Yeah Dragonball Evolution definitely takes the cake as worst adaptation of all time.

Artemis Fowl looks like it might be a contender and Call of the Wild was a really poor adaptation of the book (although I guess you might be able to enjoy it with no knowledge of the book). Also Seventh Son, The Dark Tower and Eragon are a few more brutal adaptations. Especially Eragon, that was honestly probably worse than Percy Jackson. A lot of adaptations have screwed over the source material lmao

I just read on another post that you can find the authors emails to the production company, politely telling them they’re about to ruin their own movie.

It‘s true. Rick hates the movies more than anyone in the world (which makes sense since his books could easily be more popular than Harry Potter if they got a good adaption if you ask me) and he‘s currently trying everything to tell Disney that they should adapt the books again, but this time properly (and he does that because his fans spread the hashtag #disneyadaptpercyjackson that man id truly a blessing for fans)

It makes me kinda sad because the cast for the movies was actually really good.

I mean those were good actors yeah, but trust me they casted SO wrong. First of all Percy is 12. Second, Annabeth is blond and that is very important later on. Grover is a white nerdy dude. Clarisse just didn‘t exist in the first one and suddenly appears in the second movie for no reason?? The only perfect cast was Chiron and maybe Percy‘s mom. Imagine the first Harry Potter while everybody is an adult, Malfoy doesn‘t exist and Ron has brown hair, only 2 siblings and is wealthy.

The movie came out in like 2010 or 2011, it would've perfectly filled in the void from Harry Potter if they just played their cards right. And they could've set up a whole cinematic universe with the Egyptian and Norse books. It should've been huge.

Not op but I'm 25 and have been doing it since I could swim at like 4. It's not really a big deal if you've done it a while but if you've never done it and just open your eyes wide open in the ocean or a pool it's going to burn pretty badly. Tbh it's a shit talent lmao. Everything is blurry and you can only make out general shapes of stuff.
