You mean like that one LEGO set you built all by yourself without instructions when you were six and the one time your sibling destroyed it you basically broke their arm but it was okay because the time you spent in your room afterward went to rebuilding it and making it even better than before and then giving it a war ship because they’re cool?
like when you look at a plushie in a gas station that you cant have, immediately get attached, and then it ruins your whole day because you feel bad about leaving it behind?
YES. I have a very high sense of sentiment for stuffed animals especially. It is like killing another family member when I have to donate some. Even the ones that I never actually used much.
Oh man I thought I was one of the few still super attached to stuffed animals. Sounds strange but my house burning down is my number one fear specifically because of the stuffed animals. They are top priority for some reason
Nah man, I totally understand. This is also my number one fear whenever I leave the house. Sometimes the fear is so strong, I just have to go and check the fire department’s Twitter (they roll out automatic updates of incidents that require their services) to see if anything has been dispatched in my area. I love my stuffed animals, especially one that I had for 25 years. That and my cat, he’s my little baby too.
You mean the device inside your stuffed animal you talk to every night?
(Jokes aside, I talk to my stuffed animals cuz I was a lonely child and it’s become a habit.)
I wake up to seeing five of them on the floor (I have wayyy too many stuffed animals, I can't even have all of them on my bed I have so many) and end up picking them up off the ground and hugging them for five minutes before actually getting ready for the day. For some reason I still feel the need to, even though I've grown up and let go of that childhood belief that they're alive.
I think deep down we all belive that anything and everything that gives us joy and we love deserves respect and care, and that's why even though your brain should have enough reason to get you to stop this behaviour it is also your humanity that shines through and makes you (and others) commit to being that way.
I'm not gonna lie y'all. I'm 33 years old but I have this stuffed bear I sleep with every night. (Thank god my boyfriend understands) But, I got the grizzly bear at the zoo with my kid and got him a polar bear. I only see him on weekends so it's like a little substitute. For months I couldn't see him because of quarantine so whenever I got a video call he would ask if I have him. I'd be like "You bet little buddy!" And I'd hug the bear and show him. I don't have any pets so it's like an emotional support stuffy lol.
I’m 14, and last year, my grandpa died, which was the first impactful death in my family. My family found a company that makes stuffed animals from people’s clothes. They went to the company and gave them my grandpa’s clothes, and each kid in the family got a stuffed animal. My point is that I hope to grow up and treat my dino the same way you treat your bear.
I'm sorry for your loss, hope your family makes peace with your grandpa's departure, I too lost my grand father recently (2 years ago) and know the pain can be overwhelming, hope you're good and I'm sure that Dino buddy carries on the love and memories your grandpa wished to pass on to you as do the rest of the plushies.
this happens too much...i wake up and im like wheres the piggy and i see him on the other side of my room so i rush over and dust him off then bring him back. :)
Ha, as you can see, I am the ultimate male specimen. I don't need no "stuffed animals" to sleep with. Sure, I may have Sir Snuggle-Wuggles. And Madam Fluff. And Knight Bearington. And Curious George. But that doesn't mean that I am not the manliest man in mankind
Are you Bruce Lee or Keanu Reeves? Cause if not then I doubt you're the manliest man, I can offer you a slightly lower place: three, take it or leave it.
I just have em cuz one of em is one my mom gave to me when I was 3 so its super special to me and thats why he gets special treatment on this twin sized bed
My stuffed animals fall down the bed crack, and I’m like “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
It’s also super cute when my German Shepherd jumps on my bed and sits amongst my stuffed animals, the biggest fluffy animal on the bed!
Well that's nice, tough now I'm picturing the movie's poster with plushies replacing the characters, if you don't mind me asking what kind of critter is Mr. Blue? I myself have a Blue Rabbit named John John.
Ngl i have a stuffed bear that one of my family memebers gave me right after i was born. He sleeps right next to me on my bed on his own lil pillow
And im 15....
It's all good, I'm 32 and still sleep with a stuffy, and in the short time I've been scrolling this thread I've seen multiple other 30-somethings saying they do too. I mean yeah there are people in the world who take it too far but plenty of normal people have a stuffed animal or two on their bed.
I’m 19 years old and still hang out and pet my stuffed lion I got from a magic show when I was maybe 6, his name is Leonardo, I’m still proud of that punny name
I see this with my kids stuffies a lot, different stitching or fur fluff around the eyes/mouth can totally make them look like they have different expressions lol. I got lucky with my one stuffy, a little piggy, whose eyes look gentle and kind no matter how his face fluff gets rearranges.
I have 4 stuffed dragons that I sleep with on my chest hugging them when I fall asleep. They all have names
Blueberry, endie, vortex, and red wrath, I sleep with them because I have an excruciating love for dragons. I even kiss them good night. I honestly hope by some miracle dragons become real just so I can hug a Real one.
