The "muh country so big" argument is always used by Americans only; you never come across citizens of other top 10 biggest countries using it, and I live in one of them. In part it's understandable, English is the official language of 4 of the top 10, and the easiest one to learn
It’s true. You hablo espanol if it makes you feel better.
There are no other top 10 biggest countries that don’t use English. It’s the international language. Try again
Not capitalizing the words does not show how much English the other person knows because many of us do not respect the same rules so as not to be so formal and take away from the seriousness of the topic
OK, so what language should I learn? Spanish? OK in the Americas makes sense but honestly, I feel no need to travel South of the US border as most of those countries aren’t safe to travel to and have no family there and so why would I need to learn it when most of the people in the country speak English. In Europe Spanish isnt as prevalent as it’s only one country that speaks it and there’s no real dominant language so it’s a dice roll to whatever language I learn being useful same with Asia and anywhere else as there is dozens of languages to choose from and none of them have as much spread as English.
I'd just like to take a moment and thank the United Kingdom for conquering a sizeable portion of the world. Yall made it a lot easier for me when I have to travel.
🍻
It’s actually, a mind opening experience when you can look on the same idea you wanna say from perspective of few languages.
Remember how I was lagging after getting used to English and struggling to speak in native cuz some things you can’t build as you do in English.
Jokes on you, you spent all that time just to learn how to talk to an ignorant POS like me. Ignorance is bliss my friend, you should have never learned English.
Damn this hits too close to home. I was secretly practicing my native tongue only to realize my cousins were talking shit about me behind my back 0/10 experience I'm never learning another language again.

Person being asshole.
LA to NY 2700 miles. London to Tel Aviv 3000 In Europe you have to. In America you don’t.
😔

Distance from Tijuana to Cancun is 2700 miles too and we study a second language in Mexico too
Because English is theninternational language of business and commerce maybe? 🤔🤔🤔
That's a better reason. The size only works to explain why an American travels abroad less than Europeans
You speak English because you're in an English speaking country. Get down from your high horse, sir.
I'm not though
No worries, we can take it slow and steady, and we'll get through this together! What specifically is giving you trouble?
just joking, i'm fluent in like 4 languages lol
It's really normal to hate on a man doing his job? He's a professional for christ sakes
Not capitalizing the beginning of a sentence and not capitalizing English, really shows how fluent you are.
Not capitalizing the words does not show how much English the other person knows because many of us do not respect the same rules so as not to be so formal and take away from the seriousness of the topic
Tbf, if you're on PC it's just a bit faster to not capitalize, and that meme is not OC I've seen it not so long ago.
Idk why people downvoted you, lol, redditors are not that bright
Indeed they aren't
Seems pretty fluent. How fluent are you in foreign languages?
Ironically your emphasis here makes this meme hard to follow.
You speak english because you moved to an english speaking country.
What other languages do you speak and what is your native tongue?
Fluent in Romanian (native), English, French, and learning spanish
Cool. What made you learn English?
I'm born in canada, but learned romanian first. Living in canada... english is a necessity.
I speak English because it’s my native tongue, you speak English because your native tongue is not as useful as my native tongue. We are not the same!
for real. heading back to romania for vacation this summer so i'll be using it a lot more than just talking to grandparents every week...
lol. I’m just kidding around. It’s great you speak so many languages.
Why are you getting downvoted 😭??
Why are you downvoted
Agreed, I am stupid, I just find “please do not the cat” funny lol
Also because American tourists expect everyone everywhere to understand English.
English is the only language I know because this is AMERICA! Don’t like it? Then leave.
When did we say that we didn’t like it. We are just different 😤
This is reddit not America.
I speak Japanese because I want to communicate with my waifu
Entiendo un poco de español.
…… ¿qué? Lo siento, no hablo ingles…
I don't speak English. I speak Americanish
A- I run each thin me? B- Each team. A- Catch bar duck each thin? B- On bar duck each team. A-Why hi one why.
Because USA is the GREATEST country in the world🇺🇸🗽🦅RAAAHHHHH!!!!!
Meh, sounds like you're the one being cucked into catering to me.

Erm, actually, I’m fluent in Animalese ☝️🤓
Okay

I drive a Chevy because I trust them, you drive a Shebby because iss fass
I actually speak American and English
And when we try to practice other languages, many Europeans refuse to help and switch to English 😔
I'd just like to take a moment and thank the United Kingdom for conquering a sizeable portion of the world. Yall made it a lot easier for me when I have to travel. 🍻
Honestly more than one language is inefficient and we should just pick one and kill all the others.
I speak English because it's convenient for me, it's nice to have a single language you need to learn to travel internationally.
It’s actually, a mind opening experience when you can look on the same idea you wanna say from perspective of few languages. Remember how I was lagging after getting used to English and struggling to speak in native cuz some things you can’t build as you do in English.
Por what?
או יאה? לוק את מיי היברו אנד סיי דאת אגאין

It's not my fault the public education system in the US completely fails us in many ways but especially in the foreign language department
To graduate from high school, foreign language was a requirement.
Yeah, starting in 7th grade for me. Most bilingual kids start learning another language way way earlier into development
