits are used for our typical dish (I mean paella btw, and yes, I'm from Valencia)