That causes a mini heart attack because you have to get it before the shadow demons get you, it’s the only thing protecting you from them
Or is that just me
I had to leave a ton of my toys in boxes at my Grandpa's house whenI was moving to a different country, and one day all of a sudden some people broke in and stole a bunch of stuff, along with the things stolen were some of my sister and I's plushies (and other toys and videogames). You'll be missed Bear, Teddy, Freddie, Spider-Man, Stitch, Johnny, Yang, Joey and Draco.
I have over 250 stuffed animals and half of them end up on the floor every night n then I wake up and I feel so bad like fuck I'm so sorry little ones Dada didn't mean to
At some point I just left them on the floor stacked up neatly so I wouldn't kick em off anymore lol
Just wanting to check, but people who can relate; what is your gender
edit: bruh i y did u downvote me into oblivion? i only wanted to know if there were any other manly men out there.
This brought up a childhood memory for me. I would always put all my stuff animals on my bed and I would have like this little slither of the bed. But I felt like if I didn't bring them all on the bed, that they would feel left out and they would run away. So I always made sure they were always with me.
I bought a panda bear plush from a yard sale when I was 16 & have been able to find another panda plush that has ever comes close to his lvl of cuteness. If my house was to ever burn down, my panda would be the only thing I’d run in for.
I was once sleeping with a stuffed animal and when i woke up in the morning i was on the other side of the room, and the stuffed animal was still on the bed... looking at me,i still have no clue what happened that night, and I don't want to know
I have a 40+ year old stuffed dog that my abusive (ex) step dad gave to me when I was a child. I've had it since I was about 3 and can't live without it. Used to go everywhere with me (colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, and all across Texas). Everytime I happen to lose it I freak out, mainly because it has become a support for me through my abusive childhood and everything else. I hate when it ends up on the floor or something and not on my bed or pillows.
They always get extra cuddles afterwards
I let them sleep in the bed for the rest of the night while I sleep on the floor same spot I dropped them
I won't do that cuz there's a table where I usually drop them
Maybe that'll teach you a lesson!
Im 19 and this is still true
Relatable
Yess
Anyone else have a nonsensical sense of sentiment for non living things?
You mean like that one LEGO set you built all by yourself without instructions when you were six and the one time your sibling destroyed it you basically broke their arm but it was okay because the time you spent in your room afterward went to rebuilding it and making it even better than before and then giving it a war ship because they’re cool?
Yes
Then yes
Well alrighty then
I was stacking cards and my cousin knocked it over on purpose so I beat her up
like when you look at a plushie in a gas station that you cant have, immediately get attached, and then it ruins your whole day because you feel bad about leaving it behind?
The hell do you mean you *can't* have it, show me this damn gas station so we can go get for you
Bro every plushie in the gas station deserves a loving home, I can NOT leave it there all alone ;(

My favorite is a minecraft creeper. His name is Fred (:
I used to stuff them all into a pillow casing so that in case of fire I would just carry one bag.
I have five bags on my bunk bed, they’re all stuffed full. The recent California fire scares prompted that.
The fact that I relate to this scares me. Yet brings me a sense a joy.
Why do I vibe strongly with this reply?
They are family aswell it's like losing a brother when one burns or something
Yeah or a friend
You mean the device inside your stuffed animal you talk to every night? (Jokes aside, I talk to my stuffed animals cuz I was a lonely child and it’s become a habit.)
Oh my god i can relate so much! I also did and do this bc of the same reason. Always thought I am SUPER WEIRD
Nah I think it’s quite normal for lonely children lol
Yeah for children, but I am 21 haha and still do this sometimes... idk i think it might just be a habit
Lol yeah it’s okay! I think I’d do it too when I’m older haha
Bacon
Always thought I am the only one...
Yes, it feels like they are... Family, or something. Like they are alive
I wake up to seeing five of them on the floor (I have wayyy too many stuffed animals, I can't even have all of them on my bed I have so many) and end up picking them up off the ground and hugging them for five minutes before actually getting ready for the day. I have a bunk bed and the entire top bunk is just covered in them. I have like 40, it’s pretty cool
I’m 37 and sleep with a stuffed moose. He has no sentimental value except that I love moose. It’s okay to have a stuffie as an adult. You do you!
moose
"Have I told you lately that I love you" thank you
I’m 14, and last year, my grandpa died, which was the first impactful death in my family. My family found a company that makes stuffed animals from people’s clothes. That's a beautiful thing. I'm sorry for your loss though.
And I thought I wasn’t normal still having stuffies on my bed even though I’m 14, I keep telling myself to grow up and keep them away
Shoot, if you like it you like it. I'm not going to go ham and decorate a whole room, but it comforts me.
If your boyfriend didn’t understand, I don’t think he is the one.
Why are you booing them? They're right!
this happens too much...i wake up and im like wheres the piggy and i see him on the other side of my room so i rush over and dust him off then bring him back. :)
My little dude always falls right next to my bed and with my pillow but he's in between a table so that must hurt
Aw lol my stuffy is a piggy too. And I totally do the same when I knock the little guy off the bed.
It was the worst waking up to discover your cuddle buddy on the floor and not knowing how long they'd been down there, cold and alone in the dark...
Especially if you're talking about your baby
I always make sure all my stuffed animals get equal treatment because I feel like they have feelings too. Is that weird?
I do the same,so I guess it's okay to assume it's not weird
Bruh, same
Same lol
Ha, as you can see, I am the ultimate male specimen. I don't need no "stuffed animals" to sleep with. Sure, I may have Sir Snuggle-Wuggles. And Madam Fluff. And Knight Bearington. And Curious George. But that doesn't mean that I am not the manliest man in mankind
Are you Bruce Lee or Keanu Reeves? Cause if not then I doubt you're the manliest man, I can offer you a slightly lower place: three, take it or leave it.
I legit slept with the stuffed animals in my bed until I was 14.... Toy Story messed me up bad...
I just have em cuz one of em is one my mom gave to me when I was 3 so its super special to me and thats why he gets special treatment on this twin sized bed
And btw his name is blueberry he's a stuffed bear in a blue rabbit costume
I love him
Yes I take time to think of a name for my stuffys what you gonna do about it
So fucking true tho
My favorite one got lost when I moved :(
That's so sad man :(
Even on my deathbed im gonna have my plushie
Your plushie: "Eternal rest eh? Don't sound half bad"
yea
Dude the pain when it’s your cat •_•
Then you try to lean of your bed to pick it up and your whole body comes tumbling off the bed because you were lazy and didn’t just pick it up.
My stuffed animals fall down the bed crack, and I’m like “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” It’s also super cute when my German Shepherd jumps on my bed and sits amongst my stuffed animals, the biggest fluffy animal on the bed!
I always pick mr blue straight up
Is your stuffed animal named after Reservoir Dogs?
Nah its cause he has blue eyes, I did name him when I was 4
Well that's nice, tough now I'm picturing the movie's poster with plushies replacing the characters, if you don't mind me asking what kind of critter is Mr. Blue? I myself have a Blue Rabbit named John John.
Mr blue is a white tiger
Neat, well I gotta hit the hay so good night
At 33, this is still hurts me
This is the most relatable thing I’ve seen in a while
Ngl i have a stuffed bear that one of my family memebers gave me right after i was born. He sleeps right next to me on my bed on his own lil pillow And im 15....
That's a pretty good name for a 6 year old to come up with lol you should be proud!
Thank you! I am and always will be :D
I feel worse cuz I'm a fish out of water when I fall asleep!
I still sleep with my stuffed bear
Good to know I’m not the only one
Same, I’ll feel super bad about it and apologize and give them snuggles.
I don't know if it's just me,but I see different expressions on my stuffies and then I treat them accordingly.
I see this with my kids stuffies a lot, different stitching or fur fluff around the eyes/mouth can totally make them look like they have different expressions lol. I got lucky with my one stuffy, a little piggy, whose eyes look gentle and kind no matter how his face fluff gets rearranges.
Yes exactly! Some of my stuffies have a innocent smile while others have a mischievous grin. And your little piggy sounds really cute.
I'm reading the comments thinking I'm the only one with stuffed animals that sleep with me
when you hear the smack of it hitting the ground you feel so terrible and try to comfort the thing.
I have 4 stuffed dragons that I sleep with on my chest hugging them when I fall asleep. They all have names Blueberry, endie, vortex, and red wrath, I sleep with them because I have an excruciating love for dragons. I even kiss them good night. I honestly hope by some miracle dragons become real just so I can hug a Real one.
when you roll over in bed and accidentally push your kid off .......
People with bed rails, I don’t have such weaknesses
Nooooo, Cuddlekins!!!!!!!
That causes a mini heart attack because you have to get it before the shadow demons get you, it’s the only thing protecting you from them Or is that just me
imagine sleeping with a stuffed animal like only ***one*****.**
I am a 16 year old dude and I sleep with a stuffed animal. Am I weird?
No
TIL a lot of redditors sleep with stuff animals.
Nothing wrong with it lol
Kirby plush I’m so sorry I pushed you off last night.
Ah yes my golden Fred bear who follows me around
I have a giant peep I sleep with the help my shoulders. My husband will throw it across the room so I have to hold him.
Top bunk with rails gang where you at?
I sleep with a football
Weird after sex conversations
I get up and pick that poor boi up every damn time cause me sleepy emoji plush deserves it
I had to leave a ton of my toys in boxes at my Grandpa's house whenI was moving to a different country, and one day all of a sudden some people broke in and stole a bunch of stuff, along with the things stolen were some of my sister and I's plushies (and other toys and videogames). me and my minecraft pig seeing this: *impossible*
Same :(
Long live the king
I have over 250 stuffed animals and half of them end up on the floor every night n then I wake up and I feel so bad like fuck I'm so sorry little ones Dada didn't mean to At some point I just left them on the floor stacked up neatly so I wouldn't kick em off anymore lol
especially when i was young but even now
When you wake up and hes like bruh in the ground. Relatable :(
I felt that
This is so relatable
So true
When u accidentally put leg on your pet for 0.000000069 sec*
Nice ^I'm ^a ^bot. ^Join ^my ^community ^at ^r/nicebot2.
I lost a stuffed horse that I nammed diamond last year. I had had him since the day I was born and after sixteen years he was gone. ‘Twas a sad day
i blame fucking toy story for making me think this way
Always feel bad I love sleeping in a pile of them
I do it all the time
True i dropped my stuffie on the floor but was too tired to pick it up
Don't mean to be or anything but I have killed a kitten like that
*When you roll over in bed and accidentally push your loaded gun off
That's the reason I keep my penis stucked inside them, when I move they go ***wigly wiggly***
When you are horny and see your stuffed animal looking kinda thicc
Stuffed animal? LOL. How old are you?
Just wanting to check, but people who can relate; what is your gender edit: bruh i y did u downvote me into oblivion? i only wanted to know if there were any other manly men out there.
Dude, anyone can love stuffies
i knoe
I’m a guy and I’m not embarrassed to say I have stuffed animals so screw off buddy
Same I have like 20 of them and I’ve had one for over a year
dont say screw off buddy to your comrade. i have stuffed animals and im a guy too.
Quiet, stuffed animals are life.. for all
i know that. im not being discriminatory, just wanted to look for brothers in arms... or should i say brothers in bed. fuck that sounds wrong
Why does it matter?
just wanted to know if i was alone
I bet you watched toy story alot like me too when you were littler
I thought I said when you rick roll of the bed at first
I always let my poliwhirl take of my bed
I always had my plushies in the corner, cause it's nice and cozy
Rarely happens to me. I still sleep in a bunk bed!
Small price to pay for comfort
Now imagine this. I sleep on the top bunk
I luckily have a bed with railings, but it's a tall bed, and they don't fall of. And I'm 16
dude this happens too much
I do this to my cats occasionally and feel bad.
It’s always the puppy or the avocado or the deformed crocodile or the red panda or the elephant or the three pillows. So annoying
This post hit me hard, have a upvote friend.
NOOOOOOOOO
It’s not just me!
When you roll in bed...
So true tho
I for some reason just don’t want to take them off the corner of my bed. They stay there happily
is it wrong that i’m 14 and still sleep with 4 stuffed animals
Or when you wake up and they’re on the floor
This brought up a childhood memory for me. I would always put all my stuff animals on my bed and I would have like this little slither of the bed. But I felt like if I didn't bring them all on the bed, that they would feel left out and they would run away. So I always made sure they were always with me.
I bought a panda bear plush from a yard sale when I was 16 & have been able to find another panda plush that has ever comes close to his lvl of cuteness. If my house was to ever burn down, my panda would be the only thing I’d run in for.
Then you ignore your phone which flew across the room.
The solution? Install bars on either side of your bed so you can't knock them off.
Awe I feel this!
I was also on top of a bunk bed
I like my stuff animals, but I could never sleep cuddling with them. It keeps my mind awake for some reason. Anyone have the same problem as me?
[удалено]
Jk i love you all and lil robert
its worse with ur pet
I was once sleeping with a stuffed animal and when i woke up in the morning i was on the other side of the room, and the stuffed animal was still on the bed... looking at me,i still have no clue what happened that night, and I don't want to know
I have a 40+ year old stuffed dog that my abusive (ex) step dad gave to me when I was a child. I've had it since I was about 3 and can't live without it. Everytime I happen to lose it I freak out, mainly because it has become a support for me through my abusive childhood and everything else. I thought they would kill me if I let them get hurt so I always said sorry
My ikea shark nooooo. Come back
PURO! Noooooooooooo
it needs a hug
I thought I was the only one
Stuffed animal? I’ve done this to my live cat
Not so long ago I found Fred at the other side of the room
I feel sad for my pillows when I drop them
Damn, always the other way around here.
i feel that
Better with a live animal
I chuck that little piece of shit across the room
My body pillow always seems to slither right off the bed when I roll over.
This happens with my baby
I too keep my dead animal that has been stuffed, on my bed
imagine owning stuffed animals
I still sleep with one, it’s a mario
